I went there at 1730 (dinner time) to order a large chilli. I was told they are out of chilli. When I questioned the cashier, she said they were cooking it. I asked when will it be done, she said an hour. To me thats completely unacceptable!! When they saw they were running low..START A NEW BATCH!!! I then left and when I got home, I called and asked for the manager. April answered and told me she was the manager. When I complained, SHE HUNG UP ON ME! After a long hike at White Sands National Park stopped at Wendy's for burgers, chicken nuggets, small chili's and large fries. Delicious fresh burgers hit the spot! Stopped here twice for protein refuel. Food was superb, fast and fresh! Very clean restaurant, friendly servers, clean restroom with warm water for handwashing. Thank you for the clean restroom it is very appreciated. This is the one of the best Wendy's that we have dined at after being hangry! Thank You!!! read more

OMGAAA just tried Wendy's breakfast Baconator with a chocolate Frosty-ccino AMAZING!! It was so good I went back and tried the Vanilla Frosty-ccino and it was even better. Also love that they crack their eggs fresh to order so pre-packaged eggs here. Definitely will become my preferred fast food breakfast. Well done Wendy's - well done! read more

Everyone who travels on 54 going north knows there is a huge stretch with NOTHING! My family and I were heading south coming home from a road trip and we're so hungry. We had to wait three more hours to get to Alamogordo. The 5 of us agreed on Wendy's even though we were thinking it wasn't going to be good especially being after 9:30pm. To all of our surprise it was AMAZING! The food was hot, fresh and everything in our order was correct. They even gave us lots of ketchup and ranch. Wendy's is the same almost everywhere you go... I'll admit I went super late and night so it's probably why my fries were inedible... but the food is always the same. I went through the drive thru so I can't say how the inside of the store was, but the people working were super nice and my burger was good. Very meh. I don't do fast food chain reviews, and yet I feel compelled to in this instance. Service here was super slow. Slowing things even more, customers were returning to the counter with their messed up orders (I checked mine at the counter, yes it was messed up). There where dirty tables 'o plenty with oily smudges, lettuce, stray fries and other detritus around, yet the vast array of bright young faces were all behind the counter. Puzzling evidence... The new burger they've been hyping, 'the W', was also very meh. All I could taste was salt, grease and large amounts of iceberg lettuce; I guess this accounts for so much of it being left on the surrounding tables. With so many other stellar burger options in town, not to mention Hi-D-Ho across the street, why settle for meh? Across the street the wait would have been the same, the cost about the same and the order would have had a much greater probability of being correct. Oh, and it would have tasted amazing. If you want to support the local economy, try Blake's Lotaburger or the Airport Grille. I'm sure you'd be much happier. Two stars because I've been spoiled by all the great local joints, before I knew about them this might have even been OK. They got every part of my order wrong and when I drove back to have them correct it, they were closed even though Google and the website says they close at 1. It was midnight when I went back. Heavily heavily suggest checking your bag before you drive away. I'm staying at a hotel in town so I have no access to silverware or condiments or anything like that. They put everything on my sandwich when I asked for it without a few items. They gave me a baked potato with a tiny amount of cheese and no sour cream or fork. My drink was wrong and my boyfriend's drink was the wrong size. His chicken nuggets got no dipping sauce even though I asked for some. The customer service was awful!!! The girl Tanya in the drive thru was so disrespectful to me. She had a nasty attitude and talked down to me when I asked for dressing. I never got my receipt and on top of that the guy in the back was screaming and yelling like an Idiot. After a long day that's not what you want to deal with. I've always enjoyed Wendy's but last night I went through the drive through to pick up dinner. this young girl, seems to be in high school was giving me my change. I had about 9 dollars and some change she dropped all of my coins while handing it to me. She Just stood there and looked at me. Didn't say a word. We haven't eaten here in about three years. So the place has undergone a much needed remodeling and it looked nice, and the commercials say it's all good, and now they've moved to # 2 above BK. I don't know if it's just this Wendy's or what, but we wished we'd gone to BK. The cashier was the nicest we've encountered in this Wendy's, the side salad was all right. The Jr. cheeseburger's weren't as good as they were 3 years ago. The fries were lukewarm and limp. I complained about an obvious bad burger 3 years ago, nothing happened, all I got was "sorry". Absolutely do not go here. We waited for over 45 minutes for our order, others who ordered after us were already finishing up their meal while our partial order sat on the counter for over 15 minutes for the nuggets and fries to get done. Finally asked for our money back as I was not going to allow my granddaughter to get sick from eating her cold meal. The manager refunded us and offered to personally make us another meal, and take our name for a future meal, but we didn't want to wait an additional 20 or so minutes. I haven't eaten at Wendy's since I worked there in my younger days, but was upset at management for calling to set interview with my daughter who is in school and asked if she could come in at 4 to do interview which general manager says my daughter was scheduled at 10:30 this morning. I got a Yelp account just to comment on Wendy's horrible customer service. Because I'm used to Wendy's getting my order wrong, my routine is to grab my food at the window, then pull up to check my bag in order to be courteous to the people waiting in the drive-through behind me, then if something is wrong, I will park, go inside, and have them correct my order there. The other night, after waiting an unusually long time in the drive through line, I did this and realized they had not given me the dressing for my salad. I parked my car and went up to the door to find it locked because they were closed with only the drive-through open. There was a girl mopping about 3 feet from the door and she saw me but proceeded to ignore me. I knocked on the glass and she walked away to go behind the counter, clearly frustrated. She talked to another employee, who also looked over at me, and then came back and continued mopping, still ignoring me. I knocked on the glass again and she shouted at me in a very rude manner to go through the drive-through. Because there was already 5 or 6 cars in the drive-through I didn't intend on doing that. I said to her "i already went through the drive-through." In response, she turned her back on me shaking her head and continued to ignore me. At that point I walked over to the drive through window, where there was a car waiting for their order, and tried to communicate with the person at the window. I told him "I just went through the drive-through and did not receive the dressing for my salad. I tried to have the girl upfront get it for me but she refuses to open the door." His response was "yeah, because we're closed!" He then proceeded to ignore me and tend to the customer in the vehicle. I stepped aside and waited for that vehicle to be finished. As the vehicle pulled away, the woman driving it rolled down her window and asked me "did you get terrible service too?" She then proceeded to tell me how they messed up her order as well. I walked back up to the window where the visibly frustrated employee thrusted 6 packets of dressing into my hand. All of this could have been avoided if the employee that was mopping had just opened the door and asked me what I needed. Before this, I went to Wendy's maybe 2 to 3 times per week despite their routinely poor customer service. Now, after this alarming display of disregard and disrespect for the customer, i am never going to Wendy's again in Almagordo. read more
