Quality of care was good, with specific call out the the testing technician who was wonderful. I happened to like Dr. Diamond and his direct, no-nonsense approach. If I can give this place a no star I would...I have been waiting for a refund from this doctor and his facility for months. They have given me the run around for 4 months now for my repayment of my deductible in which they told me would be for them. Now I owe the hospital what was supposed to be my deductible that I paid them. I am very disappointed in the customer care and service they provide. Update. I have received my refund and now we are settled. It took awhile and I'm not a fan of the prepayment process. Can't say I enjoyed the run arounds, but I'm glad it's settled. read more

I had septoplasty surgery just over a week ago to correct my deviated septum. I'm a 31 year old male who has suffered from general breathing issues (I've been a mouth breather my entire life), regular sinus infections and pretty horrendous snoring (well, others have suffered more here...) - with my nose being a big point of conversation. After years of back and forth treating the symptoms of my breathing problems with antibiotics, nasal sprays and a fortune in over the counter temporary remedies - I finally visited Dr. Andrew Diamond and the great people at Northside Ear Nose and Throat. Dr. Diamond looked me over, and gave me great insight into the problems I was having - as well as fully explained my options, both medically and surgically. The staff were very helpful in assisting me with coordinating my insurance coverage and making sure everything we needed to have a clear diagnosis (including their onsite MRI - How convenient!) and prepping for surgery. I'm 8 days out of the surgery and feeling incredible! I'm breathing really well, and sleeping restfully without snoring. I've woken up almost the entire week before my alarm, and feeling great! As an added bonus, without the blockage and nightly drainage caused by my nose issues, I've had no acid reflux all week! Even with the minor discomfort and general grossness that is involved in a surgery like this - I was back to work and beginning to feel significant differences in two days. Dr. Andrew Diamond and his team are great, and I've already recommended them to a few people. If you're looking for an ENT in the North Fulton area - Geppetto is the only nose guy who might be able to compare. read more

This is a review for Dr. Chacko, specifically. Two times in the last year I have broken out in severe hives, and two times I have been able to make an appointment with Dr. Chacko almost immediately. I called other allergists in the metro area both times and was looking at a wait of a week or longer before somebody could see me, but Dr. Chacko had availability both times. Unfortunately I had to cancel my appointment with him the first time, but his office could not have been more understanding under the circumstances. After breaking out in hives again six months later, I finally had the opportunity to meet Dr. Chacko, and I could not have been more pleased with the experience (though it sure sucks to have severe hives). The office staff was pleasant, the office itself was modern and clean, everything ran relatively on time, and Dr. Chacko was wonderful to work with. He listened to me, wasn't dismissive of my concerns, and offered sound advice and solutions to my problem. I've seen enough doctors both for myself and for my son to know when I've found a good one. This one is a keeper. If you or a loved one are suffering from an allergic reaction, I highly recommend making an appointment with Dr. Chacko. read more

So far, it seems like your just a number to these people. I have a minor surgery that "I'm" supposed to schedule with the surgery coordinator. A little odd that a patient is in charge of that, would be great to actually do that if the coordinator would ever answer or call back. Very unprofessional place. read more

VERY UPSET with ENT located at 1360 Upper Hembree Road, Roswell, GA. I had a appointment on 6/3/20 for a check up of my throat. Dr. Jackson took very little time to diagnose me with Acid Reflux. However, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Despite following his recommendations, my conditions did not improve so I went to a doctor at a local clinic where they provided a Strep Throat Test and blood test to CONFIRM that my condition was caused by a Strep Throat! I called to speak to someone at the Roswell location only for Ms. Cindy Doty to become very RUDE when she realized I called with a complaint. Was told by Ms. Doty that they do not provide Strep Throat Tests which was SHOCKING because ENT is literally Ear Nose THROAT and strep THROAT is a THROAT condition. Dr. Jackson should have informed me that they do not provide strep throat tests during my appointment and not rush to a misdiagnosis! I have yet to receive a call back. I need to be reimbursed for the $175 charge for the improper diagnosis. Contact me IMMEDIATELY. read more

