Word around town is "The Green Taco Truck" is where to stop for lunch! I have worked at a few different businesses in Orland and this truck has made it's reputation into many peoples normal lunch conversation. I stopped here with a co-worker on 10/17 around 1:30pm and ordered 3 Burritos, Nachos, and a handful of tacos to go! I have been here before so it was new to my co-worker. I was excited to see if he enjoyed the food. We got back to the office and he called me on the phone and had to tell me how enjoyable the food was. Overall, prices are MORE than affordable, staff is always friendly and the food is exactly what they have described. I think we have eaten at about every single restuarant this town has to offer so I feel confident saying this. There's picnic tables to sit down and eat or it has plenty of parking for a quick takeout on your lunch break. That's what we opted for, and it was definitely quick! Thank you guys! Delicious! Tourists, finding this on the Yelp app was a treat! So much better than fast food restaurants. Of course it was still pretty fast :-) we ordered beef tacos and chicken tacos. Just the right amount of spiciness. If you do not like spice, you need to let them know because they are definitely not mild for people who are not used to spice. So the good part first: I got the carne asada tacos and didn't come across any gristle or bad pieces of meat, flavorful, definitely fresh and made that day. The salsa was good with an interesting flavor. Good, low prices. Now for the not so good: Rice was just okay and the beans were whole pinto, a little on the dry side, and since I was expecting refried, I was disappointed about that. I wasn't given an option while ordering but when I walked away I saw it said refried or pinto on the menu, geez. A very long, slow-moving line and the girl taking orders was not very efficient and couldn't hear unless you were shouting your order. They were out of Chile Verde, shrimp, marinated beef for the tacos and all of the dinner plates but those things were still posted on the menu, no mention of them being unavailable. It's frustrating to be at the counter and have to come up with another meal choice with a line of people behind you. They need to get it together with the MANY menu discrepancies for sure and maybe put someone else in charge of taking orders. read more
