We're on our way south on the 5 and we pull off here in Orland cause I wanted to go to the Wendy's here located at the Pilot Truck stop. OK, is an easy place to gas up the gas hog Suburban too. I wanted to use my 2 for 1 burger coupon I got in the mail awhile back. I already used the 2 for 1 offers on a single patty burger and a breakfast biscuit sandwich. So, now I wanted to use the coupon for 2 Dave's double burgers. The regular price for a Dave's Double is $8.79, just for the burger! Whoa ... that seems a bit high for a fast food burger ... even a In N Out Double Double is just under $5 bucks! OK, with the 2 for 1 coupon it's just $4.40 per double patty burger. The server takes the coupon no prob and gives me my number. The other guys on my crew ordered other burgers and fries. These double burgers are pretty substantial, like I mean heavy, I could tell carrying the two on the tray. I know I can't eat both these burgers so I gave one away to someone on my crew. Each burger had 2 square meat patties, 2 slices of cheese, lettuce, tomato and catsup and mayo. They were less big across than say a Whopper. With two patties, this is a tall burger, I had to open really wide to put that meat in my mouth ... (Opps, did I really say that?). Well, open wide and it fits! The buns was a little squishy though. OK, back to how it tasted .... well, it was meaty for sure, but lacked that wow factor like what a Double Double has at In N Out on that first bite. There was no char flavor to the beef. It was quite filling though for sure, but for the regular price, almost $9 bucks just for the burger, no fries or drink included .... gotta say not worth it. But with the coupon it's an OK deal. NOT HAVE AGAIN: I ordered a single bourbon bacon cheese burger but got a double bacon cheese burger - way too much meat and no bourbon flavor. The pineapple mango lemonade was just too sweet. Generally, I really enjoy Wendy's but this one just did not make the grade because of the mistaken burger. read more

Found good friendly service here on a crazy holiday weekend. The food at Wendy's in general is always mediocre, except for the yummy spicy chicken sandwich. read more

Quick stop for gas and bite to eat. Really impressed with cashier Stevie. She kinda sped away from register right in the middle of our order. She started coughing. She washed her hands with soap (sink was in small room connected to counter). She then came back and apologized. I'm not one of these people going crazy over the latest strain of flu. Good was great and the restaurant was clean. Wasn't very busy at the time I came but was a great experience for a Wendy's truck stop restaurant. Some other places could take a lesson. read more

Ordered a spicy chicken sandwich for my daughter. She usually likes extra mayonnaise so she checked to make sure it was added. That's when she felt how cold the chicken was and upon further inspection, it is RAW! Completely uncooked. My husband took it back and they just said, would you like another one..seriously? No apology, nothing! Salmonella is so dangerous! An apology isn't even enough. But at the very least that could've been given. The owner should retrain the employees on customer service but especially on COOKING the chicken/food thoroughly! Never eating at any Wendy's ever again!! read more

My Jr Bacon cheese burgers wete not hot or fresh tasting . The bread was hard on one side , starting to stale . The fries were fresh and good. But the ketchup in the pump thing was nasty and really gross. I asked for some ketchup packets and told the guy that the ketchup tasted nasty , he said he would check it out. He came over 5 mins later and got some in a container and took it in the back. It's been twenty mins now and they haven't replaced it. Ewwwwe. 2 stars for not giving a shit! Then again it's Wendy's off the I-5 so I'm really not too shocked! But just because you have a shitty job at Wendy's doesn't mean you shouldn't give a crap! This is the closest Wendy's to where I live. Carol is always pleasent in the morning and recommends various things. Honestly, I have never had a bad experience here and the food is always hot and ready to go. This is the Pilot gas station store so i have been here at random times throughout the day & night. The only thing that deters me from going to this location is that they don't honor any of my coupons and "cannot scan my app". read more

Cashier in drive-thru didn't listen and tried to charge us for wrong item, after she had confirmed the correct item number. She then took next item which was supposed to be a Baconator combo and switched it to a single on her own, and charged us for the double burger. We would never have paid $10.28 for a single burger, had we been aware she had done that. Unfortunately, we didn't discover it until back on I-5, and we had somewhere we had to be. Tried to call several times and no answer. Honestly, given how snotty or patronizing the cashier's attitude was after we corrected her error in the first item, we didn't really want to go back through her line. Fantastic place! Had a really great sandwich chicken BLT and guacamole. I would suggest asking for red onions. Would make it 100% but it was good without them if you're not an onion eater. I'd like to take a moment to say how polite and what a wonderful employee Larisa was. She was very professional very kind to an elderly man when she didn't have to be. She will go places if she wants to be in retail cute face wonderful attitude and intelligence. My husband ordered a #11, I ordered a #13 both with spicy chicken and we got very sick not even 30 minutes after eating. This is the second time in a row this has happened and we always order the same thing. Either they are tampering with food or they aren't taking the right precautions when it comes to food safety.
