We came here to try it out as I kept hearing such great things about this place. We both got cheeseburgers but my husband got the onion rings with his and I got the fries. The burgers were amazing, juicy and full of flavor. The onion rings were crisp, light and there was a lot of them. Same with the fries, they were delicious! There is covered outdoor seating as well as indoor seating in the a/c. This place sits right across from a lake so the view is beautiful. The staff here was very friendly and eager to help since it was our first time here. We will be back for sure! This is a true hidden gem! read more

Stopped for the first time this past week and the outside looks cool and old school but the food, we ordered the Burger Station burger and I guess it you have a big mouth and want two standard burger with no special taste they you might like it but i was disappointed in the taste of a standard burger that had no flavor, two burgers? two burgers with no flavor, with a tomato and lettuce, plus fries. When we arrived, I'll be honest, I didnt expect much, but boy was I wrong. This old building, made of rock, has an amazing view of the lake, seating inside and out. We ordered inside, I got the Mishroom and swiss burger, and it was AMAZING. The seasoning was perfect, the meat was tender and juicy and the mushrooms were to die for. Tasty Burger Joint! Our favorite is the Bleu Cheese burgers and crinkle cut fries. Prices are very reasonable. Staff has always been courteous and quick. Well, I had so hoped to love this place and was wishing to stumble upon a little gem hole in the wall & dive burger joint that was off the beaten trail. Instead the burgers were overcooked, the chicken was bland, and I'm still not sure how to feel about spending $83 for lunch for 3 kids and a mama except disappointed and taken advantage of, to say the least. I would not consider this a family friendly restaurant averaging $20 per person including 3 "kid's menu" items. We literally got three kids cheese burgers with fries, a grilled chicken sandwich with fries, and I subbed out 3 of the drinks for milk shakes. The fries are double battered, and the shakes were quite small. The service was quick, although prickly. It's a small place with some booths and tables, and it seems like they are going for a vintage look. It's one of those places that don't feel very welcoming unless you're a regular. The prices are super inflated, for food that rivals Dairy Queen at best. (No offense to the DQ). Overall this was a disappointing experience, and I so hated that for them and us. read more

I've been wanting to go here for some time now however it's far from where I live. We happened to be in the area and decided to stop in. WOW, so glad we did. Completely lived up to the hype. The burger was absolutely fabulous, the chicken wings may have been better than the burger. The fries were really good as well. The place looks old from the outside however it's very very clean and the service staff were extremely nice. The view from the patio is nice overlooking the water across the street. Took a little adventure away from home in search of a great burger and Burger Station almost sealed the deal. It is a very cute and very small establishment. Burger Station is definitely family owned and a local favorite and you can see why. When we got there the line was fairly long, about 4 people in front of us. The line went very quick. After we ordered we found a seat outside and waited for our meals to arrive. Burgers took about 15/20 minutes to come and and we both dug in! My only qualm with the mushroom Swiss burger was that the mushrooms weren't fresh. They were canned mushrooms. The burger station burger with bacon was very delicious so next time I would definitely get the regular burger and forgo the mushrooms. Overall it was a pretty good burger with a great hometown atmosphere. read more

Family run business mostly ran by the kids each time I've been in. The food is good but parking is limited due to the awkward location the restaurant is in. My suggestion is to go early for lunch to secure a table and a parking spot. read more

Just a laid back joint slingin' burgers and fries. Nothing fancy unless maybe if you want a hot dog or a chicken burger. They have ice cream too, so save room for a shake or even a cone afterwards! The main burgers are doubles, but you can size down to a single or even size up to a triple (You have a bigger stomach than I do!) The sides are normally fries and onion rings, but they had tots on special tonight so we got those. This place actually makes them crispy... no soggy tots here! This is one of those local places that people love based on nostalgia more than the food, IMO. My daughter and I are not from around here but stopped in today on our way to the fair. Based on the reviews I was expecting a hidden gem. The building is very old and cool in its own right. But the food was just ok. I had the Burger Station burger and my 4 year old had a cheeseburger kids meal. The burgers were just ok. Kind of dry. Not hot and juicy by any stretch. And I can't stand crinkle cut fries. This cute little burger joint and ice cream stand nestled away in a small barely known town in Central Florida called Hernando City. The service was friendly, and the food was amazing, from the massive all beef hot dog to the mushroom swiss double cheeseburger. They even have a small beer and wine selection. We had passed this place on a Sunday when it's closed, so thought we would make the trip from Ocala to try it one night.
