I used to visit this location often, when I worked in the area, but I haven't come here in a while. I stopped in after picking up a sandwich across the street at Jersey Mike's because I really wanted some hot fries to go with it. I placed my order through the app, using a deal where I could get any size fry for free with any purchase. I'm literally addicted to Wendy's "all natural" strawberry lemonade, so that was an easy score for me. I went thru the drive-thru, which was empty, but was still asked to hold on momentarily. This Wendy's is the worst of the worst. The drive-through was so slow, I shaved again. Once I got my double cheese everything, one of the patties was cold as ice and as hard and crusty as a charred wood. I'm not sure it wasn't taken from the trash. Finally, the iced tea was brown water, as though they had been filtering water through the same tea bags for the past week or so. Wendy's used to be a great place to go. Now, there is nothing worse. I wish I could give zero stars. Absolutely nothing we ordered was right. The food was so cold the cheese wasn't even warm. We haven't been to this location for a year because of these issues and thought they had to be better by now. We were wrong. The worst. Also, don't bother calling when (not if) your order is messed up. Update: we took our order back to the store to talk to the manager since they can't figure out their phones and he apologized and remade our order. Second time was no better. We ran through the Wendy's drive-thru in Carmel on Sunday, October 29th at 1:45pm. As we began the order, we kept getting interrupted by the individual taking our order. It went like this....... Me: " I'll take a single cheeseburger meal with a Diet Coke. " Wendy's: " Sir, we are out of medium lids. The only lids we have are small lids. I can get you a small drink with a lid or a medium drink with no lid. " Me: " No big deal. A small drink is fine. I'd also like to get a vanilla Frosty. " Wendy's: " We are out of the vanilla Frosty until next year. We only have a pumpkin Frosty. " Me: " No. I don't want a pumpkin Frosty. I guess I'll just add.... " Wendy's: (interrupting me mid sentence) " I'm sorry. My general manager just informed me that we are out of French fries. " The next sound you hear is us driving away........ This Wendy's is run COMEDICALLY poorly. I sat in the drive thru with about 8 cars in front of me for 20 minutes. One car moved. That's it. So I bailed along with the guy behind me. We went inside and the line was to the back of the restaurant. Another 5 minutes. No movement at all. That was it; never coming again. Service is at level of awfulness that is hard to put into words. Yikes. Run for your life. Don't waste hours of your day waiting for a few nuggets. Not worth it. read more

Service is too slow to be considered fast food, when you have limited time for a lunch break and you order a burger you expect it to be fast, but the line gets stalled and doesn't move at all for over 10 minutes, if it happens once you can give the benefit of doubt but if it happens again you know not to return. read more

I'm certain Carmel is the capitol of customer service in Indiana. It's one of my favorite things about Carmel, and this Wendy's certainly fits the bill. My son and I hit this location every Wednesday after finishing our Cat Lady and Cat Daddy duties at the rescue. It's typically during the lunch rush. Yet, we rarely wait long. The line moves quickly and it's a rarity that we have mistakes with our order. I'm a please and thank you kind of gal, even in the drive thru. I'm always met with the same courtesy, you're welcomes and smiles at this location. And my fries are almost always crisp and crunchy...not limp and squishy. Perfection! I've worked in the area for years, so I occasionally go to this Wendy's, and I can honestly say that I've never had a good experience. Their drive-through is hands down the worst I've ever seen. I usually keep driving when I see the long line because I don't have time, but last night I had a craving for Wendy's, and the drive-through line didn't look bad. I had a meeting with a client at my office so I had to hurry back. I arrived at the drive-through at 7:45 p.m. I know that because I texted my client "I'm grabbing Wendy's real quick then I'll be right there." Then I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with fries and a Dr. Pepper. I arrived at the window and the woman gave me a Dr. Pepper. A few minutes later, she opened the window and almost gave me another Dr. Pepper before she said "Wait, did I already give you a drink?" I said "Yes," then she closed the window, and I overheard her say "I hate this job." Then I waited forever for my food, before they opened the window and said "Can you pull up? It'll be a minute for your chicken." I was annoyed, but it is what it is. I drove forward and then watched car after car get their food and drive away. I didn't realized that making a grilled chicken sandwich was so complicated. It was now 8:05 and I still didn't have my food. When there were no cars at the window, I got out of my car, walked back, and knocked on the window. The male manager and the woman working the drive-through were just chit chatting and laughing together. The manager answered the window and said "Yes sir, we'll get your food out to you as soon as we can." I looked at my watch and was getting very annoyed. My client was texting me asking for an ETA. Five minutes later, I finally said "screw it" and drove back to the window to ask for my money back. The drive-through woman and manager were once again laughing together. When she heard me knock, she flashed me a "hold on one second" sign, without looking at me or talking to me. She thought that I was still waiting for my food, when I just wanted my money back so I could leave. Suddenly, she opened the window and rudely handed me my chicken sandwich, once again without looking at me or talking to me. Her laughing conversation with the manager was obviously more importantly. They forgot my fries, so I knocked on the window again. The woman opened the window with a "Why are you still here?" expression on her face. I said that they forgot my fries, and the manager said "What size?" This guy didn't even know what I ordered after I had been there for a half hour! I said "Forget it!" and drove off. I'll never be back, which is a shame because I like Wendy's and this place is close to my office. I'm not surprised that this place has so many terrible reviews. Just tried to get food at the drive through on a slow Sunday afternoon at 2:30pm. Kid comes over the speaker at the ordering spot and tells me "We are only doing Door Dash orders." Say that again, I say. "Only Door Dash orders". Now think about this - other than the order-ahead component of a Door Dash order what possible difference could a drive through order (or a walk in order although as usual this Wendy's location was deserted inside) which would make them fill Door Dash orders only? If they have the product to fill Door Dash orders then they have the product to fill drive-up orders as well. These geniuses just sent a steady stream of Sunday afternoon business right down the street to McDonalds and Culvers. Well done, rocket scientists. read more

