Went in for a burger snack, waited at the counter a few minutes behind one person before noticing they were using the kiosk to order. The staff behind the counter wasn't helping other than getting orders treat. So I guess that's the way it is now, use the kiosk to order and not talk to a human. It would have been nice if they had a sign recommending use of the kiosk and a note that they were going to ignore you if you wanted to order. lol. Did my order quickly, noting we were dining in. Saw the counter person getting orders ready both with treats for dinner in and bags for takeout. Was surprised when they called my babe and sub saw no yet, only the bag. Went to sit down and looked at the receipt and in large letters at the top it did dive in. So not sure what happened. Food war ok, but seemed to be made in a hurry. Anyways that was my experience at Wendy's today. read more

I always feel silly writing reviews for fast food, but I hate this Wendy's. They've never gotten my drive thru order correct and most of the staff is rude. I told the woman at the window that something in my bag was missing, and she insisted it wasn't. I pulled around and had to go inside because after checking every bag, it was in fact missing. Their burger buns are often stale, burgers cold and nuggets like hockey pucks. read more

I will never eat at Wendy's in Groton again the short manager that is there late at night is the rudest person ever I told her I was missing half my order and she grabbed my bag out of my hand like I was lying and then told another employee in Spanish something to which she looked over at us and shrugged her shoulders and walked away. Manager comes back and has us pull up to park and then takes almost 15 to give back our real order the employee that brought it out to my car was very polite and and apologized several times for both girls being so rude. Not sure his name will sh I had gotten it to recognize him in this post but can say he was a little taller with a silver and blue chain on so to him THANK U SO MUCH SIR... This is the second time in this past few weeks that I've been displeased with this Wendy's. The first time, I was told I had to wait for fries for 15-20 minutes. And they weren't even fresh so I have no idea what the wait was for. Some of them were cold and grainy. Then I go there last night to get my daughter some food. And the meal was a four piece kids meal with milk. They didn't give the milk to me at first. I had to ask after they said "you're all set have a good night". Then I get home and they didn't give her 4 nuggets. Very annoyed at this point. Will not return. read more

Although I rarely visit fast-food restaurants, when I do, I choose Wendy's. While visiting the Groton area, I stopped by the drive-through for some treats for the kids. At the start of the lunchtime rush, we ordered an array of items--chicken sandwiches, burgers, frosties. The food emerged fast & fresh! It was obvious the team took their jobs seriously and with pride, and they were friendly beyond belief. Very pleased by such amazing service! read more

I went here last night and the line in the drive thru was pretty long. However, the line went pretty fast. I got my usual Spicy Chicken Sandwich combo which turned out excellent. I tried the Baconator fries for the 1st time and they were excellent. They almost forgot about my drink was only let down. read more

Terrible service , This is the worst customer service in Groton CT , I placed a mobile order online and went to pick it up in the establishment and the worker was had my ticket in her hand and came off very rude asking what's my name ,told her my name and told her that's my order ticket she's holding ,she then tells me I didn't write my name in the order , I apologized and told her my name because I see it's busy , then she tells me "how am I suppose to know what drink you want when you don't put it in your order ?" Again I apologized and said I thought I did,so I told her what drink I wanted .she comes back and says "how am I suppose to know what sauce you want cuz you didn't put it down either ?" So at this point I'm like wait a minute I shouldn't have made that many mistake on my online order because I checked before I confirmed it ,I look at the ticket .... My name was in there,my drink of choice was in there,and my sauce was in there ,everything she needed to know was in there and you're getting mad at me ?! I had no choice but to give a star. If it was up to me they wouldn't get any. 2 weeks ago I waited in line for 5 minutes, no one in drive through. The only other person was the lady ahead of us that was have a grand old conversation with the only working employee about nothing relevant to the tasks of the employee. Today I ordered a baconator. They replaced one of the 2 patties that come with the burger with a gallon of mayo. Go to Burger King. read more

Well after being notified that there would be an extended wait time for nuggets... I received the freshest of nuggets in the land. The scent of fresh nuggets quickly filled the transportation apparatus. Due to this scent I had the urge to dive into these fresh nuggets, subsequently burning the first few layers of skin off the side of my mouth. I asked for a honey mustard and the lady refused very violently I was scared, intimidated and out right belittled, but most of all I really just cared about the sauce, who tf wants dry nuggets? Not me. I will never and I repeat never return to this establishment. read more

Customer service does not exist at this restaurant. The staff is slow and rude. They are not particularly good at providing meals as they are ordered either. I asm a patient woman but this has happened just too often. I will not comeback. read more

Understaffed. Manager "Hugo" shows absolutely no leadership or direction. I'm in line and the 4 people in front of us all have ALL had their orders messed up. People from the drive through are coming in with messed up orders. Customer service is very poor. I've never seen it this bad at any establishment! Poor old man has been waiting for 4 creamers for over 8 minutes now. Corporate should check this place out, it's a very poor representation of a Wendy's establishment. Terrible experiences recently. A couple months ago, I went for the first time, and ordered a Baconator sandwich. About halfway through the sandwich, I bit into a large chunk of plastic like that which would house the bacon for refrigeration. Understand, it was INSIDE the sandwich, between the burger patty and bacon. I dealt with Wendy's corporate on that occasion, just to make sure that somebody was aware of the situation, and to ensure that it wouldn't occur again with worst circumstances (e.g. a child finding it or something). Their response was defensive and dismissive, offering me coupons and complimentary food, presumably to make me happy and to keep me from broadcasting my situation, all of which I did not take advantage. The store also called me directly and asked me to notify them directly of any further issues, as opposed to involving corporate customer service, thereby avoiding any repercussions for the store or its staff. I had been once since then, to give them another chance, with no negative outcome. I went back today, and ordered a spicy chicken sandwich. The bottom bun was COMPLETELY covered in mold. It was completely gray/green, and would have been impossible for the person who made the sandwich to ignore or to avoid noticing. I didn't think to compile this review until later, after I had thrown the sandwich away in disgust, or else I would have posted a picture. I called the store directly, as they had requested previously, to notify them that they may need to replace some of their buns (and implicitly, some of their people). AGAIN, they were incredibly dismissive, almost to the point of rudeness. I was told to notify the staff on my next visit of the issue, and that a manager had okayed a complimentary meal for me. Hopefully needless to say, I will not be going back to utilize that offer. The fact that the manager's response was not one of surprise and disgust, as mine was, and instead was simply to have me mention her name, is evidence of both an awareness of and a complacency with repeated issues of this nature. She didn't express the need to speak to me directly, and it is apparent that this is a common, comfortable, reaction, pointing invariably to a common, comfortable, occurrence. Place is a joke. I know I seem like the idiot in this situation, both for going to Wendy's in the first place, and for going back the second time, but I will not be giving them the opportunity to do this a third time. I hope that this review reaches others, and allows them to make the same decision. Maybe a drop in sales, albeit unlikely, will motivate Wendy's to change their idiocies. read more
