I applied for the Autograph card and tried to get help with Rewards on the phone. For 2 consecutive days I waited on hold for several hours. After waiting for an hour or more a representative answered and could not help me and put me back into another queue but same department to wait for another hour. There was once I got through to Rewards and that person could not help either. When she tried to connect me with someone else the call dropped and I did not get a call back. Furthermore the instructions on the website to redeem rewards are not explicit so I have questions and the persons thus far have not been able to help. I got a hold of a travel agent who connected me to Rewards but that person could not help with Travel Rewards so once again put into another queue waiting. After so far wasted time of 5 hours I am exasperated at the ineptitude that I have experienced. To be fair to my local branch, this has no bearing on the service they provide. read more

Horrible experience at Wells Fargo. I walked in, greeted the teller politely, and asked for a simple cash advance--something I've done multiple times before with no issues. Right away, she seemed uninterested and kept trying to send me to Bank of America next door instead of just helping me. When she finally processed it, I gave her my ID, debit card, and all the required info. The transaction declined--which can happen--but before I even said a single word, she immediately jumped in with a rude, defensive tone saying she "doesn't know the restrictions," as if I was about to question her. I wasn't even going to ask. The entire interaction was weird and unnecessary. The attitude, the dismissiveness, and the lack of basic customer service made it clear she didn't want to help from the start. I stayed respectful the whole time, but that clearly wasn't mutual. She tried to be to intimidating with her stares but I wasn't intimidated at all, I thought it was odd and childish, because we're at a bank. We're not teens in high school. For reference, this was the teller at the far end of the counter closest to the sofas--a blonde woman with blue eyes--so management can properly address it. I also like to add that after my card was declined I went next door to bank of america to get my money it was closed. They close at 4 and Wells Fargo is open until 5. I'm still a bit confused as to why she would send me next door, but okay. Really disappointing experience. Do better, Wells Fargo. read more

Went into the local La Canada branch today with an appointment to open a savings account with an online offer code. Got great help from Celine, who was a pro and real helpful and concise. She was able to apply the offer, and upgrade the account with another promotion as well. Casually asked who else I use for banking without pushing other products, and was nice and easy to chat with. I received printouts showing account status, and the banker was very deliberate about sharing monthly fees and how to avoid them, what product I was signing up for, disclosures, multiple signatures, etc. Overall a very thorough and helpful experience, and I would feel comfortable coming back again. read more

I've visited four branches in the last two weeks and have not been able to get service at any of them. (Branches 1-2) Whenever you find your business continuity plan, recycle the paper it's printed on because you'll get some return on that at least. If you can't keep retail branch terminals up and running 99.9% during business hours, then go back to paper. If I walk into a branch and want to conduct basic transactions like withdrawing cash without my ATM card, I shouldn't be faced with a line of fifty similarly-pissed off customers while the branch staff stare in futility at their frozen screens. It makes me question not just the availability of my funds but their security. You really sabotaged your retail branches by giving them no alternatives to serve customers other than your creaky IT infrastructure. (Branches 3-4) Having Saturday branch hours 9-12 pm is insufficient, especially when they're posted incorrectly on popular online maps (Yelp, Google, Apple etc.) as Open from 9-4 pm or 24 hours (ATM only.) read more

What a terrible bank. Slow slow service. Rude service. There's only ever 2-3 windows open and long lines. They are clearly trying to cut labor cost and maximize profits. Smh Wells Fargo. Why do you fail in every aspect. I drive out of my way to Pasadena because they are a little bit more organized there and have staffing a bit more under control. Have not been here for awhile and I can see why!! First of all, please remove the pen from the counter if it no longer has ink in it! Secondly, first you get rid of the coffee machine and now there's no bottles of water or candy?!?! Lastly, your tellers need to be more customer friendly!! Just because I walk into the bank wearing shorts, t shirt, and flip flops does not mean I am ignorant!! I dress up conservatively all week when I am at work and when I am off, I want to be comfortable!! Worst service ever. They don't know what they are doing. I wanted to open an account from wells fargo but I had no valid Id. A manager from another branch(Branch A) told me I can bring my expired driver's license and temporary driver license from DMV. So I visited this branch with those two but the guy said they can't open an account with them because of rule of wells fargo. I told him these are what I've told to bring from another branch, but guy said they are wrong and said I need to bring temporary driver license with my picture on it (he kept saying he've seen that before) I searched google and people said California doesn't issue pictured temporary driver's license unless I take driving test (so not for renewing case) I went to another branch (not same as Branch A) and they said they have no issue opening account with them. So I opened account from there successfully with exactly same documents. I don't know what kind of rules this branch is using. very very unique ~ special~ rule. Don't go to this branch if you don't want to waste your time. read more

