2 years later and it's just as bad. Forgetting items in basic orders. Didn't think you could be under qualified to work at Wendy's.

I got a late dinner through the drive thru and the order taker was courteous. However, a different person gave me my order and never offered me my receipt. The burger was good but not exactly hot. The fries were eatable but were hard and they didn't even fill up the box.?? On the plus side, the freestyle coke machine had the right mixture for my drink. No ambiance because i went thru the drive through. This location needs improvement glad I have a good Wendy's at home. read more

I stopped at this Wendy's in Hillsborough on my way home. It seemed well staffed but most were likely dealing with the drive thru and I ordered inside. Everyone was friendly but it seemed to take longer than it should have to fulfill orders or it could of just been me wanting to get back on the road. I was very disappointed in my "mess" of a lunch order. I ordered online for drive-thru pickup and I received a Caesar chicken salad with NO CHICKEN, I ordered an unsweet tea and received a Sweetened one instead. The apple slices were brown and so was the lettuce in the salad. I tried to call and bring this to their attention, but after many attempts, the store does not answer their phone, wonder why? I'm so sick of wasting my money on absolute shiiit food and service. They were out of coke and tried to get me to pick something else that I didn't want, so ended up with sprite. The fries were cold, hard and chewy and as per my temperature gun, 87 degrees. The chicken on the sandwich was 97 degrees, the cheese on the other side was UNMELTED at 67 degrees. NEVER AGAIN!!! We came here for lunch during the week. My child's hamburger was not cooked all the way. I'm glad I cut her food up and saw it before I fed it to her. I should have known when I went up to order. The staff were visibly stressed, telling people they were just going to have to wait, and disgruntled. Never going back her again. This Wendy's is underrated. I come here almost everyday to get my daughter a frosty after school. I have always been greeted kindly in the drive thru and at the payment window. They are patient while you order instead of cutting you off and saying "is that all? Is that all?" Every time like other fast food places do. They greet you again at the food window and you can tell the employees get along and are generally not grumpy like at Taco Bell where they're pissed that you're there. They always get my orders right even when it's complex, unlike Freddy's who is the exact opposite. Today I ordered the wrong flavor frosty for my daughter's friend and they swapped it out like no big deal. Seems like a simple thing but at other places it's not. Good food, clean store, short wait, super cheap prices, three points of contact with the customer and they're cheerful and kind at each of them. Best fast food place in this area by far. Best employees for sure. read more

A quick stop for highway sustenance, I did the drive through at this Wendy's. Something was wrong with the speaker and so I wasn't sure if they got my first sandwich or not. Since they didn't read back my order, I ended up with an extra burger. On the plus side, it was from their value menu and it was quite good. So it's hard to complain too much. read more

Thought I'd give Wendy's one more try. Why, I don't know. Went through the drive through at 7AM. They list 6:30 AM as when they open. I was greeted with a computer generated voice that said Wendy's is now closed. I've been wanting to try their breakfast again. Last two times it's either we are out or we are closed. That's it. As far as I'm concerned Hillsborough doesn't have a Wendy's. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

We stopped here on the way west and it was a pleasant surprise. We were greeted with a smile and the staffs is on the ball and in a good mood. I witnessed the manager being sure to have the drink area up to standard and also getting the windows and doors clean. The bathroom was also clean. Our previous stop at a Hardee's was the exact opposite with bad coffee, dirty RR and no paper. The food at Wendy's is very good too. The dining room was very well appointed and had different seating styles. Very nice for traveling. Cheers to this location. read more

