Got us checked in quickly . Room is nice and comfortable. Ate dinner at the Mexican restaurant inside the casino. Played the slot machines for several hours. Floor staff were also very nice. By contrast.... Roberto at the bar closest to the service and front desk was horrible. Couldn't get my player card to work while trying to play a poker machine and he continued to harass us after we ordered a beer. We had played several hours and had no problems on the floor with the 2 beers we had. He continued to hover and continually asks" are you gonna play , buddy?" Over and over. We were playing but had a glitch with the card not reading my loaded $ on the player card. Asked what the deal was.... we're trying to get the card to work. He said" they are watching" you need to be playing to have a beer. True and also we were playing. Just having a card issue. Finally just told him to take the beer back and went to the front desk to get a new card. Didn't come to be harassed and treated rudely by the bartender. We are paying for a room, ate dinner at the restaurant, playing the slots all day and he was very out of line. Don't go to the bar where Roberto works!

I told her I was headed to the roulette table and she said that was ok then. 30 minutes later she showed up and asked if I wanted a drink. I reminded her I already gave her 10.00 for one and she denied it. I said you don't remember standing just 10 feet from here you don't remember. At that time another gal showed up conveniently and asked if she could help. I told her the story and she immediately took the cocktail waitresses side and said they have cameras to look at if needed. I asked to look at it then and showed her the spot she took my money and the time. She then asked me to leave the casino. It was only 10 bucks but it was the principal. If people are going through hard times you don't need to steel from others. There was 8 of us from Montana that stayed down there for a week for the first time and will be the last time. My advice definitely get your drink first like they normally would do.

We asked a man with a badge who worked there to help guide us and he was rude. When we asked for directions to one of the restaurants the girl at the front desk neglected to tell us that the restaurant was closed that night. Another girl at the desk inserted herself into the situation and was rude and raised her voice at us. Both rooms my family stayed in had air conditioners that were incredulous when they kicked on. Thank goodness I never have to return to Wendover again.

This last trip was the absolute worst in the hotel. First, I called down to the Pit to get a room as I always do, and found out that all comps are handled differently than in the past. Although I haven't played a lot since COVID, my play in the past was appreciated and they always took care of me. I would have expected them to want that level of play back, but oh well. When we arrived to check-in at 8:00pm, we stood there waiting for almost 30 minutes for the 4 people helping 2 guests! Was a joke, but got checked in. The room we got had walls so thin you could seriously hear the guests whispering in bed through the walls. We asked to move but they said the hotel was sold out. We gambled for a while and ended up making a few hundred dollars. Even though the casino was packed, dance floor was full, and plenty of people giving this casino lots of money, it took almost 25 minutes to cash in chips from blackjack at the cage!!! One window girl dealing with a guy trying to get money out of numerous over drawn credit cards and her manager standing behind her doing nothing while a long line formed! Are you kidding me??? On a busy Saturday night, this is how you treat people trying to get their money back? We then decided to rest and gamble the next day. Off to the room... We now noticed that the bed did not have any blankets on it and only 2 very thin pillows. We called down and they said nobody was available to run them up to us and that we would have to come down. This was just past 2:00am and we were already laying down. How is there NO STAFF to do anything??? I went down to get the blankets and pillows. When I arrived they found two thin blankets but explained that they just gave away their last pillows! I asked the girl for a late checkout and she at least was pleasant and gave me till noon. We put the do not disturb sign on the door and went to bed. Guess what? Knock on the door at 8:00am!!! I called down and talked to Nick who confirmed that he saw the "Late Checkout" notes on my account but offered no apology. I wanted to talk to the manager, he placed me on a very long hold and I hung up and called back. He then said it wasn't him, but I could tell it was him. Then he said that him manager, Tammy, was in an hour long meeting and could be disturbed. He said he would talk to house keeping. An hour and a half later, knock knock, house keeping!!! At this point I'm mad and really want to talk to Tammy. Guess what?? Yup, still in that hour meeting apparently!!! This is the WORST run hotel I have ever been in. I can get past the out dated room, the thin walls, the lack of basic linens, etc. but the complete lack of any qualified staff, complete disregard for guests, and the lack of any hospitality is absolutely unacceptable for a hotel that supports this no longer shining nugget of a washed up has been casino! Unfortunately, it's time to go to another casino and not run by this same management team!!!! Slight Update: Tammy was able to talk with me and my wife before we left and offered us a room voucher for a "bounce back" between now and when it expires in May and assured us that she was going to address as much as she could. None of the plugs work, tried the one in the bedroom space, the one next to the hairdryer, also the one in the bedside lamp. Phone had no way to call the front desk, housekeeping, anyone except for to call other rooms at the hotel or call out. No fridge, very poor lighting, no swing bar latch for the door, tv remote didn't work, no way to set the temperature, just fan high, low, off settings. Cool or hot on a slide tab. The list could go on. I'm hoping they are going to be doing full renovations on these rooms soon, not worth the price they charge for something so run down.