Let's talk Obfuscation: My mother was a former Administrative employee, she is now deceased. Twice I've gone in to obtain information: BOTH times I provided Identification, Certificate of Death, & a copy of the Trust. I have gotten absolutely no help from either of the managers.... First time I was told: "The beneficiaries have already been notified", which was a lie... I was notified 4 months later. Then they refused to give me information regarding the disposition of the stocks. The second time I went in, earlier this week, I spoke w/ a middle manager... She couldn't help me & needed the Branch Manager to help. Did the Branch Manager come out to help me? Hell No! I need a Medallion Signature Stamp in order to access my stock shares, but would they give me one? Hell No! I don't have an account (but I have stock)! As I got up to leave, the manager I was dealing with, actually had the audacity to say to me: "Have a good rest of the day"!? I HATE Wells Fargo and I can not wait to be done with them. read more

Customer service is dead. Use the ATM. I went to the branch to open an account and verbally scheduled one for 4:30 pm the following day. The confirmation was for an appointment two days later at an earlier time after I had explained the earliest I could be there was 4:30. Lucky I was able to open an account online. read more

After 20-some years, the time has come to look for another bank (or maybe a credit union). With all the bad publicity WFB have been receiving over the past 12-18 months, you would think they would up their customer service game. Nope; not the case. Seven days ago, I called and ordered foreign currency for an upcoming trip to Kenya and was told the currency should arrive within 3-4 days. Received a call from Wells that the currency had arrived! GREAT. However, when I drove to the back to pick up the currency, the one and only person who handles the foreign currency is off on Thursdays. No other bank employee, including the bank manager, was able to access the foreign currency. Ok, so I go back today, Friday, at 2p.m., and the same employee who is off on Thursdays is now on break at 2 pm (for another "40 mins") and, again, no other bank employee is able to access the foreign currency. I am still trying to figure out how a major national bank employs only one employee to handle foreign currency and does not have a backup person to handle the times when the first employee is out of the office and/or is on break. read more

Wells Fargo as a company is obviously having major problems, but this specific branch which is the most convenient for me to get to has the worst people working at it. The tellers always try to put a different length of hold on our checks even though they are always from the same company. How is someone expected to run a business with a business account at Wells Fargo if they constantly put holds on your checks? The Wells Fargo website and app look archaic compared to Chase's and for some reason they decided to force people into opening a business savings account when opening a business checking account. The account auto transfers money into the savings every month that we don't want to move out of our checking otherwise they charge us fees. Wells Fargo fucking sucks for small businesses. BE WARNED. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY OR THIS SHITTY BRANCH IF YOU ARE USING A BUSINESS ACCOUNT. read more

Wow!!!! this location is awesome. It seems like everyone is super friendly and best of all the service is always fast!!!!

The good: I like the building, which is roomy and comfortable and the parking is easy. The bad: A while ago, when I was waiting at the line for depositing a check, I observed tellers were giggling each other speaking foreign language (non-Spanish) for a extended time. I believe they were not making fun of me, but it's not a pleasant experience and... nor a good practice in the service industry. The ugly: 1) They asked me to apply for a debit card and I declined. They said it's required and forced me to apply one (they implied that without it, I can't do banking transactions, such as withdrawing money from the branch tell counter). I didn't check my statement, but it wonder if they charged for issuing or using the debit card. 2) For my son's account with Wells Fargo bank, as his check was bounced due to insufficient fund, to my surprise, the bank paid the check with a fee instead of returning the check. When I asked the bank to bounce the check if it happens again in the future. Their answer was they can't. This is another way of making profit (unscrupulous business model). I had to close the account. I still maintain my account with them as it's in the convenient location; hopefully they improve their integrity . read more