I tried to give this place a couple chances since I live and work near here, but this time ahead of me a drink with the lid unsecured almost spilled all over my car. The employee did say, " sorry about that.. Wendy's corporate I think it's time to close the store years ago. We could count on the store to have good food and good service. I agree with the 2 star rating. Firstly eating a Wendy's burger is like eating massive ball that's made out of carbohydrates..... What I'm saying is it's incredibly unhealthy. It's not as bad as Heart Attack Grill but this review isn't about that. Firstly, the fries are just average. Theirs nothing incredible about them but theirs also nothing horrible regarding them. The burgers.... Well honestly just make your own burger/ sandwich. They're not worth getting. Yes, the baconater or whatever the heck it's called is extremely popular... Will I ever understand why? Worst Wendy's service I've ever had. Not just once either. First, the two times I went, I tried to go inside. Both times (around 4-5pm) the doors were locked. Strange, but I figured something was going on that I didn't know about like maybe a remodel/leak or something and they didn't want customers inside. But usually they'd have a sign right? Next I decided to go through the drive through line. The first time, there were two cars ahead of me and it took 20 minutes before I even got to order. That's just plain awful. The second time, I was the only car there and I pulled right up to order. I was told, "I'll take your order in a minute" and then I proceeded to watch the same guy walk outside, take a 15 minute phone call and smoke, and then go back inside to take my order. And if you thought it couldn't get any worse, my order was missing items BOTH times and I couldn't go inside to get it fixed. And of course when I tried calling, no answer every single time. I will never go there again. Stay away! I wish I could give negative stars. read more

I moved to Carmel 2 years ago and my office is less than 2 minutes away from this location. I have attempted to eat at this Wendy's over the course of those two years maybe 15-20 times and never been able to actually receive food. From random closures during daytime hours to them being open but not serving food each attempt has been a failure. Kinda funny when you think about it. Just keeping me healthier i guess! read more

Went for breakfast. I ordered a biscuit and gravy and French toast sticks with a strawberry lemonade with no ice. The guy taking the order wasn't listening so of course he proceeded to not give a fork, no syrup, and put ice in the drink. this isn't the first bad run in with this certain location so I just will not go back to this place. She'll try to tell your kids to order sweets while you are telling her no. Your order will be wrong, and while you wait for your food, 4 people from the drive-thru will come inside to say their order was wrong/missing items. It's approximately 85 degrees inside, too. Food was fine. However it was not that busy, 1 person ahead of me,and it took FOREVER! Manager was very nice and was trying to help everyone in including the drive thru. Been to a lot of restaurants and the service here is probably the worst drive thru experience in recent memory. Order a chicken sandwich combo large, they gave me fries that we're hours old, ordered a side of chicken tenders 4 piece - came out hard as a rock. Called the store to voice my concerns, the manager assured me that they would fix it. It was late night and making a second trip out would have made me more exhausted so I asked the manager can I pick it up the next day - he said he had my back, he'll write it down so I won't have any problems. My next day at work was brutal and called ahead to find out that they were closing to get my meal, early at 11pm due to staff shortages. So I show up Saturday during lunch - I explained that I called in earlier and was promised a 4 piece chicken tenders meal upon arrival. The manager on site asked for my receipt - no one mentioned that I would need that upon arrival. I told him it's at the hotel, and he said I can't do anything for ya - I'm from a different store. Lesson check you food before you leave especially at late night. The employees have a tendency to be too busy talking with each other, keep stock of sweet and low in drive thru (which they have tons available inside and can't be bothered to move 5 feet) and have blatent disregard for quality control.
