Let be honest here, tipping culture is getting out of control…read more Taking my order and handing my cup isn't genuine service that is exceptional to receive a "tip". When tipping is no longer my or others choice, don't be surprised customers are going to feel indignant. Cubby's system, at least at this location, is automatically set to give a tip. Make sure you select "no tip". Yes- I agree, I should've made sure, but it's set to give a tip as you're about to check out. A more appropriate approach is to have the system set at "no tip". This allows the customer to determine if "the service" provided was sufficient to be rewarded a tip. Lastly, I didn't feel it was appropriate to walk up to the staff and say, "I want that tip refunded"... as they're making my food.
