If I could rate this bank a zero I would. By far the worst bank in the history of banks. We wait no less than 20 minutes in line. 5 employees and only 1 helping customers. The manager... the loud red head gentleman... swear dudes on something. High strung but watches as his one employee struggles to help all 7 people standing in line and does absolutely nothing to help. The girl looked so overwhelmed and stressed. A real manager would hop behind the counter and help bust out some customers. Why? Your employees are going to be burned out, frustrated and won't last long. To the manager: step your game up bro. We see you. You're running this location into the ground. To Wells Fargo- shut this branch down already. We have two business accounts and two personal accounts and we're closing them on Monday. They used to be open until 6pm. How is someone who works until 5pm supposed to go into the bank? Their savings rates are way behind the current upward trend. New tellers every month. They don't give them enough hours so they quit. read more

Extremely poor handling of Covid 19 Payment Protection application submissions communicating back with consumers whether or not their application has been processed on their end. Customer service is not informed with no other service reps to look into application status. Very poor handling by a major institution - yet again failure of executive leadership leaving small business consumers like myself vulnerable. I will take my business to a smaller, regional bank/institution going forward. read more

NO STARS :::::: Went to get a Document Notarized at 11:00 am and was told the Notary was about to Take A 10 minute break when we returned in 15 minutes we were told that the Notary went to lunch, personally i think she needs to skip alot of meals he said she will be back at 12:30 . She Returned at 12:42 and Approached us and Asked us what we needed Notarized after explaining to us for 10 minutes that she didn't want to notarize our paperwork she then said she had A 12:45 appointment and that we would have to Wait it's 1:04pm now.... The only reason I'm giving this location 2 stars is that the service I've always gotten by the staff there has been good. But, seriously, this location lacks basic bank services. No drive through ATM - in an area of very cold weather this is ridiculous. No Notary Public - this has been offered at the other locations I've used. Seems one of the staff could get this done. And, really? No coin counter? At a bank? Thanks for the free coin rolls, but my time is better spent doing other things than counting and rolling coins when my bank should be able to do this for me. Again - another missing service that I've had at every other bank I've ever used. Get with the program, Truckee Wells...just because we're a small town doesn't mean you should lack basic bank services. read more

My local branch closed a month ago, so this review is about my last experience with WF. Called to end unauthorized recurring payment from Amazon. I'll condense the rest of the 44 min convo. "Nope. We can't do it. I've been a customer for 22 years I'd like to put a stop/hold on my account. I understand sir and thank you so much for your patience unfortunately some payments may be unable to be stopped. Why? You're the bank. Stop payments on my account. I understand your frustration sir. Fine, I've received fraudulent activity on my account and my card was stolen. You must come into a branch to close your account. I drive 35 miles to nearest open branch. Sir I can't close your account You'll have to schedule appt. I point to obvious manager. Is that the manager. Yes. Can I talk to her? 20 min later I close 3 accounts I've had longer than any employee there has been alive and go to the cashier with the cashier's check the manager issued me 60 seconds and 15ft away. I give her my passport (transparency I lost my wallet) and she asks me for a second form of ID: So I can tell you an out of state library card, a $5 voucher from a hardware store, and a gift certificate for a massage constitute fraud protection at Wells Fargo, but your passport by itself will not allow you access to your funds. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. Tons of workers chit chatting away in financial services with no back up for busy times at the teller stations. Why they even have a "merchant" window is beyond me since it is rarely open. I just don't usually have 30 minutes to stand around in a bank for my work related purposes. & my guess is no one else wants to either. This is such a terrible branch, avoid it at all costs! I opened 2 accounts with WF. The first time was a nightmare b/c my 'branch' location was inside a Safeway in Zephyr Cove. The employees were friendly, but the practices of the bank were screwy. Cutoff times for deposits were early, meaning that you could deposit CASH after the cutoff time and your account wouldn't credit immediately. That's BS, WF. My 2nd experience began only because I needed a foreign currency exchange that their Reno location had. My 2nd experience ended because they recently decided to charge me and all their other customers monthly fees AND their tellers' customer service in the Truckee location is lackluster. Guess what WF, you aren't the only game in town and there's NO reason to charge fees when there are barely any transactions and I'm simply leaving $$$$$$$$$ sitting in your pocket. Regarding teller service, I waited in line to make a deposit. When I reached the teller (a high schooler), in addition to my deposit, I wanted another transaction made to which she replied that I could do that next at the ATM. My reply was NO, you can do it right here and now, which she did. You simply shouldn't have to ask twice, nor ever be told to visit a machine to handle something the teller COULD do when asked. When closing my account, I mentioned the reason I was closing was due to new fee structure. The acct. rep. seemed accustomed to hearing this comment. Apparently, many customers closing their accounts to go elsewhere doesn't concern this bank or their bankers. Accounts all closed before new fee structure implemented! Plenty of other no fee banks to put my money into. Bye bye! read more

I applied and was approved for a checking account online on Monday. I assumed it would expedite the process as I work business hours and don't have time to set up an account in the branch. On Tuesday, I made an apt with a banker, Clint. On Wednesday, he called and left a voicemail to confirm our appointment for Thursday @ noon. I called back Thursday morning and was advised by Ilona that he was sick today, she rescheduled my apt to noon with Chelsea. When I walked in the branch, I was greeted by Ilona and she let me know I would be helped shortly. I waited until 12:15 and Chelsea was still busy, I was on my lunch so I went to Ilona and she ended up helping me. She called me shortly after and I let me that I needed to make a deposit in order for the ACH funds that I initially requested on Monday to show up in my account. After work I went to the bank and made a deposit and the funds that had already left my other bank account still didn't show up. She didn't know why so I requested to speak with her manager, Michelle, who told me it may take a few more days even though I opened my account on Monday. She also told me she would follow up with me this morning and she hasn't. This is the worst way possible to start a banking relationship. All I want is the funds I transferred on Monday to be in my account and I want a straightforward answers from the employees here. I feel like I'm getting the run around and don't appreciate it. On Friday morning, the branch manager, Michelle, never followed up with me as promised. I called Ilona on Saturday morning and the funds still weren't available in my account and she also told me to call online customer service after she kept on interrupting me the whole 5 minutes I spent on the phone. She is extremely unprofessional! I plan on closing my account once the funds are in my account and going to US Bank or Bank of America. read more

I love this bank. It's so nice to interact with actual professionals rather than trying to figure things out on my own with a machine; personal service goes a long way. I also travel out of the U.S. extensively and they are the only bank in town who offers foreign currency. read more

I had a great experience today with two of the employees today. One was Jon who helped me set up a bank account for my son, he was super helpful and courteous. The other employee was sara , she helped me count the massive amount of coins I brought in for my daughters account. She was very patient with me and also super helpful. read more
