We were on our way home from being down at the river all day long. We originally were going to dinner at another restaurant but because the service there was so horrible & we wasted our time to never be served at all (not even water), we decided to leave that establishment than give them our money. I was a mess because I am 6 months pregnant, frustrated & super hungry, and by the time we got home, other restaurants would have been closed. So we decided to stop by this Wendy's. The man working the window (tall, shaved head, brown eyes, dark skin, kind smile) I wish I caught his name, was so polite & well mannered. He asked how I was doing, which just that alone, goes a long way. He turned my night from hell to feeling better. The food was very yummy, we only like going to this Wendy's location being from the Chester area. I wish that man the best, and I hope he knows his small deed of being kind helped someone a lot. read more

If i could give this place a negative 10 stars i would. Every single time we order from here, half of the order is missing. When we get our food, nothing is ever correct. Today we had ordered delivery THROUGH THE APP and only got two out of the 6 meals we ordered. TWO!!! Mind you this happens, every. single. time. we. order. from. THIS WENDYS. idk what yall got going up in there missing peoples ordered every time but either fire all the staff and restart, or shut it down. also, not to mention the building itself, inside and out not good. Sending two employees home when there are 15 cars in your drive-through is bad business. Closing the inside early is also bad business. Being unable to read and online orders, instructions, on how to make a sandwich. Is just downright sad. Screwing up in order when you didn't even hear anyone say the order to you, you were just responsible for reading the order and you still screwed it up... On multiple occasions... Stopped on our way through and wanted to order a sweet tea. Got yelled at about not having brewed tea? Honestly have no idea what the issue was, it was hard to hear them but they were very upset we asked again for a sweet tea and was yelling through the intercom. 6/12/21: My son wanted this place. We went thru the drive thru which only had 2 people in front of us. The cashier taking the order wasn't rude, but her customer service skills could use some polishing. She told us to WAIT after asking us what we wanted because she couldn't keep up. It wasn't much...just a kids meal with a cheeseburger & a few other burgers with my cheese and ketchup. Maybe she was new. Anyway, when we got to the window to pay, the other young lady was kind of rude. She seemed tired and sleepy, and she spoke with a bunch of sighing and eye rolls. Not sure what her issue was, but she could use some polishing as well. I will never understand why rude people get jobs in customer service. Going through the drive-through this evening the order person seem to be very rushed. In fact, she cut me off a number of times. After getting to the window a young, black female was so incredibly rude to me and my granddaughter. I had to apologize to my granddaughter for what I might be ready to say if this lady kept on. Went here to get a 6 piece nugget meal and was told very rudely that I could not get a 6 piece combo. The worker yelled through the intercom when I tried to ask why I couldn't get a 6 piece meal anymore out of curiosity. I know Wendy's has recently dropped saucy nuggets but I've still been able to get regular plain nuggets. He told me it would be more expensive to order saucy nuggets with no sauce and proceeded to take that option away and told me I had to order everything separate. Drink, fries, and nuggets. In the last month alone I have made my way to various locations in the area to get a 6 piece nugget meal and have never had this problem. I didn't get the employee's name but if any of corporate or managers from this location want to know who it is, this took place through the drive-through intercom and his nasty behavior continued when I arrived at the second window. This took place at 9:50 pm October 2nd 2024. Never had any problems with this location before, never had any problems getting a basic 6 piece nugget meal. He showed no professionalism whatsoever. If you can't be nice to people then don't work in customer service period! I won't say don't go to this location but I will say don't let anyone be rude to you over chicken nuggets. read more

I was cursed out at the Wendy's Drive Thru window in Chester Va, after I had placed a mobile order @10pm. All of the employees were outside. I pulled up to give mobile order name because they said they were only taking cash...when I drove around to window no one helped me for over 15mins after I gave her my name. I honked horn someone came in finally from outside. Told them I wanted to cancel my order after still not being helped. I already paid for it. They were too busy outside. Manager was rude and yelled at me for asking a simple question about weather they fry their fries in oil that they also fry breaded items in, ie chicken tenders etc. I have celiac disease and can't tolerate gluten. The manager would not answer my specific question and started yelling that I would need to research online and he could not answer. I pulled up to the drive thru at 12:12pm on 2/6/2023, and I simply said "hey give me one moment to look at what I want". I was contimplating between a salad or a 4 for 4. I was literally looking for 20 seconds and someone said "are you ready". I responded with "not just yet I'm still looking". Literally 10 seconds after I said that, someone said "sir are you ready now". I responded with "not yet" (I didn't even get a chance to look at the menu because the employees kept asking me if I was ready). The employee then said "you running up the timer just come inside". I resonded with "why is there a menu if I'm not allowed to look at it". The associate said "well theres people waiting" and I was literally THE ONLY ONE IN LINE. I said "you know what never mind" and drove off. So I drove across the street to Taco Bell and as soon as I pulled up and asked to look at the menu for a second, they responded with "of course take as long as you need and let me know when you're ready". I over filled with joy after that tragic experience at Wendys. This Wendys customer service was so bad it made me leave my very first yelp review, that's impressive. read more

I don't think much of Wendy's and they probably wouldn't be my first choice of fast food establishments. Having said that, we were on our way back from NC and we were hungry. So Wendy's it was! This Wendy's in particular did a great job. All the food came out hot and in a timely matter. Fresh fried fries. Why is this so hard for most places? They seasoned them well, too. I got the pretzel chicken burger and my husband got a #2 (I don't remember what that was) but he was super happy about how it was made. You'd be amazed what makes that man happy. Lol I also checked in using my Yelp app and got a free frosty? Winning!!! I ate my burger and then proceeded to dip my salty crunchy fries into my cold frosty. Ah .. Heavenly. I'm not recommending any Wendy's but if you happen to be driving down to or up from NC, you might want to stop at this Wendy's if you get a little hungry. This place is disgusting!!!! There was not only a long line for no reason, there was mounds of dirt spread all over the entire floor but on top of that there is an old gentleman who works in restocking the fries and patties who was not wearing any gloves and on multiple occasions I witnessed him wiping his nose. He proceeded to dig in the chicken patties touching each one of them with the same hand he wiped his nose with. My grilled chicken wraps were cold and had a bitter taste to them. The wrap itself was old and flaky. The manager on duty 11.13 at 12:30pm EST was not only rude but aggressive as well. I've been to this Wendy's many times with no issues . Today I went to order at the drive thru I asked for a coke he then said fresh lemonade or no. I again said I want a coke so he repeated himself about the lemonade that I never mentioned in any kind of way so again I said I want a coke. He then said good job as if I was the one that was struggling to understand the difference between coke and lemonade. This establishment is not the fastest place around,they take one order and complete it before taking another. The drive thru moves a little quicker not much though,so don't plan going anywere soon. And it's not a very clean looking store, there were only six customers here at the time. This Wendy's is horrible. My first experience I got the wrong size shake and when he brought it to me it was dripping all down his arm. Gross. My second time they were out of sauce so just "threw whatever I'm The bag" ( her words) and my final experience my bacon was so salty it wasn't edible. This was all from March - June 2014.
