I knocked off a star because only two tellers were working in the morning, and there was a bit of a wait. They do have a coin machine here in the branch - only one - could probably fit another coin machine given how big this branch is. Two ATMs upfront, but they are relatively older looking, so I opted to head inside to the tellers to do my cash transaction. They should consider upgrading their ATMs to the modern ones that SchoolsFirst recently rolled out county-wide. That said, the plus is that if you belong to a credit union, you can still pull cash fee-free from the Wescom ATMs in front of the branch.

I mentioned that I had a check to deposit while I was there and she said she could handle that for me. She ran it through her machine, gave me a receipt and sent me on my way. She called back a few minutes later because she forgot to get a piece of vital info for the trust. A mistake, oh well,I gave it to her. No biggy. But then the following day Kelly called to tell me that the check I deposited was a foreign check from Canada. She says they don't accept foreign checks anymore. I explain that she gave me a receipt. She says,"yeah, that's on me. I guess I should have looked at the check." Hmmm. She tells me they reversed the deposit and now I need to come in and get the check. Confused, I ask if they have any suggestion on what my next step might be,she says "yeah, we don't accept those anymore." Three times at least. I say I understand and she says do you want me to see if they can make an exception for you? I reply in the affirmative. She ultimately sends me to a manager. I ask the manager if she has any recommendations to handle my issue. She says "we don't accept those anymore." Yes,I've heard that. Sigh. Any advice? She says I should open an account at a larger bank. I was dumbfounded. Change banks was their answer. Who says that? Move my money somewhere else? They accepted the check. This was not my mistake, it was their mistake. They did nothing to rectify it. The manager rattled off a few other things they don't do anymore and suggested having accounts at a larger bank might be the best option for me. AGAIN. I was so upset. I really loved this bank but this behavior is absurd and unacceptable. They are not the bank they once were.

There are a lot of great credit unions out there. This is not one. They are not very helpful and…read morewill not protect you against fraud. I moved to them from u.s Bank so I could have less exposure to the worldwide web and having my information out there among thousands of bank employees. When I moved my money over I had no access to it for 2 weeks and was not able to pay my mortgage. It ended up hurting my credit. Then I experienced an $80 fraud charge and instead of helping me I got an interrogation and them telling me that I gave my card to the fraudsters and therefore they weren't going to help me get my money back. They even went as far to tell me they were going to review the phone call with me and an agent to see if I stated I gave my card information. The question should have never been asked. There are numerous types of scams out there and many people don't know often if they are dealing with a real institution or someone pretending. Regardless, most large banks like Bank of America or Wells Fargo would have already got my money back. These guys were not willing and therefore do not deserve my account.

When I pulled up to the plaza, the bank was easy to spot with big signage at street level. I walked in and was immediately greeted by two friendly staff, Anna and Isabella. Before walking into the branch I was upset because the banker, who opened my account at another location, had not returned replied to my voicemail or emails from last week. As soon as I was assisted by Anna, I got the sense of urgency and concern to help. Anna asked me what issue I was having took down my information. Telephone banking had a long hold, so Anna told me she would call me later to not have me waiting too long. I thought, "oh great, she'll never call me back." I was AMAZED at how quickly (within the hour) Anna called me with great news and a solution to my issue. I wish I had visited this branch from day one to build better relationship. Anna took my issue and handled it from start to finish without making me feel neglected. Thank you Anna! Also, thank you to Isabella for helping me at the teller window with other requests.
