My wife and I stopped by this Wells Fargo after eating lunch at CPK nearby. My wife is a long term Well Fargo member while I just use Chase for my bank. This Well Fargo has its own parking lot on the back, a drive thru ATM and a regular ATM in the front on the street of Ventura. You don't have much privacy on the street so I'll never advise using that ATM. My wife was able to withdraw money from the ATM with no issues. read more

Please fire Eric and the blonde lady who I will get her name and update asap IMMEDIATELY I walked in there to try and speak with a banker so I could close my account due to continuous unauthorized charges from the mobile tap due to my phone being stolen. He was very rude and ignorant upon me, walking up to the window he was very unprofessional and had a very bad attitude. That did not help already with my situation as I was already under stress he continued what a sarcastic, rude attitude, and I finally went to go wait for a banker to be ready. I seen him go speaking with the other blonde lady and actually took her to the back once she was finished with another customer mind you she sat at her desk doing nothing for over 15 minutes. I continue to be patient and wait and then I seen her go and take two clients who came after me after I sat there and waited for 30 minutes already. Three stars is the highest rating I can give a bank branch. As with all Wells Fargo Banks, they are guilty of having a line out the door, with only 2 of the 8 teller windows open at one time. This has been a normal practice for all bank branches, regardless of the institution. However, the drive through ATM here is very convenient (never go at night). I use it often and I have not been delayed with a line. Three stars for the 7-days- a-week convenience of this drive-thru ATM. read more

If I could give this Wells Fargo location zero stars, I absolutely would. My recent experience there was beyond frustrating and humiliating. I walked in with my California driver's license and debit card--things that should be sufficient to access my own money, right? But apparently, in Wells Fargo's world, those don't mean a thing unless you also have your cell phone with you. They refused to give me access to MY OWN MONEY because I didn't have my phone. They insisted on sending a verification code to my phone, which, of course, I couldn't receive because I didn't have it on me. Since when did having a cell phone become mandatory for accessing your bank account? This policy is utterly ridiculous and unacceptable. I had to leave the bank, go home, get my phone, and come back just to access MY funds. If this is how they treat their customers, I shudder to think what else they might be messing up. Wells Fargo, you need to get your act together--no one should need a phone to access their own money! To top it all off, when I returned with my phone, I had to wait behind five people, causing me to miss my business appointment. And here's the kicker: after all that, when I finally sat down with the manager, she asked me to wait while she verified a cashier's check I had already confirmed last week at the Oxnard location. It was a $12,000 cashier's check--they verified it and gave me $4,000 at the time. So why am I being put through this verification process again at this branch? This place is a complete joke. It gets even worse. While I was dealing with the manager, she actually raised her voice at me, telling me to get off the phone because I was complaining to my girlfriend about the situation. She insisted I get off the phone because she was "trying to help me," but it was clear she thought I was committing fraud. She even had the nerve to ask me what I was doing with the money why was I taking it out and how was I going to use it? She claims that they told her over the phone that was a question she needed to ask another words I need to tell the bank what I'm taking the money out for and how I'm gonna spend my money that is the craziest thing I've ever heard of , After all this, she eventually apologized, gave me my money, and explained that they've had a lot of issues with fraudulent cashier's checks. But the damage was done--I was treated like an absolute criminal. I felt deeply embarrassed, with the entire Wells Fargo staff and customers looking at me as if I had done something wrong. I was just waiting for the police to walk through the door. This was one of the most humiliating experiences of my life. Avoid this Wells Fargo branch at all costs. read more

