I recently ordered delivery from this Culver's restaurant. I ordered the Mushroom and Swiss Value Basket which comes with a drink and side. I ordered the onion rings as a side which is about a dollar up charge. I also ordered a single patty ButterBurger with cheese. Delivery was really quick. The Mushroom and Swiss burger came in its own box. Both burgers were very good. They were seasoned really well, fried good and quite appetizing. The hamburger bun is a little thicker than most burger joints. The onion rings were very good, fried perfectly and not overtly greasy. The onion rings come with your choice of sauce. I chose Culver's signature sauce which is a white sauce, mildly spicy, and has a pickle taste in my opinion. I highly recommend. Food is a little more than most fast food places, but everything was packaged carefully and it appears they take pride in the food that they serve. read more

The food was great,as normal. I tried the cod sandwich, which was delicious & piping hot. Only complaint about it is at looking at the ingredients online, it does have canola and/or soybean oil in the breading AND that it's fried in. The cashier was kinda pushy with the sauces. I asked if any sauces came with meals for free and she said no. All sauces are at least 35 cents. That does irritate me. Two things: 1st, that the menu doesn't list prices of sauces (at least list a price range instead of "sauces may have a fee") and 2nd, that the cashiers push them for every meal, every person. I wrote a great review last time we were here, but noticed another reviewer complained about being charged for the dips/sauces. I don't remember feeling pushed to order sauce the previous time,and I don't use much dip or sauce with my meals. But other fast-food restaurants automatically include dip/sauce with certain items like onion rings, so that is why I asked about a different sauce than the cashier was pushing- for my onion rings. But because of the extra cost, I chose not to order any sauce. It probably wouldn't have bothered me as much if I hadn't noticed how the cashier girl kept pushing the boom boom sauce to every single person in our party, but without mentioning the extra fee. With budgets getting tighter & tighter, we're having to be more careful with our money. Thirty-five cents (or more) may not seem like much, but If everyone in the family orders 1-2 sauces, it can (and has in the past) add several dollars to your bill that you weren't expecting. We've been eating out a LOT because of a renovation we're working on. We've eaten at this Culver's quite a few times and until yesterday, all the cashiers have been pleasant, helpful & cheerful. I can't say yesterday's cashier wasn't pleasant, but it felt forced. Like she wasn't truly a pleasant cheerful person or really didn't want to be there. Most other cashiers in the past have been extremely friendly & helpful & seem genuine. Anyway, between the extra, hidden costs of sauces for your meal, the overall cost of eating out (anywhere; not just here) and looking at the ingredients lists online and (not surprisingly) finding MANY MANY food products containing and/or being fried in soybean and canola oils, we will be making eating out a rare thing ASAP- for out budget and our health! But the food does taste good. And I was pleasantly surprised to see ACTUAL BUTTER. Butter in the buns and if you get a butter packet, it's actually butter- not margarine or a blend with crappy oils. Great visit on Friday night to the new Culver's in West Carrollton. This location is part of new development along the river park where the old Roberd's store was located. When you enter you see the big menu. Salads, Fish, Chicken, sides & Frozen Custard. It was our first visit to a Culver's as there is no other location in south Dayton. After seeing commercials for years we had to start with their burgers. The deluxe comes with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, cheese & ketchup. You can customize as I did with cheese, lettuce & mayo-note the burgers have shredded lettuce. The crinkle cut fries were fantastic & hot right of the fryer with just the right amount of salt. They have Coke products & you fill your own drinks. They have a deal where you order burger, fries & drink or you can substitute the drink for a milkshake or concrete mixer. You can also have that served with your meal or later. I went with the later option, they give you a printout to take to the counter to have made right away. I had chocolate concrete mixer with Dove Dark chocolate pieces & M&M's it was delicious! We enjoyed talking with fellow diners. One loves their salads, which hers looked so good with grilled chicken & another couple raved about their fish, which also looked really good too. They were really busy because they just opened the burger was okay, but appeared to be thrown together & the cheese wasn't melted. Definitely going to return as there is so much on their menu & would like to try & definitely have another mixer as there are so many you can customize. Worst service EVER!!! Food was good, but their employees are inattentive, lazy and are deceptive about menu items and their costs.

