Wife had to work late, ordered exactly what she wanted, went to pick it up (drive thru) and they told me I had to go inside. May not seem like a big deal, but I was underdressed, since it was "drive thru" and id assumed I would get our order that way. So I'm uncomfortable and triggered by 'normals' ( since you can't trust anyone nowadays). I prefer to just handle the transaction as intended (not dealing with anyone but the staff), just through the drive thru. End result: SUPER LONG WAIT -IN STORE, and it was still wrong. Had to deal with so many others (human morons), and the staff still screwed our order up. How hard is it to read... and wife was disappointed with my 40 min round trip (6 mins up the road). I dont normally review chain restaurants but we went to this location today and had a good experience. My husband ordered the Grilled Asiago Ranch sandwich and I got the Grilled Southwest salad. We also ordered a medium fry to share because who can really turn down fresh fries with sea salt. When we got in the drive through line it was a little long but moved quickly, they offered a military discount and all of our food was fresh, beautifully put together and the fries were steaming hot. Food was tossed in the garbage! Not only were the nuggets and chicken sandwiches likely RE-dipped into fryer, as they were super hard and moist-less, but they smelled of cigarettes. Almost like the person preparing them didn't wash their hands after their smoke break. The cookies also smelled of cigarettes. The mango lemonade was INSANELY sugared to death. I ordered online for a pick-up/ I ordered Daves's Combo (for my dad), a Biggie meal for my son, and Grilled Chicken sandwich meal wit a sub to the fries with Chili. The food was hot and seemed like it would def be fresh. However, while doling out food I looked for my grilled chicken sandwich. Come to ; finally giving up. I realized they gave me the wrong combo. So, I looked at the chili. It looked like crap beans with cheese. There was no liquid in it at all. I can't put crackers in it because it is too dry. I won't give you all 99 but I'll recap the top four. 1. Fries stink. That's at all Wendy's but they were particularly bad here 2. They can't get a drive through order right. I ate inside but while I was standing on line, two different people who had gone through the drive in had to come in and ask for food that was missing from their orders 3. The soda machine is in the world's stupidest place. It's right in the middle of the counter, so if the cashier at the left is open, you can't even see her if you're waiting to place your order because that big ass machine blocks everything. (see picture) 4. In violation of their merchant agreement with Visa, I was rudely told I couldn't use a card to pay since my order was only $7. The problems I had with that was that I was paying cash anyway but second, no merchant is supposed to put a floor limit on the amount of purchases they will accept. The place was clean enough. If I happen to go through Dover again and feel the need for fast food, I'll try the Burger King next door. read more

Revamped restaurant. The drive-thru is much much easier to use except for the menu, which is so light colored, it's hard to read (no contrast) and of course, it's been rearranged so the fave cheap stuff is hard to find and the potatoes seemed MIA until after I ordered, they appeared in the middle of the board. In addition to the hard to read sign board, the salad selection seems to be seasonal and there was no way to tell if the one main meal salad I found (Mozzarella and pesto) had nuts (pesto has nuts.) The garden salad is in such a small container, it flies out all over when you try to eat it. Forget trying to jury-rig your own taco salad, the container of the salad is miniscule and over-filled. The chili is watery but at least doesn't seem to be concocted of day-old burgers chopped up. Lose-one, win-one. I dropped my chili on taking it out the window, and the kindly young guy serving at the window got me another one in case it burst open. But my new chili was missing its crackers. lose-one, win-one, lose-one? Props for fixing up the Third World parking lot with ruts bigger than my back forty, props for cleaning the place up, props for the guy working the window, and no props for the new menu. Nasty attitudes here. On the way back from the beach stopped and placed an order through drive thru due to COVID. Prior to pulling off asked if we had barbecue sauce for the nuggets to which the cashier nodded his head. We pull over and surprise no barbecue sauce, no fries, no fork for cheese fries and three napkins for 4 ordered meals. I walked over to the window to which Mr. cashier tells me he does not pack the bags. So while I'm telling him well that's news for the people that do he slams the window to which another nasty lady comes to the window because Mr. cashier don't speak my language, to which I have to repeat my issues. While it looks pretty, and has a MUCH needed upgraded parking lot, the staff and service have not been upgraded to match the new look. I understand that everything is "Fresh, never frozen" but I don't understand why they can only take one order at a time. We stood in line for 6 minutes before someone took our order, because it appeared they had to wait until the order before ours was completed. After placing the order, we were told to be seated and that the meal would be brought to our table. Fifteen minutes later, we received the wrong order (not what was on the receipt) and had to explain several times to the woman delivering the food that it wasn't correct. By the time we had the correct order, the original (correct) food was cold. No sense of urgency, poor customer service in multiple levels, both regular employees and management. Pros: When correct, the food is quite delicious. Clean dining room, moderately clean bathrooms. Upgraded parking lot from previous disaster. Cons:The soda machine is always out of popular flavors. They messed up twice (forgot sour cream on my wife's potato & put the wrong condiments on my burger) but immediately fixed it. It's as good as any other fast food. It is on the slower end for drive thru but inside isn't as bad and it's renovated with tv , couch chairs, and a fire place. I placed an order through door dash for 3 biggie bags(no added items or substitutions, so a very easy order), and a side of baconator fries, our food arrived and we only had a measly small bag, with hope of opening the bag we thought we would find our food. Wrong. We had received someone else's order. We contacted door dash only to find out it was all of Wendy's fault. They had put the wrong receipt on the bag, gave our dasher the wrong order and purposely sent us the wrong bag. After contacting door dash and replacing the order, our new dasher went through our food to make sure they had everything before going through this a third time, Wendy's again had messed up and forgot one of our burgers. I am appalled by this wendy's and have never had such a bad experience with a restaurant. Great job on remodeling this location. The parking lot looks much better although not very spacious. The only problem is the extremely long wait just to place your order. The lines are normally very long. But what seems odd is the long wait time is nice you get to the order menu. Do the staff have some sort of indication that lets them know when customers pull up or do they just guess when someone is there. It takes 20-30 mins per car in drive through and it's alway back up to the highway not because a lot of people go there, they just don't know how to get orders out on time. Now recently I did a dash here and I simply explain through there idiot heads how I have a DoorDash for set customer and after another 20 min from the intercom to the window I sat there in my car and waited watching her go back in forth for another 10 mins doing nothing until she finally decided to open the window then ignorantly tells me I never told her I had check in through the intercom and decided in there imbecilic minds that the best solution to this problem was to have go back into the line that was backed up into the highway? Not only that she had another manger come up to the window and rudely explain to me how neither of them even hear me with there headsets on!