I frequently eat at Wendy's and this is almost the worst one I have ever been at. The employee who took my order was the only friendly person I had any interaction with at this location. The order was a couple of special orders but nothing hard. First was to add pickles to a baconator combo, No pickles. Second was minus ketchup on second baconator, looks like they put extra ketchup. Third was one order of no salt fries, and guess what all four fries had lots of salt. When I asked the lady for no salt fries it was like the world had just collapsed around her. When I asked for a side of pickles since they didn't get added to the baconator it was like I killed her dog. My daughter just scrapped the ketchup off her burger because of course I didn't find all the problems at the same time. I do not recommend this Wendy's location to anyone. They never open their lobby, too lazy I guess. Dine in and drive thru always super slow. They do it on purpose, so people will get mad and leave. It works! People get tired of waiting on leave. Don't go here unless you are willing to spend at least 30 minutes in the drive through. I waited 30 minutes just to get up to the speaker where you order. All I wanted was a single burger with mustard, lettuce, onion & pickles with a Coke Zero. Four times I ordered and the girl taking the order kept keying in mustard, Mayo and ketchup with a fruit punch. Finally I gave up. Told her to forget it, I'll go somewhere else. This is one of the worse Wendy's as far as efficiency goes. I'm surprised corporate hasn't shut them down. read more

I've been coming here for years. My husband loves Wendys. On this particular visit, I actually decided to get something as well. We had a coupon for 2 Chicken sandwiches & 2 small fries for $7.99. I also ordered my son a $1.89 JBC! , & a small and medium drink. First off, we were charged $8.99 for our coupon. I told the guy and he went to the male manager. I was then disregarded. Stuff handed to me and he walked away. I had to ask for our cups which were both small therefore, yet again being overcharged. I will no longer be coming here. I was reminded today why I quit going to this Hillsborough joint years ago. There was one person waiting to order when my son and I came in, and one couple just finishing ordering. When that couple walked away, the cashier stood around about a minute, then left to get himself a soda. He came back, put the soda on a tray on the serve-counter, turned around and waited about 2 minutes until someone handed him a large burger. He placed that next to the soda, then went back to his register and started fiddling with a credit card and money. Then he poured himself a Frosty, put that on the tray, got a package of fries and went and sat down and started eating. Both registers were unoccupied for several minutes until a young woman who had been talking to some one by the fry vats came over and took the order of the next person in line. By now my son and I had stood there 10 minutes, while a line was building behind us that reached the door. When the guy in front of us had given his order, the woman handed him his drink cup by placing her finger way down into it. She then walked back over to the fry vats and began bagging food for the drive-thru. About then 6 people in line left. I was going to leave but my son wanted to stay. About 10 minutes passed and the woman came back to the register and asked for our order. I was there especially to get the Carolina Classic Combo but, decided to order only a Jr. Cheeseburger because I no longer wanted to spend any money in this joint. When she took my order, again she handed me our cups using her fingers inside the cups and then she turned around and went back to gabbing at the fry vats. After I placed my order I had to wait another 10 minutes for my food to arrive. While standing around, I saw at least another 6 people leave who hadn't ordered. Notice, we had been there at least 35 minutes. To make a long story just a bit longer...my burger was cold, and the cold slab of cheese was so far off the meat that it was shoved up around one edge of the bun. I waited in lone for over 20 months with a long line of car before and after me only to fond out that they were closed for renovation. They could have placed a sign to notify customers . Bad customer service Wendy's. read more

This has gotten to be the worst place to eat at. The manager on duty has the worst attitude. Workers don't call or show up for work. The dining room area doors get locked up during busy dinner eating hours with no apologies. Turned lots of folks away plus people standing at the registers were told they could not be served and needed to leave. Manager slamming and throwing keys around because she said she was in a hurry due to short staff. Wendy's needs to have corporate come in with better training starting with the franchise owner/manager and give better benefits (to help keep good employees). Even the County/State ratings has gone down. Should never need to be standing 30 minutes in line just to get your food after it has been ordered and you were the only one in line before all of the above started. Plus on numerous visits through the drive thru the food ordered is not what you get home with. This was at one time the best place to eat, visit with friends but now the service and wait time is ridiculous. read more

We are dissatisfied with our visit. Almost slipped and fell walking in the door. There seems to be a thin layer of grease on the floor tiles in the public areas, restrooms as well. The staff looked to be clean and professional, our order came quickly. My coffee was cold so I let the person at the counter know, she took my cup and creamer. Ten minutes later as I ate my cold food (must have been previously made and that was why it was quick) she brought my new coffee, apologies for the wait and left, no cream this time.