I visited Culver's in West Carrollton this evening and spent over $50 on dinner, which included two orders of cheese curds. When I asked for a marinara sauce, I was told there would be an additional charge of 35 cents. While I've never been charged for marinara at other Culver's locations, the issue wasn't the fee--it was the lack of courtesy and professionalism. I spoke with the manager, Heather, who was dismissive and nonchalant in her response, simply stating the charge is standard. There was no effort to explain or address the concern respectfully. Additionally, one of the sandwiches from my order was missing. I had to go back into the store to get it, and there was no apology or acknowledgment of the mistake. As a new business in the West Carrollton area, this was a disappointing first impression. I hope the team takes customer feedback seriously and makes improvements moving forward. -Susan read more

Visited Culvers in West Carrollton for first time. Really good food. Best fried walleye I've ever tasted with fantastic slaw and tartar sauce. We had cheese curds and they were not quite as good as Young's but close. Hubby had a butter burger and he really liked it. Made like smash style. Milkshakes to go (because food portions fill you up!) and they were so creamy. Salted Carmel for him and strawberry for me. We shall return sometime! read more

Ordered a chicken sandwich. Cut it in half and was still frozen in the middle! Asked us twice what was on it and offered no apology or explanation as to why the food was delivered this way to our table. This is not the Culver's we know and love . Ordered the cod fillet sandwich. It way too much bread and the fillet didn't have much of a taste. It was also barely warm. The ice cream was terrible. I have had better food at a hospital than this. read more

I've been to the West Carrollton Culvers 3 times since it opened. I have ordered the same food each time, a sourdough melt no onions. Each time, I recieve a sourdough melt, with caramelized onions! Apparently, they don't really listen to what drivethru customers ask. I cannot eat onions because of a medical issue and I am tired of picking them out and tearing up the sandwich and still have indigestion problems. I would not recommend this restaurant. read more

Visited the West Carrollton Culver's this evening. Went through the drive-thru which took a while but they were very busy so that was understandable. I ordered their Pub Burger which looked really good on the menu board. It was not. The meat was strange. It was supposed to be a double burger but just had pieces of broken-up meat that was dry, way overdone and had no flavor. The thick-cut bacon was overcooked, hard to chew and also had no flavor. The cheese was not melted or even warm and the whole thing was put together very sloppily. The pretzel bun was pretty but didn't really add anything taste-wise. It was $10.19 for just the sandwich - most I have ever paid and I couldn't eat more than a few bites. I was so disappointed. read more

Adding on to my last review - This is my go to fast food restaurant over anyone else, they have a lot to choose from and everything I have had from the fish dinner, butter cheeseburger and now my next favorite mushroom Swiss burger. Fantastic. I absolutely love their fries. ( My 1st review ) - I live in West Carrollton, and when I heard that Culver's was building a restaurant here, I was super excited. Normally I would have drive either to Monroe or Vandalia. I don't like driving the highways. It is my favorite fast food. I always go for their North Atlantic Cod dinner. It is so so good. It is so light and flaky. My mouth waters thinking about it. The service I got there was very nice, everyone was very courteous. read more

My second time to try this Culver's and my second bad experience. After waiting in the drive thru pick-up line for over 20 minutes, I asked the person delivering to the cars about my order and was told that "it will be out". A few minutes later a second person asked if I ordered a crispy chicken, I answered "no" and asked about my specific order number and was told, "it will be out". I was asked again a few minutes later if I ordered a crispy chicken and I asked about my order number and when she told me, "it will be out" I decided to go inside. When I went inside, I asked to speak to the manager. A man said, "will the owner do"? I explained that I had now been waiting over thirty minutes and had not gotten my food. He made an inquiry with an employee and checked the display and told me it had been brought out to me. I told him I had not received my order and he told me he would need to verify that I hadn't received it. At that point, I asked for a refund, which after another five minutes I did receive. No apology from the owner, no give us another try. When I left the parking lot, I had been there for just short of a full hour. read more