What a waste and joke of a local community bank. I have been banking here 8-10 years already and haven't gotten anywhere. Waste of time applying for loans and accounts, these people also harass conflict of interest towards peoples day. Every day you hear there has been a breach or leak in the system, what a scam. The network shows the shitty neighbors and programs this business try's to put people through. Waste of time to apply for this brand company cause there is no trust. Unbelievable!!!!!!!!! Came here to add a checking account and they told me to wait for a representative, 1 hour later they said I need to make an appointment! Ok So I make an appointment for 2:30pm this Friday and when I show up they tell me that they don't have it on the schedule! I've been banking with WF for at least 10 years now. This Studio City location was always my favorite, even tho Ventura and Colwater is much closer. For the last few months there's only 2 tellers available. Even day after the Labor Day weekend, with 30 people in line, there's still 2 tellers, so if you're last it's gonna be at least45mins. Meanwhile you got 2-4 guys walking in circles pretending to look busy. They will sometime ask you about your transactions but most of the time they just send you over to the teller anyway (thanks for nothing) I used to be in and out in under 3 minutes. Now 15 minutes in line if I'm lucky. Maybe it's the new management that changed a while back. If it was my business I'd start with the lady manager who thinks she's too cool to assist you. 80% of the people working there might as well be a wall ornament. Ok I vented. Sadly Wells Fargo is a FEES based only Company. And the prompt that comes up with "we are trying our best" goes right out of the window. You have charged my account twice in one day of fees and allowed payments to go through without money in my account. When the direct deposit hit the next day.. ruthless. Wells Fargo has again changed their policies on cash deposits. They added a new restriction too, which cannot help its customers and is in the guise of fraud protection. When I asked the teller, Why do you keep changing policies? Because it meant that I'd walked all that way, possibly for nothing: she responded that "she" hadn't changed any policies and hadn't even been working there when the policy was changed. Hopefully it's obvious to most that I wasn't asking her, personally, why she had made the national policy change for all Wells Fargo banks. "You" as a pronoun has many definitions and in this case referred to the bank she represents. Then she decided before I could answer her question that I wasn't going to go ahead with my cash deposit for a family member. She ripped up the deposit slip and then got mad at me when I said I would go ahead with it. In the end I couldn't do the deposit without fees and it wasn't going to be enough to help my family member - I had to come back anyway! Bad banking practices, yet again, and bad service every time I've been to the Studio City Wells Fargo over the years. No wonder the bank pushed for fraudulently opened accounts. I love US BANK. It didn't need or ask for or receive a bailout for the 2008 crash and I've never had an issue with them since 2006!! After Bank of America changed the timing of deposits in my checking account to show later than withdrawals and I had to complain to the Better Business Bureau with proof to get fees reversed - after requesting the same from different branches and phone reps. I highly recommend US Bank with store branches open outside normal bank hours and many options to help customers and friendly staff, they're the best! They manage their money right, too! read more