Stayed only one night, if it had been more we would have left for another place…read more The guy at the front desk maybe spoke two to three words to us on check inn. the check in area is so old and worn down, it needs some serious TLC. when we went to our room we were a bit stunned, the room was fairly clean, but I refused to walk in my bare feet. the vanity light would only work if the bathroom light was on, and the light switch isn't even all the way onto the wall. The bathroom itself was pretty gross, chunks of the wall were gone, the tile floor was disgusting mess. mold around the tub near the floor. I'm pretty sure someone tried to clean this room but its so old it's a bit hard to. there were candy wrappers under the bed, the carpet used for a baseboard was coming off the wall. There was floss in the drain, left it there as I didn't have gloves to try to take it out. Overall, I would never, ever stay here again or recommend this flop motel To my worst enemy. Luckily we live about 2.5 hours away from home so there was no way i was going to shower in there, I'd be afraid the rub may fall through the floor. This place either gets an entire new everything, or it should be bulldozed along with everything thing in it. The one and only thing we found is it is quiet, and the TV was top notched. Save yourself the headache and cash and go somewhere else.

This hotel, The Best Western Plus, is not my usual hotel chain we stay at for travel, but there weren't any Holiday Inn Expresses in town, so I just picked this place as some place sort of similar with, you know free breakfast and clean rooms and a level above Motel 6 or something. Checking in was no problem, all credit cards taken and the staff was friendly. My crew seemed happy not to have to travel any more. We lugged all out stuff in and got to our rooms just fine. My room was clean and the first thing I do is try to log onto the WIFI. It works fine and speed is OK to get my work done. The bathroom was nice and the hot water had good pressure, cause I could use a long hot shower right about now. My little water tank at home just runs out too fast! Everyone else said the rooms were fine. Breakfast was on level with most free hotel breakfasts. Coffee was hot and the food was too. It's nice to have a little change in breakfast choice from our usual Holiday Inn Express. Tomorrow is back on the road to Salt Lake. At least the speed limit is 80mph!

After reading the reviews I was really concerned about staying there. Upon my arrival I was greeted at the front desk by a friendly man who quickly checked me in. My first impression of the room was that it was outdated and needed some serious updating and maybe even a few repairs. The fixtures we all solid and even though they were outdated and clearly out of style I found everything functional. Even the retro bedding was clean and mattress was reasonably comfortable. The shower was great and after a full day out on the salt and in the sun it was the best part of my stay! I have definitely stayed in motels that were worse than this! For the price I felt that it was a decent value. It seems that there are some long term residents in other rooms. I never noticed any noise out of the normal. Sadly the pool is permanently out of commission. That would have been great to take a dip in the evenings. The Bonneville Motel met all my needs for a place to stay during Speed Week and compared to some of the other prices during that week it was a great value. Don't expect a resort. Don't expect luxury. It's an old place that could use some updating but got the job done for me.
