I've been to a lot of Senior Centers and this one is by far one of the better ones! They have so much going on inside from coffee, breakfast, and lunch everyday, to all ages dancing nights...among many other events that creates a beautiful comradery amongst the members. As a younger man, I enjoy my time hanging with the seniors because I just love listening to their stories about life and the jokes they share with one another to keep the spirits up. If you're thinking about joining it's incredibly affordable too, only $35/year for an individual & $55/couple I purposely left out many other great activities & events they have going on with the hopes you'll join us for coffee one morning and then you can find everything out for yourself :) read more

Specialties

Our senior activity center is an independently owned and operated nonprofit. Unlike most senior centers, we are not operated by local government or parks and recreation. We provide programs and activities to keep the 50+ community active and engaged. We are also actively developing multigenerational activities and technology literacy programs for seniors. In addition, we offer a lunch program, four days a week (Tuesday through Friday), to provide affordable, hot meals to the community. Lunch is $5 per person for members and $10 for nonmembers. All ages are welcome and lunch is open to the public with a reservation one day prior to attending.

History

Established in 1980.

The Wenatchee Senior Center was originally located in downtown Wenatchee. We bought our current property and built our new facility to grow with the Wenatchee Valley. The new location opened in 1992. Since that time, we have grown to over 2,000 members and project steady growth as our valley continues to grow.

Meet the Manager: Lisa B.

I am the new executive director of the senior center, having taken the reins in July 2024 from Dave Tosch, our previous director since 2013. I was born and raised in Wenatchee and graduated from high school there. I'm excited to bring my many years of experience in the medical and tourism fields to the senior center and look forward to serving our 50+ community.
