This rating is not just for the Wendy's on Wayne Ave in Dayton - it's for all of them. Why can't the order EVER be correct? Without fail it's a gamble whether you actually receive the food you order. Here's the scenario- order food, wait in a ridiculously long line only to receive the wrong order. If you don't take the time to look in the bag BEFORE you pull off, the order you receive just might be for the person in front of you, maybe even for the person/people 2 cars back. No one has time to deal with that nonsense especially while on a lunch break. Get back to work, open the bag, it's a roll of the dice if the order is right and the food tastes well let's just say - making a burger at home tastes a whole lot better. I honestly don't know how this wendys is still open it's beyond me. The food is gross the food is cold the staff are complete asses well most of them anyway. For the past month the frosty machine has been down and they don't tell you that they ring you up for a frosty then when you get to the window they tell you they don't have any frosties and can't refund your money. I've had a few run ins with the area coach chuck I don't know his last name but every time I have to deal with him his eyes are glassy he slurs his words idk if he's high or drunk or what the last time I spoke with him just today he smelled like he got sprayed by a skunk very rude and unprofessional come on wendys you can do better than that read more

How this particular Wendy's is still open is beyond me. Obviously, it's not in the greatest part of town but a couple of years ago it was decent enough. At least it was clean. Whoever owns this particular franchise should be ashamed of themselves. The employees move at a snail's pace and seem to be "out to lunch" if you know what I mean. It's extremely dirty and disgusting with flies buzzing around and brown "goop" dripping down from the vents in the ceiling. And there's no Air Conditioning. The drive-thru is notoriously slow and I saw about 4 cars in line so I decided to go in to get a chili to-go. 20 minutes later I was out the door with my chili. Woohoo. I'm now at home ready to be deloused. Avoid this location at all costs even if it's the only option. This building needs to be razed immediately. read more

First I'd like to say I'm a loyal Wendy's Customer. I believe Wendy's, is definitely the number one fast food restaurant. But this particular location 1507 Wayne, Dayton, OH is by far the worst location. I don't know why I keep going back thinking things are going to get better, especially being that this location is closest to my house. When I first started going to this place the food was always fresh and speedy. Now you can ALWAYS expect to wait in line for at least 30mins. This time we waited for about 25mins before ordering. We paid, then went to the next window. It seems this place has no organization. People just moving around like chickens with their heads chopped off..Before getting to the window I could see the guy hand the car in front of us fries, that appeared to be wrong or mayb cold so the customer handed them back and pulled up, I guess to wait. So I watched to see what the employee was going to do. He put the food right back on the shelf/fry rack. I didn't complain because he didn't put them in my bag, so i decided to mind my business. The guy gave us our food. I told him the nuggets and fries were cold. He goes back inside looks to remake the fries and then walks outside with his gloves on.. From his energy i thought he quit. So then a lady comes to the window asks what was going on. She had a nasty attitude. As she finds out what we are missing the employee who walked out comes back in while she's making the fries with the same gloves on and starts handling the food.. At this point I wanted to cancel everything, but at the rate of them moving I figured that would cause another 20 mins...Mind you the line is wrapped around the building. She gives us the food. I let her know she didn't give me my drink.. With an attitude, she said have a good night as she gave me the drink... I just looked at her in disgust.. Because i know arguing or going back and forth with a person that looks and has that energy will get you nowhere... I didn't eat any of that food last night... I would give this location a negative star if I could. my "cheeseburger " was completely dried out, a rancid piece of cheese was thr on top. it was disgusting and inedible... Absolutely ridiculously slow. Went in on my lunch break for a chicken sandwich, and it's not even packed. Maybe 5 people in the restaurant. Took 15 minutes to get my order placed and another 20 waiting on it. I had to eat my lunch on the way back to work. I get an hour lunch. What????? read more

This is absolutely the worst Wendy's and possibly the worst fast food restaurant I've been to, period. It doesn't matter what time of day I go there, about 75% of the time, the employees say that their system is down and it'll be about 15-20 minutes before it'll reboot. It's always way longer than that, which honestly makes me think that they're all just sitting inside shooting the shit and getting paid for nothing. I only say that because Ive been frequenting this location for about a year and have never dealt with an employee here that actually seemed like they care. No sense of urgency in the slightest or kind words, ever. Even when their system is up you can wait in the drive-thru for 30 minutes when there's only 3-4 cars in front of you and you'll still only get silence and the bag shoved at you through the window. We ordered 2 4for4s, 2 biggie bags, and a combo meal in the drive thru. Everything was organized into separate bags correctly which I appreciate so there was no food trading going on in the car. Some places will put all fries in one bag, all nuggets in another, etc. One of the biggie bags was missing however. Instead they threw the missing biggie bag's burger into the combo meal bag. Which means we were missing the fries and nuggets. The girl with short hair and short temperament opened the window and asked if we needed anything. We explained we were missing some items of a biggie bag, but she goes "No, it's all there, have a good day" in a dismissive way and shut the window without another thought. So we parked and my husband went in. He nicely explained we were missing the rest of the biggie bag thinking there was confusion on their end due to it being a big order. Not a big deal. The girl tried to ignore him though after he explained the situation and take the order of the people behind him, but the people said "No, don't take our order until you fix his. Y'all messed his up." It was then that she begrudgingly sorted it out. I don't know if we caught her on a bad day or what but she was huffing and puffing and just generally rude over something that could've been a straight forward fix. We weren't upset about it. Maybe she was anticipating us to get upset so got upset herself. I don't know, but it was an odd reaction to something so simple. read more

This location has been up and down over the years. Lately bad. One car every 10 minutes. They might as well be closed at night. There was a time when late at night the line was long but both windows were open and by the time you paid at the first window the were swinging your bag of food out the second window. I would give 0 stars if i could. I had waited 37 minutes to get my food through the drive thru. There were only 2 cars in front of mine. All the cars behind mine had just left because the wait was simply too long. When I finally got to the window to receive my food, i then waited there for about 5 minutes. The man who handed me my food just shoved the bag at me without confirmation that my order was even correct.
