I was here for about an hour after enjoying two delicious cocktails up the road at Homosassa Distillery. A bit of time to eat something, not drive and enjoy some Yelping as I'm working out where me and the Sprinter van will park for the night. The parking lot was free of trash. Inside, the dining room was in good condition with no dirty tables and a stocked condiments bar. I placed my order on the Wendy's app and it took a few minutes for it to be prepared. A "baconator, hold the bun" was set up properly and I enjoyed it as my keto-style dinner. The seating was comfy and the wifi worked well. No one minded that I was set up here with two laptops for a bit. It was nice to get a "good" Wendy's for a change as I've had some that were poor. It's been a long time since we ordered breakfast at Wendy's. This time we went through the drive through and took our meals home. I ordered a Breakfast Burrito - something I never had before but was anxious to try. It is a flour tortilla filled with your choice of bacon or sausage. I chose the Applewood bacon that comes with Breakfast Potatoes, American Cheese, Fresh Cracked Eggs and a Swiss Cheese Sauce. It is served with a pack of Cholula Hot Sauce. It looked good and smelled good when I opened up my package. Tasted great until three bites in when I bit into several large pieces of eggshell! Now this might not bother some people but unfortunately this is a gag trigger to me - something that I just can't handle. I spit it out and was done with it. So disappointing! On a positive note - I filled out the survey on the receipt and the next day I received a phone from the store manager who apologized profusely and told us to come back and he will make it right! Their concern for their customers is admirable and quite refreshing in this day and age. We will definitely go back and give their breakfast another try. read more

This Wendy's is always fast and great food for being fast food. Have ate here a couple of times by chance cause I don't live near it.

Let me start this off by saying this is only my second time to visit a Wendy's. I only went to try the new fry's I keep hearing about. The place looked very clean and they have a camera in the kitchen you can see it in the dining area. The food was good the fry's are old school with the pealing still on them. I typically like Wendys . I usually eat four mornings a week at one of the two restaurants near my home. Today I went to this restaurant as I was going elsewhere this morning. Mistake! Just terrible service.the cashier at drive thru told me to move up. Not a problem. No cars were behind me and none came as it was early morning. I needed a stirrer so I had to walk back to the window. I said idk why you asked me to move forward " there's no cars" she got furious and said we are on a timer. I told her I didn't know what that meant. Again I asked for a stirrer. No we don't have stirrers. A straw maybe. She brought the food out with a straw and told me "enjoy your hot breakfast "a hole" Really? This Wendys is poorly managed in general. You would be much better off going to the Spring hill or Cortez restaurant. They are far better and also offer free coffee to seniors. read more

Worst Wendy's I've ever been to. If I owned this franchise I would come in and fire everyone especially the manager, if there is a manager. Poor food, poor attitude. Fries were old and cold and only filled 3/4 of the container. Burger was flat and it was supposed to have bacon on it as part of their Biggy bag deal. NO bacon. So cold in the restaurant if your food wasn't cold when you got it it would be before you could finish it. I see from reading the reviews that the owner apologizes over and over for the poor food and conditions but nothing seems to ever get done. He must like losing money with this franchise. Maybe it's just a tax write-off or a place to launder money I don't know. Certainly not a place to get a decent fast food meal. Try someplace else. read more

I called up to complain about my meal... I ordered the chicken maple croissant sandwich and the breakfast burrito... The chicken sandwich was the nastiest sandwich i ever had in 56 years of buying fast food, the taste was horrid, but also the bacon was more like little old hard shards of bacon, more like a bacon bit but a little bigger, they should be in a salad not a sandwich, and the bread is a frickin bun, NOT a croissant HOW CAN THEY NOT KNOW THIS????, which my love for croissants is why I purchased it in the first place. The breakfast burrito wasnt closed well, and when i removed it from the wrapper it was unwinding to open, i had to hold it like my hand was a claw to keep it from opening, and I had to eat it that way. We were a bit hesitant to stop with the poor review before this one. But, we decided to judge the place on our own. I don't do alot of reviews for fast food restaurants, they are meant to be the same all over the country. We found this Wendy's to be clean, quick and efficient. A lady took our order even though we had started using the credit card kiosk. She offered so we said sure. Our food was fresh and hot; even the french fries which can often be old, the restaurant was not busy but the employee's were all working. I normally don't do reviews for fast food restaurants because everyone should know what to expect good or bad. I made a exception because their Strawberry Fields Chicken Salad is one of the best salads I've had anywhere. If you're watching your weight this is a good salad to have. They make them to order which makes a big difference compared to ones that were made in the morning and sitting in a cooler all day. Iceberg lettuce, fresh cut strawberries, blue cheese crumbles, sunflower seeds, real bacon crumbled and a real chicken breast chopped up to order. They serve it with a apple balsamic dressing on the side, and from the ingredients listed, it's one of the better dressings out there health wise. It's a really tasty and filling salad and all for around 550 calories total with dressing. You can even lower the calories more by only using one of the dressings and cutting out the blue cheese if you want. That's what's nice about getting a salad made to order. Only thing at this restaurant that was weird was they had a lady at the counter dressed up in a Wendy's costume with the blue checkered dress and red pony tail wig taking orders. Don't be fooled by the offer of free delivery right now. Neither Grubhub nor Postmates, which are listed on the app and website deliver everywhere. Trying to order a food delivery for some friends who are homebound and live in Leisure Acres, Lecanto, which is maybe 5 miles from the Homosassa restaurant. Neither of those delivery places will accommodate Wendy's orders. They both indicate they'll deliver there from Burger King in Homosassa, which is almost across the street from Wendy's. Ordered small chilli, frosty and coffee The coffee was dark and muddy, the chilli was wattery like soup, but the frosty was ok. I returned the coffee and gor a soda cup so I could get some soda from this new coke silver dispenser. I tried the diet root bear but it had a nasty chemical taste so I tossed it. Then I thied the sprite which was better and drank it. When i was leaving I noticed that the floor had debrees on it (trash) other tables needed cleaning and the trash can was overflowing. read more

We used to enjoy this Wendy's, but since they remodeled everything I have ordered has been awful. Thought I would give it one more chance tonight, and got the baked potato with chili and cheese. The potato was as tough as shoe leather, the cheese was fake, and the chili had 3 beans and it's was soupy. The burgers are no good any more, fries cold. The people who work there are nice, but management needs to step it back up to the way it used to be. I'll be going up the block to Hardees for fast food now. read more