Extremely slow!! Long lines and only two people work. Tons of people behind the window doing other tasks, while costumers wait 30 min in line to make a deposit. Manager needs to do a better job to assign personal and have more windows open. Blond hair woman ( I think a manager) is absolutely useless. It is Friday morning after 9 in the morning. One teller and 6 people in line for the teller. 9:10 and still waiting in line now 5 people in line. You would think that when a business opens at 9:00 they would be ready for their customers but no you would be incorrect. This review is for Wells Fargo in general. Covid has hit my accounts hard. I've been laid off since March and so has my husband. Clearly with this situation, we do not have direct deposit since we are not receiving paychecks at the moment. Unemployment is only a fraction of what we were earning so our funds are low and we are sweeping through our savings. What does Wells Fargo do? The big bank move. They take advantage of the situation, hit all of our accounts with fees over and over for not having checks direct deposited EVEN THOUGH I called and explained the situation. They are hitting me with transfer fees as well - ANYTHING they can nickel and dime their struggling clientele with while the economy suffers this pandemic. It's ridiculous and it's classless. I had a stressful housing situation today, in which my property manager claimed I didn't pay my rent. This branch helped me prove that the money order had indeed been cashed, in writing. This happens every now again, because I have an awful landlord who tries to dupe me into paying rent 2x for one month. This branch has always helped in these highly stressful situations. I've been a customer of Wells Fargo since I was 16. Today I tried to open my second bank account and the teller, didn't get his name, he was the only male working, basically told me I couldn't open a second checking account unless it was a business account because they were closing accounts? Which didn't make any sense!! All I wanted was to open a second account!! I opened it with chase now.. but literally he got in a heated argument with my boyfriend because of the attitude he provides us with since we walked in.. my boyfriend has 3 accounts with Wells Fargo and he's never been asked to open a business account. Unlike the WF at 14601 Ventura (the branch that eventually helped me open an account and who were very professional), the 12251 Ventura Blvd branch, where Abid Ali made it unnecessarily complicated and almost impossible to open a legitimate Non-Profit Business account despite the fact that I had all of the required paperwork, was a frustrating disappointment. Abid was condescending to women and I would say disrespectful. AND, when I pointed out his indignant behavior, he walked away from me and intentionally made me wait! Ladies, don't we recognize this passive aggressive punishment for speaking our minds? Women, AVOID that bank if you can. Who needs the added irritation. We should be treated fairly and with the same care and consideration as men. When I complained to the manager she basically didn't care and did nothing. I have really grown to love this location. For one parking is excellent. Then for two the tellers are very friendly and there's hardly ever a line. Yesterday I went in to make a deposit ($2100 cash and a check). I accidentally wrote $2000 on my deposit statement (this was purely out of habit because my deposits are normally $2000 in cash....). My cash was run through the automatic cash counting machine, it was not turned towards me to see the total nor did the teller recount my money in front of me. When I realized my mistake and yes, I realize this is my fault I called the bank and spoke to a manager. She said that the teller balanced his drawer and was not over. I also mentioned that my printed receipt said "loose currency $100" I was told this is the quantity of bills that was deposited. It in fact was not because I had 100's, 50's and 20's, my deposit was under 100 bills. I went back to the branch this morning and spoke again to the manager and showed her my receipt. And again explained the situation. I was told nothing can be done because the teller balanced. I asked about the automatic counter and if it prints receipts. She first said that the printer was not working then stopped and said well other tellers use that machine as well. I asked about the cameras that are pointed at the windows she said it would not be able to show what the amount was on the machine. In regards to my receipt with the $100 loose currency I was told that was a printing error...convenient. That error needs to be fixed because it looks like there was a $100 that was not accounted for nor was it handed back to me!!! I guess I should have asked to speak to someone above her but I was just too upset. $100 may not be a lot to this branch but it is to me. COUNT and RECOUNT your money before making any deposit at this branch. I should have been more careful.....but I am 100% positive that I deposited $2100. read more

This is a great bank with great leadership. I live in Sherman Oaks and have plenty of other Wells Fargo locations that are closer to me but continue to frequent this location because of teller mananger Jonathan Gillespie and his team of tellers. They work amazingly as a team, no matter who I go to. Assistant managers Stephanie and Jennifer are just as great as they are very much a part of the reason I continue to choose this location. I pretty much have to list all the tellers ( Alla, May, Anthony, Eden, Esmeralda, Yovanna, Rose, please excuse if I have missdd anyone) because they all do a fantastic job. Other branches I have gone to I would have favorites because the customer service would differ per bank teller. Not this branch. They are all my favorite and they truly come together as a team to help me with my specific business needs. They save me so much time by going the extra mile for me. Not just a customer walking in. So many bankers sound fake and unnatural. Not Wells Fargo. Mo and Adrian are amazing mangers who are always patient and understanding. Offering financial advice and guidance without any judgements. Parking and hours are great as well. Managers do their best to be sure you don't wait in line. I reached out to several WF locations, and not only was he one of the few people who actually answered the phone, but he provided an immediate solution to my issue. And even though I live over and down the hill in the Miracle Mile area, I will be sure that any future in person banking I do, will only be with Omar at the Studio City location. I will not go into the ugly details of how others did not help and how I was appalled that more WF locations did not offer any viable solutions in light of the pandemic, since I am celebrating a simply act of professional and person touch.