Pardon this long post, though I think it is necessary to give a detailed report so others don't make the same mistake I did by coming to this office. I went in for an allergy skin test. First, I explained to Dr. Chacko the skin problems I've been having and how I'd like to take the allergy skin test to see if I can cut out any foods that might be upsetting my skin. He was nice enough, though didn't seem too invested or concerned. He left then the first nurse came in. She promptly told me to take off my shirt and gave me a robe to put on then left the room. I expected some sort of standard explanation, but I guess they don't do that here. Then another nurse comes in, still explaining nothing about the procedure, and said to me, "Oh, by the way, did they tell you how much this is going to be?" I said no. And she said it'll be $400. A bit surprised, I asked if I could set up some sort of payment plan and she contemptuously said, "No, we need you to pay it all today." I didn't think that was a nurse's/ tech's call to make, but she took it upon herself to answer in a rude and impatient manner. She then proceeded to stab me in the back with the little picks for the skin test, still not explaining how the process actually works or how many picks she'd be jabbing in my back (I had to ask her). Every question I asked seemed to annoy her, because I had a few questions since nothing had been explained to me. After the procedure he revealed that I wasn't allergic to anything (thankfully) and sent me on my way. When I finally left the room, I met the billing associate and she told me also that I would owe only $400, nothing else. So I just paid it, even though it was a lot for me to pay off at once (I'm a recent college grad), because I never wanted to come in contact with this office ever again. So a month or so later I receive a bill from this office, the one that said I owed only $400, of $307! I called their billing office and they hung up on me. I then called the central office and spoke with a very nice woman and told her I needed to speak with a manager. She said the manager was out of the office, so I explained the situation to her. She said she would leave a message and email with the manager and they would get back with me within the week. I give them a call back ten days later because I still haven't heard anything from this manager. The same woman I spoke with before said that she didn't know what the manager was doing about the claim, that I couldn't talk directly to her (because this time she was in a meeting), and she also couldn't give me a number for corporate office. Quite frankly, I can't believe the way this situation has been dealt with. So if you want to feel exploited, insulted, and brushed aside, go to this office! I see Dr. Katie Kahlert, an audiologist there for programming of my cochlear implants. She does an excellent job, taking the time to ensure each tone is working well so my sound quality is so much better than when I see other audiologist who care only that I can hear sound. read more

I had an appointment with Dr. Diamond. Never made it past the front desk. My appointment was a 1:30. I had filled out the information from their website, only to find out that today was their first day under Wellstar. I then had to fill out the new forms. At 2:10, I asked when I would be seen since my appointment was at 1:30. I was told that as soon as they got my information into the system they would be calling me back. She had not even started putting my info in, 40 mins later. If you want a doctor's group where your time matters, I would not suggest this group. There were probably 10 people mulling around the front desk, but no one really knew what they were suppose to do. I also had a HORRIBLE experience with Dr. Diamond!! He spent 5 minutes with me and said it was not inner ear. After another hospital visit and seeing a neurologist and going to another ENT, I AM dealing with inner ear issues. He did no tests other than a hearing test and made a decision based only on that information. I have wasted alot of my time and money!! He also like the previous reviewer seemed like he was there just to collect my money. I'm not sure about the other doctors but don't waste your time with him!!! read more

I went in because I'd started snoring and wanted to see what could be done. The doctor's "expert" advice was "you should sleep on your side from now on. And then a year later I find that these clowns are trying to collect $150 from me that was over and above what insurance covered. God only know what insurance actually covered, but even that $150 for such ridiculous advice is too much. Don't bother with these people. read more

