Bennet park which is attached to Meckauer Park is always filled with geese poop or dog poop or poop of some sorts, but Meckauer Park by comparison has everything. A dog park/pen of sorts, a basket ball court, a toddler play ground and a children's play ground, and a walker's loop that is half a mile a loop. There are all kinds of people enjoying their evening exercises and sometimes there is even a group holding a birthday party of sorts or a catered event. It's endearing that a tiny park this size does and serves so many people and provides activities for them! That's why I really appreciate this park.

It also borders five towns: Danbury, New Milford, Brookfield, Sherman,and New Fairfield. This is a very popular place for all kinds of water sports, and bass and trout fishing. There are two state boat launches and many marinas for docking. The shoreline has so many magnificent homes, and don't be surprised if you see a seaplane landing or taking off on the lake. This lake usually gets very busy on the weekends in the summer.

Launch at Lattin's Cove was solid jammed and the number of rude idiots just simply ASTOUNDING. No courtesy for other boaters/pwc's whatsoever. Couple of morons were camped out on the dock and screwed up everyone else's put in/take out routine. No surprise to see the NJ and NY registrations on their PWCs. While coming back in, 3 idiots on PWC's came screaming past us in the no wake zone to "beat" us to the ramp, then they sat there blocking one side of the launch. One fellow asked nicely if they could move over just a bit so he could launch his pwc and he got snapped at by one of the tattoo queens... "we're leaving in a couple of minutes". Definitely will not go back here on a weekend anytime soon. Very sad because it never used to be like this.

The Maybrook Trailway should honestly be given the whole name from this point until New Paltz as it completes the connection. The trail runs aside a train track for which was once used for the Maybrook Line and Beacon Line for you history geeks like me. We started from the Hopewell end and walked for a couple of miles until we tire out. Two other times, we started another point in Stormville and walked west for about 2 miles. I know pretty much the whole line including the scenery along the way, it's quiet, and not a lot of action to be seen around. For those who enjoy peace and quiet, here you go. From what I've seen on the map, there are limited parking spaces for each trail spot at crossings. I'm hoping something would be addressed about that and even with bathrooms. There's more to explore on this trail.

The trail is not accessible for a 3-mile stretch. From Green Haven and then Eastbound is impossible…read moreto pass. Trees have fallen down virtually every 50 yards blocking passage. I carried my bike past about 6 trees and each time I saw another tree blocking the trail. I came across a clean up crew that told me the downed trees went all the way to Green Haven. I was 3 miles east of Green Haven when the mess started. There is also debris along the entire section which I was fortunate not to get a flat tire. The cleaning crew told me they have only 4 people and they will try to hire a contractor to clear the trees. There is no way a crew of 4 people could handle this. They're easy to walk and follow, with some viewpoints. However, due to the many leaves, most views aren't the greatest. Even though that's the case, it's still worth checking out the trail. Many other alternatives exist, including basketball, baseball, tennis, a playground, and the Tea House lodge, which the park recreation can be reached out to for events. I'm thrilled with the options offered. For the community and beyond, this is a beautiful park to visit.

This little park is a Mt Kisco resident location but we were somehow able to sneak in without a problem. There's plenty of benches, picnic tables, a pond with a pretty fountain, basketball courts, baseball fields, walking trails, you have it all! They even have wood available for fire pits. Dogs are welcome on a leash! It's an easy little park to get some nature time and fresh air in. A park for inspiration

I…read morepersonally found the upkeep to appear well in tact and I even saw gardeners attending to the lawns so clearly they keep eyes on upkeep which is particularly important when you have a special event planned. I had the pleasure of attending a wedding as a bridesmaid. The space was beautiful and spacious. The china on the lower level in casing was beautiful and the colors chosen have a very old home comfort feel. Takes you back a bit to another time. Lighting for images is great here and there is a handicap parking close to the ramps which make entry and exits very easy. They offer recycling and trash in their kitchen. The staff on site was very informative and kind. Overall, a very pleasant experience. The videos and photos we took look beautiful!!! I'd like to personally thank Tarrywile for everything!!
