The jambalaya was supposed to be $2 extra as a small side but since they didn't have small containers, I had to get a large for $3 extra. However, I feel like it should've been honored... While ordering, they asked about sauce and I got BBQ Sauce to dip my wedges in. The total was $10.76. I had to go to the regular store checkout to pay. The food was ready at 1:59ish. When I got to destination, I noticed they forgot my bbq sauce. While the chicken was fine, it wasn't as crispy as I had hoped. At times, there was a little spiciness to the chicken, which kinda reminded me of Bojangles. The honey butter biscuit was surprisingly good because it looked over cooked. The jambalaya was hot and it wasn't that bad. Overall, not that bad. I really wished I had my bbq sauce to eat with my wedges though.

The drive through employee actually called me a b*tch when I tried to argue with them and the manager backed them up when I requested to speak with them. I guess Popeyes in Georgia got tired of me submitting complaints about the incompetence of their restaurants so they completely ignored my complaint and never refunded me for the food I didn't receive. I absolutely despise Popeyes for having virtually no customer support so this was a gamble that finally paid off.

And, that succotash, which I had never had before, is absolutely, "reach across the table and slap grandma", fabulous. Really, I had never had succotash before. It looks like a mess, but wow, the tomatoes, corn, lima beans, and whatever else is in there, set my tastebuds on end! The hoppin john is great too, but the succotash! I don't usually like french fries with anything on them but salt or a bit of spicy rub, but whatever that crispy stuff is on the outside is very good. My only lament now is that they don't have Cheerwine on the fountain or in 20 oz bottles. But insofar as the Q goes, this is the real thing and it's done very well. Oh, and the sauces, they are great. I wish though that the hot was a bit hotter and maybe a bit more viscous. But I mix it with the house and its great. I do also love the mustard sauce. I mix that with the other two as well. Now that white sauce, it doesn't appeal to me. I've had it, but I'm from the midwest barbecue triangle, St Louis, Kansas City and Nashville where red sauce is king! Other than that, I can't say Knucklehead is better than a few other Q joints I frequent, but they have definately kicked up their game and are putting out food that is on par for great food that is what I see as competition for the other places in town. The two on the south side of 85/40 are okay for a quick hop of the highway and get back on. Neither is of the high quality Q that should be expected. Knucklehead and that other place (on the other side of the tracks) are real competition for each other. Neither though (bowls over) the other. The one think I do want to praise is that on my most recent visit a couple of days ago, I noticed their rating from the food inspector service was %100. A rating of 100 for any restaurant is very difficult to achieve. I rarely see a 100 rating. To me, a 100 rating tells me that they have taken to task getting things done in a manner of high quality. It means they are taking steps that put them into a mode that they keep their kitchen and food preperation on par as if it was my own kitchen.

We were sat within 15 to 20 minutes, with a party of 10 which is pretty freaking awesome. We started with some beers, waters, Diet Coke, and a few cocktails. We also tried the fried pickles which were pickled spears crispy, tasty, and light unfortunately though the coating kept fell off a lot, and that was a little annoying. The dipping sauce I believe a homemade ranch was good. Everyone basically ordered a plate which consisted of a meat of your choice two sides, and hush puppies. Overall, the food was tasty. The brisket was juicy. The pork was eaten up by all, and the hush puppies were crispy. The only issue would be the sides were OK. The french fries were good. The collards were raved about the corn pudding was OK and the green beans were tasty. I'd say this is a place to try. It's definitely a little bit of down home feel with comfort bites.

Even if the drive thru is completely empty you have to wait a while which is very unusual for Chick-fil-A. The food doesn't taste like the quality food that you usually get from chick-fil-a. We as a small town have waited a while to finally get a Chick-fil-A and so far it has been pretty disappointing to say the least.
