Up charged. Somehow got up charged to $10.70. Found out when I got my credit card notification on my phone. There's no receipt. Not sure why it cost that much for a chicken combo. I don't think I received any extra large size I didn't ask for any extra large size. I actually had been looking for the four for four dollars which they said they don't carry any longer so why they would've bumped me up a size from a regular one I don't know. I agree with the other reviews, the food was fair but getting overcharged is no fun at all. If the management at Wendy's sees this, maybe a little training for the team and why don't you upsize the next 10 customers at no charge. It's not gonna be me. Went there tonight at 1030 and they were "closed." Second time this has happened. Google says midnight- all the lights are on and the place is full of staff. Someone needs to keep someone in the loop because this is getting old. Was able to get food here once at 3pm and it was fire. Late night orders and the employees are freaking out because they're swamped. I totally understand that because I work in a restaurant to and it is extremely stressful. But never have I ever cussed the customer out. This girl asked me three times what my order was and on the third time she got so frustrated she started yelling. My friends and I ordered 4 10pc chicken nuggets and 1 10pc spicy chicken nuggets with 10 sauces between all of us. When the order arrived the spicy chicken nuggets were missing and we had absolutely no sauces. I got really disappointed because I held Wendys in such a great standard and consider their chicken nuggets among the best, but this was just not it. This order looks like a lack of management and leadership with the people working there not caring about customers at all and just wanting to finish the orders and their work as fast as possible. Well, you can cross this Wendy's off your list if you're looking for decent fast food. Four times I've ordered from them and the burger and chili both taste like the meat must be at best 56 weeks old. I exaggerate, but wow has it been BAD! The servers are nice enough, but clearly no one there really knows how to make quality food. The fries are tepid at best and often mealy. I used to tout Wendy's as my favorite fast food joint. If we do go to a Wendy's to eat, we usually go to the one nearest us, near the corner of Westnedge and Milham. We were driving home from Ann Arbor, and we were starving and wanted something quick and easy, so the Westnedge Wendy's became our detour before we headed home. Nope. It was closed. It is apparently that site's turn to be renovated as Wendy's moves away from its classic interior to a post-industrial look, with exposed beams and ventilation and a TV and lots of different kinds of seating. We had earlier run into that look in Imlay City when we were driving back from Ontario in October. So we headed to the West Main site. That restaurant had already been renovated in late '16. My girl had read advice somewhere years and years ago: It suggested that when ordering chicken sandwiches at Wendy's, to ask that the sandwiches be "dropped fresh." That way you didn't end up with a lukewarm sandwich that had been made 15 minutes earlier. In all of Wendy's we ever frequented, the employee that took our order would ask if we were okay waiting 7 - 10 minutes to get our order. We would always say, "Yes," grab our seats, and chill out reading the paper or something. I always ordered the Spicy Chicken combo, and my girl preferred the Homestyle Chicken combo. Within the allotted time, our chicken sandwiches and fries would be brought to our table, piping hot. Sometimes the sandwiches were so hot that we had to wait a few minutes for them to cool so we could eat them without burning our mouths. Yumm. This process made us very happy. But not today. When we gave our order with our request to drop the chicken sandwiches fresh, the employee said, "Always fresh, not frozen." We said that we were familiar with the franchise motto; we restated our request that the sandwiches be "dropped fresh." I took the cups to get sodas while my girl was talking to the employee about why she wanted the sandwiches "dropped fresh." This Wendy's has one of the new soda dispensers, so it took me less than 90 seconds to fill up the two cups with soda and ice. My girl was walking away from the counter to our table, and as I was sitting down, seated facing the counter, I saw that our order was on the tray. I said to her, "Before you sit. Look. Guess what? The sandwiches are up there already." My girl went back to the counter and asked if the sandwiches had been "dropped fresh." The employee said that they were. My girl brought fries and sandwiches back to the table, and we quickly discerned that they had not been dropped fresh. They were lukewarm. I said, "I'm starving. I'm eating." I start eating my sandwich. Within 60 seconds another employee came to the table to ask if we were satisfied. My girl stated, while opening her sandwich and displaying the chicken flat on her palm, "This was not dropped fresh. If it had been there's no way I could hold this on my hand." The employee offered to redo the order, but we said it was too late and that we would eat what we had been served. Minutes later, another employee came to our table and offered to redo our order. I was nearly finished with my chicken sandwich, and I said, "We appreciate your offer but I'm nearly done. It's not okay but there is no remedy here." We ate while we chatted with neighbors that happened to be there as well, and as we were preparing to throw our refuse away and leave, an employee came up with a sack containing two chicken sandwiches. I took the sack, thanked him, refilled our sodas, and we started leave. We weren't going to launch into a discussion such as, "Seriously? What are we supposed to do with these?" At that point I just wanted to leave. The same employee opened the two doors for us as we left, saying, "I hope you come back." I said nothing since the matter was over, but my girl demurred, saying, "I don't think so." We