It's sad because I have always liked this place until today. I come in, there's renovations being done and two Indian guys working. Not sure if there was a replacement of ownership but none of the usual workers I tend to see were there. I place an order for not only me but my mental health patients. A COLD CUT COMBO. The simplest most common sandwich (Ham,Salami,Bologna,Cheese). And i took that right off of their menu. The worker proceeds to only put bologna. When I called him out on it I got lectured by the manager (maybe owner) about how Im wrong and Bologna has ham and salami in it. I AM NOT JOKING!! They really debated me even after pointing out how the sandwich is made on the screen with the menu right behind them. As a mental health worker I have no time to go back and forth with them so I swallowed my pride and take the sandwiches. My clients were so dissatisfied I drove to another subway in East Hampton. I hope the owner and manager see this because guess what? I HAD NO PROBLEM GETTING A COLD CUT COMBO MADE THE RIGHT WAY!!!!! I won't be returning! My agency has been made aware to stay away. My critique is about what I was charged. I can't remember the last time I went to Colchester Subway but I ventured to guess there were new owners. Service was fine but I was the only one in there. I ordered a 6" tuna deluxe, no drink, chips or cookies. The boss man rang me up. He charged me $11.36. I said what? He never made contact with me, I paid it, which was against my better judgement. There was 1 shred of cheese on the Italian herb and cheese bread, the girl making the sandwich seemed nice but I had to repeat myself a few times. Ended up with about 3 slices of ham and 4 pieces of salami on my foot long. Probably the skimpiest subway sandwich I've ever gotten. The girl was actually going to skip over ingredients if I didn't say anything. Lettuce was extremely wilty and browning. Restaurant overall felt dreary and desolate. Probably will not return to this location. I've never written a yelp review before but I'm pretty disappointed I went to this location today. Friendly service though. Service fine, ambiance? It's a Subway and clean. However there's something in the bread that doesn't work for me!! I get horrid stomach problems every time (I don't go now). I've had to literally SPEED HOME after a meal because of stomach problems!! If you're not familiar with the bread, I suggest going elsewhere! This is a typical Subway, however, I think it's one of the better ones. The store is clean and offers a good amount of seating. The service is always quick but not always the most pleasant. But what do you expect? Their selection of breads is great and they're all tasty. You can get wraps, salads, and subs. Their subs are still delicious and their cookies rock. I have never been disappointed. If you are looking for a bigger bang for your buck, then going to one of the local markets to a get a fresh, made-to-order sandwich is more ideal if you have the time - if not, Subway gets the job done! read more

Have been here multiple times, and mostly ordered to pick up. Each time there has been something messed up with the order. The sandwich doesn't end up tasting bad, it just isn't what we ordered. I don't know how it gets messed up if the order is written down and they can double check it. I'm honestly not sure how their whole system works though. Each time the sandwich is never toasted, and we mark it clearly toasted while ordering. Asked and paid for 50% meat and one sandwich was fine while the other one barely had any meat at all. Asked for two different sauces and only got one, and one sandwich even got the wrong one. The staff seem friendly enough, but I don't much pay attention honestly. I just want my food and done right even if they're in a bad mood. The place itself is clean so there are no complaints there. Yet I haven't spent time really sitting inside it so I could be horribly wrong if anyone took a good look, I don't know. All in all it's not been great spending money here. I suggest going in to order if you don't want a surprise sandwich of sorts. If you don't mind things getting messed up here and there, then ordering online for here is fine. The manager lady here (middle aged with blonde hair) is extremely unfriendly and unprofessional. She was discussing with another employee about cutting the hours of another employee in front of customers. They tried to give me a sandwich today with three pickles on it. I used to work at subway and I know the serving sizes of the veggies and 3 pickles is not a serving. This lady is so rude every time I go in, at this point I go there as a last resort and I hope she's not there because she's miserable. Some times she charges me for the sandwich I want and sometimes she charges me for a ham turkey with bacon instead of a subway melt. She claims there is no button but last time I went my receipt said subway melt. It's not that hard to be friendly and nice to customers. I work in customer service and you can fake being friendly for 5 minutes when you have customers in front of you. It's not that hard. read more

The subway is typical. The bread is good and the products are fresh and delicious. However we live in town and every single employee here is miserable. So rude and get angry when you ask for something and THEY mess up and you just want it correct. They all seem to hate their job...it's every employee. Tried this subway for the first time. It was hard to notice anything good over the unfriendliness of the people working there. They slap the sandwiches together and give you are hard time if you have a question or (dare I say it) ask for lettuce on a slider (gasp!). We were literally told "no" when we tried to add a little lettuce to my child's slider. Not even sure what the reasoning behind that was. Anyway, I gave him some of mine so it all worked out. But seriously, try to be a little less miserable about being at work and helping people. read more

Very nice staff, very nice food, and a very nice place to sit and eat! The music isn't too loud, and neither are the customers. I helped the night shifters sweep and mop the floor once when I was eating there late and they were a little slow on closing up. Love it here. :) read more

However I lost me keys there and the people at the night shift, Thursday (Louis and Ian) I drove all the way back to look, even thought it has been a long day for them.