The worst medical office I have ever been to. Unbelievable wait times for the appointment. Then the doctor who was very nice seemed rushed to get us in and out as fast as possible. I had a billing question and could not get a live person on the phone . You have to schedule an appointment for a call back ...,, I'm still waiting. Good Doctor but awful office management . Stay away! This place is a scam! I made an appointment with an ENT as I was having a problem with an ear block after air travel. I arrived at the office and met by Thomas who said he would perform a hearing test. I told him there was a misunderstanding, I wasn't here for a hearing test, only to see the dr about my ear block. He said it is part of every exam. He determined I had some hearing loss, although didn't explain much of the results. I then saw the dr. for my ear block. Then I was led to a room for hearing aids. The technician put a pair of hearing aids on me. I asked how much they cost (asked twice, as she didn't answer me the first time). She said $6,000! I said I would never be a consumer of $6,000 hearing aids. She said to try them as the "other" hearing aids for trial are all out for trial. I brought them back in one week, only minimal benefit. She said she could "adjust" them for me. Again, I told her I wasn't a candidate for $6,000 hearing aids and handed them back to her. Two months later I received a bill for $400, which included a $66 charge for handing the box of hearing aids back to the technician. I have reported this group to BCBS so hopefully no one else is scammed by this group. I wish I had checked Yelp reviews on Wellstar before going there - would have saved myself a lot of time/money. read more

The great people at nothside correctly diagnosed my breathing problems. I had been to several ENTs who looked at my nose and diagnosed me with a deviated septum. Dr. Chacko took a cat scan of my nose and showed me how I did NOT have a deviated septum but rather a minor issue that could be fixed with some medication. For the past 20 years I advoided trying to fix the issue, as I was told that I needed surgery. No one likes surgery. The last nose surgery I had was a utter failure. Dr. Chacko showed me the cat scan and explained the issue and made it as clear as day. I wish I had met someone as good as him 20 years ago. I wouldn't be on the brink of a snoring divorce. Also, he made sure that his dignosis was correct by getting the opinions of two other ENTs in his practice. A doctor who seeks the opinion of other good doctors. How often does that happen? read more

We love Dr. Chacko and Dr. Jackson. They are both excellent doctors who provide excellent care. However, the back office operations at Northside ENT are terrible. The practice in place for surgery is to charge the patient's Visa card for the deductible portion of insurance prior to the pre-op appointment. $1072 was charged to my card 2 days before my son's sinus surgery pre-operative appointment. At the pre-op appointment, Dr. Jackson determined that my son did not need surgery. That was great news. On that date, 11/25, I was told that a credit would be issued to my Visa. As of today, 12/16, no credit has been issued. I have spoken to Michelle Johnson several times in their refunds office and while Michelle has been very nice and extremely courteous, she has been unable to get my credit issued. She explained that their medical practice is owned by a large corporation and that there are many levels of approvals which must occur before a credit can be issued. I certainly understand the need for corporate controls, but three weeks is an excessive amount of time. I have disputed the charge with my credit card company satisfactorily and while I know that this will ultimately be resolved, I am very concerned about Northside ENT's ability to issue credits to patients in an efficient and timely manner. I also believe that their practice of collecting money prior to the pre-op appointment is injurious to patients. Patients should beware before handing over a credit card. read more

I went to see Dr. Diamond who was pleasant, as was the front desk receptionist. My issue was concern about hearing loss so I then saw an audiologist, Thomas G. He performed extensive tests and determined I did need hearing aids. I asked at that point about insurance coverage. He said "we'll check into that." I had two more appointments, each time asking about insurance and each time being told "we'll check into that." I got the hearing aids and had them for a 2 week trial (now 5 weeks into the process). I received an email right before Thanksgiving from Cindy stating she wanted to make sure I knew that insurance would not cover anything. I had not been notified by anyone from Wellstar. I went in today to return the hearing aids since I can't afford them. Thomas' only suggestion was to sell me a cheaper device. He didn't apologize or seem at all bothered by the fact that I have to start over - in fact he shrugged his shoulders when I said I was disappointed in their process. The goal of this facility seems to be to SELL you hearing aids. They of course start with the most expensive. I learned my lesson and will get a second opinion and research the insurance coverage myself. I do not recommend this facility. read more