filled up with gas at the Drake Speedway, and threw the sandwiches away. I wish I could give this Wendy's a zero. The person who's supposed to take the order was just standing there and when I asked her if she's gonna take my order, she ignored me. Oh, okie.. it's good.. For unknown reasons, they redid the building. Looks new. The food is horrible. I've been on the road off and on for over 35 years and I've eaten at a lot of Wendy's restaurants. This may not be the worst, but they are sure trying. Long wait to order (with two cars ahead of us), understaffed? After ordering, we had to pull ahead and wait. Why? Burger bun was moist, tomatoes slimy. Chicken wrap had weird texture like the breast was precooked and then frozen and then microwaved. Gross. No napkins, straws, spoons or ketchup and one order of fries missing. Never again. UPDATE! Oops, I did it again. My wife stopped and picked up Wendy's for us on the way home from work. It didn't even occur to me that this was the Wendy's that she would be going to. The sandwiches, once again were slimy and nearly in edible. The "frosty" was completely liquid as I'm sure my diarrhea will be later on. If this place were burned to the ground it would not be enough to solve the problems they have there. Stopped in to get some food for myself and my partner. They had forgotten about our order completely when we were the only ones dining in. Don't bother looking for a clean table to eat at, there are none. Went up to ask for sauce (again, because I didn't get it the first time) and waited for the cashier to come back. His cell phone rang, which was sitting on the counter by the register. He came back to check his phone, directly in front of me, and failed to make any sort of acknowledgment that I was standing there. Placed an order online with them one night around 11 pm. Checked online for their hours which said they closed at 12am and it also said that on the app. I placed my order (the money was taken out) and went up through the drive thru & they were closed. Need to update hours because I placed an order and drove there thinking they were open when I could have just went elsewhere. When we pulled around to the window the other two employees inside just starred at us while they sat on their phones. Finally one of the employees opened the window and said they were closed. I normally like Wendy's, but this location is one of those I will not go back too. We will get to the food for sure. But first, I'll the lack of communication, rudeness, and fear between co-workers is sick. We were just coming in to kill time before a movie and have a bite. The first thing that happens when I get up to the counter is the crowd. It's definitely busy, they are feeling pressure, and everyone is doing their best. A nervous young lady comes up to the counter to take my order. And while doing so, she's stopped and yelled at by her coworker to "stop taking counter orders and get back on drive through!" And to "pay attention and freaking listen, you're so frustrating!" And those are the acceptable ones I can quote. So everyone in the area heard this and you could see this lady shaking. So I told her to take her time and that we weren't in a rush. All the employees looked at me with utter shock and quickly got back to work. Seeing that made me uncomfortable and I was about to take my leave. But another co-worker tried to help her and they got yelled at too. These poor employees here on the verge of tears at a freaking part time job. I do not care how busy it is or if a customer is impatient. How could you take that out on your staff? How can you feel comfortable eating food someone is yelling over? The bond of your staff is more powerful than a person having to wait an extra minute or three. But not to this employee, when they went to do it again, I told them that was highly inappropriate to yell at co-workers, especially in front of customers. That made her go quiet and then suddenly she was working in an acceptable manner with her co-workers. My friends enjoyed their food, I got a drink, that drink machine is so awesome. read more

I wish I could give them negative stars. Terrible service! I ordered from the kiosk for a 4 for 4 with a jr bacon cheese burger. I customized the burger and of course when I receive it, it's completely wrong. They didn't even read my order and they corrected it THREE times and you think they got it right? Not even close. The third time I told him and he wrote it as I was telling him and they still manage to get it wrong. They were all preoccupied with not caring about their job and getting annoyed with customers because of their own mistakes. Stay away from this Wendy's if you can! read more

Where do I start...... Long wait for fast food drive through. 20 minutes to the first window to order. Then 20 minutes to actually get your food. Burger ordered with no cheese and staff deliberately doubled the cheese; when asked to repeat order back to me. I'm giving you guys the worst review possible. For a few reasons. I think this Wendy's should be shut down. For starters I got the worst possible customer service from the employees. They messed up the simplest things. I got 2 diet cokes when I asked for sprite. The second reason. Is in a cook myself at four winds casino. The food I received had been sitting for at least an hour from the looks of it. It's had discoloration in the chicken paddy. Now the finally reason. Is I got a very bad case of food poisoning from eating the crappy food. I stayed up all night violently puking as well as a violent case of diarrhea. I even made this yelp account just to post this. Just purchased a "Dave's Hot n juicy 1/2 pound Double" with cheese and everything without lettuce from this location. Absolutely the WORST hamburger I've ever had in my 40 years of living! The smell of dirty, spoiled, grease overtook my entire car on the way home. Once home and opened the package, grease was EVERYWHERE. The bottom half of the bun looked and smelled as though they soaked it in rancid grease! You've been warned. Visit this location at your own risk.
