Made a silly choice and left at some point to try a different dentist shortly after I got married and got on my husbands insurance, but came back as a patient when I realized what a gem this place is. The other office felt like going to a spa...an expensive spa where they didn't stick to their estimates or prices and kept finding new ways to charge me for services I didn't need. I don't want a spa, I want a good dentist who will treat me well, with honesty and integrity. Thats what Lowry dental is. Great family business I'll keep coming back to.

They got back to me first thing Monday morning and got me in that afternoon to see the doctor. Infection had set in by that time and I was starting to feel feverish, but the moment I walked in the door, I began to feel better. Everyone there, from the front desk receptionist to Dr. Lowry's assistant, to Dr. Lowry himself was friendly, caring and responsive to my needs. They clearly communicated my options and convinced me to go with a less invasive procedure. Because of Dr. Lowry's careful preparation and numbing of the area, the extraction itself was absolutely painless. I didn't even realize that he had removed the tooth until he offered to show it to me. Afterwards, Dr. Lowry and his assistant made sure that I understood the post-care protocol and took the time to answer all of my questions. I live in Seattle and visit Boise for work. I wish I could find a practice like this in Seattle.

We arrived at a good time filled the require paperwork for a new patient. The ladies up front where nice and greeted us with a smile. We didn't have to wait to long to be taken to the back. Upon arrival I was asked to provide my insurance, Which I provided. My appointment was a simple check up Hers was a teeth cleaning and check up. I was charged a teeth cleaning on my appointment for some reason as well despite not getting one. After our appointments I paid the co-pay based on what my "insurance covered" according to the lady billing me out. I then had future appointments scheduled for some cavities that needed filling for my wife and I about 3-4 months out. Along with the scheduled date, I was given a printout based on what my insurance covers and what I would have to pay after my next appointment. We go to our next appointments get our cavities filled. I head over to the front counter to be billed and get charged an additional $650 for the cavities being filled. I asked why this amount differed significantly from the quote I received. I was told that the quote was incorrect and upon communication with my dental provider, my insurance did not cover as much. I thought it was weird, but paid it anyways. Three months after my appointment, I get a call saying that I owed an additional $750. When I asked why, I was told because "they forgot to tell me that they do not work with Aetna for dental insurance." Pretty convenient on their behalf to wait until after my last appointment. After my first appointment I had recommended this place to a few friends of mine because the staff seemed friendly. This same thing happened to a friend of mine where they were told far after their appointments that they "forgot they did not work with their dental provider." Not sure if this was a simple office mistake on their behalf or if they are running some kind of scam here But to happen to two people in that short of a time frame makes me truly question. Needless to say, I'm at about a year after my last appointment and for the first time in my life, my teeth that were worked on are sensitive to hot and cold. I do not recommend this place there are several other dentists close by that will take better care of you. ***EDIT*** Upon reading more of their reviews it sounds like I wasn't the first person this happened to.

It was hands down the worst dental experience I've had. I told her I require more numbing juice than most and she wouldn't give me any more after I was saying I was in pain. I alerted the assistant that I was in pain and the dentist kept going. The temporary crown fell off two days after it was put on and the permanent doesn't fit my night guard that I wear. Ever since this procedure that side of my mouth has been painful to chew on. Makes me wonder if I actually needed the procedure or if they needed the money, it wasnt cheap. I have not been to the dentist since and I am normally a habitual visitor for cleanings. I will be going somewhere else.
