We ordered the blueberry (real berries inside ) pancake and bacon, a side of corned beef () and the Rise and Shine (I think that's what it was called! Very cozy. First visit to Socos and greeted immediately at the door. Sally was very sweet and personable! They have a board of specials, and from those I went for the Strawberry and Cream Cheese filled French toast. It was infact delicious, like wow. The chef do be cheffing it up, kudos! I will be back to try more. She mentioned their once a month dinners and I'd be thrilled to try that too. The only reason I give it a 4 star is that they weren't necessarily frequently checking on me like to refill my coffee cup or anything. (Like im used to with other breakfast joints I frequented in other places) But I will say I'm a bit heads down in my phone when I go to restaurants because I'm usually alone so, idk. #1 when I searched for breakfast so we had to stop in. Sally greeted us and was so friendly. Sit where you want. Small place but felt cozy. Some awesome choices for breakfast and lunch. We were here for breakfast. I got the cowboy bowl. It had scrambled eggs, crumbled sausage pieces, chopped smieked bacon, diced sweet ham with sauteed diced potatoes, onion, peppe topped with melty monterey jack cheese and tomato. Unfortunately, I did not get any pictures of the menu or our food. Suffice it to say that we were very thrilled to find this out of the way treasure. The food is prepared by a certified chef. Sally, our server, was amazing. She was very personable and friendly and made our lunch very enjoyable. I had the BLT, which was amazing. My wife had the club sandwich and said it was also delicious. Every dish we had was just extraordinary and could only be rivaled by phenomenal service and friendly atmosphere. What I got was an actual sirloin, thick enough to be juicy and seasoned well, and 2 massive farm eggs. That covered half the plate. the other half was covered with actually crispy hash browns topped off with toast. If you know the place but haven't tried it GO. What a wonderful GEM of a place! We were greeted with the best smile! Our server, forgive me for not getting her name, was so genuine! She kept our coffee cups filled and made us feel like we were sitting in our own kitchen! My husband got the cowboy bowl and I got one of the specials! We have eaten here several times. The food and service is always good. Our breakfast was good and cooked properly. We had a Friday night dinner here and it was ok. I had the prime rib and it was very good and cooked rare. But it was over mashed potato's and the brown gravy was on the prime rib. This was odd to me. Had lunch there for first time today. Recently saw a picture on FB of their club sandwich. It looked fantastic and when we went today to get it, it didn't disappoint! Best toasted bread and the ham and the Turkey and bacon was packed! My wife doesn't like bacon out as most places don't know how to cook it but this bacon was spot on. Crispy and great flavor. Excellent excellent sammich! Place is very nice. We used to eat there when it was Dans Clam Stand and looks about the same. Clean and spotless. We started with an order of awesome seasoned fried okra and it was perfect too. An excellent ranch dressing came with it. Just great food and an outstanding waitress made it all the better. Quality food and amazing service. Just stopped by for a late breakfast on our way to Crystal River and I'm glad we did.

Been here twice now. Very flavorful both times. Today we finally got to try the chicken and waffles ( our original reason in going there) and they were very good! My wife saw shrimp and grits on the specials menu and we left a little fatter than expected. Very good also! Next up is to try a Friday night when they serve some very delicious sounding specials. I went there honestly do to the 5 star rating on Yelp. Let me tell you, it was everything and more. Sally (owner) was so accommodating, her husband is a chef (and the cook) and he did not disappoint. Do not drive by this place, we got mozzarella sticks and they were deifinitely the best I've ever had. My girlfriend got a bacon cheeseburger and it was seasoned and cooked perfectly, I only got the 5 cheese mac n cheese (app.) but it was delicious. We also got a dessert (heath bar brownie and coffee flavored ice cream drizzled with chocolate sauce and a few sliced fresh strawberries) only complaint is I don't live closer because if I did I would be a regular. My husband and I tried Socos House of Eats for the first time on November 20. The interior was not as small as I thought it probably was. Sally greeted us right away. She has a bubbly personality. I was torn between getting a cheeseburger or chef salad, and I asked Sally which one she would recommend. I ended up getting a bacon cheeseburger, and it came with fries and baked beans. Tony ordered the club sandwich, which people raved about online. His meal also came with fries. Both meals were really good. In fact, Tony said the fries were the best he'd ever had. I don't disagree. They appeared to be double fried and were velvety smooth on the inside and crisp on the outside, with just the right seasoning. My beans were seasoned nicely. Socos serves beer and wine for those who are so inclined. Mike makes desserts from scratch, and I ordered peach cobbler to go.
