This place is FILTHY! Everything is so sticky from the bathroom stall doors to the floor of the dining area. The soda machine has soda spilled all over it. It looked like nobody had wiped it off all day. The food of course tasted like any Wendy's would but I seen one of the employees drop a fry on the counter and throw it back into my bag with her bare hands. They also have a divider in front of the stove so you can't see them make anything. I've never seen a Wendy's where you were blocked from seeing them prepare your food. I definitely do not think this place is sanitary or even worth stopping at unless you have no other choice. read more

What country is this? These employees are from another planet. Quite possibly the dirtiest fast food restaurant i have been to. I don't ever write reviews on yelp, but this place is so bad i had to. Walk in to a medium soda and half order of fries spilled all over the ground and none of the 10 people working doing anything about it. Eventually someone got a mop and half assed cleaned it up. The food has been sitting out for hours no doubt. Double stack was dry as a bone, shriveled up and had no flavor....think middle school cafeteria and the burger has been under a heat lamp since breakfast. Took 20 minutes to receive a cod sandwich and jr. Bacon cheeseburger. Food was cooked properly and tasted outstanding but the wait was far too long for a fast food option. The staff seemed clueless and unprepared. Appeared way too flustered than they should have been for a restaurant that only had five customers at the time. read more

The workers were incredibly friendly but seemed to be overwhelmed with their jobs. I gave them my order and received something that was entirely incorrect and had to go inside to get my order corrected. Right off the highway, so really convenient! Parking lot was empty, which should've been my first warning. Overcharged at the ordering window, but I caught it. Told there would be a wait for my chicken nuggets, which was fine, but then the nuggets were underdone and inedible. Fries were overcooked and bland. Will NEVER return to THIS Wendy's again. When we walked in there were 2 other patrons finishing their meals. EVERY table & the floor was filthy. The place REAKED of a raw fish smell. I have stopped at this location on trips to and from ISU and whatnot since the mid 90s. The last year or so the quality has considerably gone down. I visited on 12/19/15 and walked in to the dining area thick with smoke and foul odor. I stood at the counter for 5 minutes. The employees stared at me from behind the grill. I even heard one lady say "I'm done talking to people today". It was 8pm- not midnight. I was hungry and looking for a simple burger and some fries and a meal for my kids. Every part of my order was incorrect, and, of course, the fries were disgusting. I was not offered a receipt. I would've gone back in but it honestly was not worth my time and a long drive was still ahead. I think this location earned its last visit from my family. Too bad. read more

It makes me sad that this is the first restaurant off the highway in Pontiac. Between this Wendy's and the run down gas station across the street it makes Pontiac look like a backwards town. I eat at this Wendy's a couple times a month, ONLY because it's close to work and we receive a big discount at this Wendy's because of where I work. The food has always been ok. They've never messed up my order. I don't have any complaints there. The service is always pretty slow. There are most always a bunch of people waiting around for food when I go in there. I've seen some things that have made me leave right then and there. Once, a customer brought a hamburger back to the counter because it was an extra that they did not other. The cashier took the unwrapped burger wrapped it back up, put it in a bag, and gave it to one of the customers waiting. The customer asked if that burger went out to a table to which the cashier said "Yes, but they didn't touch it or anything." I chose that moment to leave. On top of that there is a real lack of care given to keeping the place up. The drive up order screen/microphone was broken for 6 months so people had to order and get their food from the window. The urinal in the mens room was broken every other time I was in there to the point that they just took it off the wall. It doesn't look like they plugged up any of the drain holes or anything so the entire men's room smells bad. The last time I was in there the sink in the men's room didn't work. There are much better places to go in Pontiac. read more

This is the worst Wendy's I have ever been to. The service was terrible, and they didn't fill to serving. All the food was cold and they weren't nice at all when we tried to get it fixed. The forgot something on every order we got. The floors were super sticky, which is alarming because they have carpet. Really makes you wonder how often they clean anything. The soda was bad and we had to ask for it behind the counter. Some of the drinks weren't even available. The whole place is a disaster. Should close down asap. read more

While waiting over 15 minutes with 3 people ahead of us, watched fry guy scratching head and butt and handling fries without washing hands or wearing gloves, guy that was taking order was going in back helping three other people cooking... The cashier, was extremely rude when I walked into the restaurant. The computer was not working properly and as a result we were an inconvenience for her walking into the store. We continued to attempt to place our order on a different machine through the same employee and then the other computer came up and had to switch to a different machine. The manager attempted to be apologetic however wasn't highly. The cashier continued to take our order while having difficulty even though she read back my order she still appeared to have issues. Upon receiving my order I realized I forgot to ask for spicy nuggets for which the manager politely exchanged them out. Returning to our vehicle as we were carry out- my children's food was not correct. Food we asked to have no lettuce and no tomato had lettuce and tomato and my daughter had onions and pickles which normally are not on kids meal cheeseburgers. The fries were all cold. The spicy nuggets were hard as rocks and inedible. The chili which is normally a family fave was more like soup. Not to mention the entire store even though stocked with plenty of employees had a foul poop smell inside the building/ bathrooms. And plenty of flies to spare. Never had a problem on previous visits to this specific Wendy's however next time we'll be going somewhere else. read more

Bathroom (women's ) was filthy...water on floor..wet toilet paper on floor...not clean period. The kitchen prep area had food on floor, bags on floor...filthy. Just a trainwreck of a place. A caravan of us stopped at this Wendy's on a road trip home. So they got about six orders out of this trip. One of My nieces ordered a small fry. I ordered a regular hamburger and small fry and said I would pay for my niece's small fry. When we received the order the bag only contained 2 small frys. I asked where the hamburger was. A person I assumed was the manager asked what was going on. The clerk was about to ring up the hamburger when the assumed manager irritatedly said NO don't charge her. I said ok, thanks. She confirmed that I wanted a hamburger. She gives me the hamburger. We get in the car and hit the road. I open the hamburger and it's a cheeseburger. Except there is cheese on both sides of the burger which is very unmelted and all I have to do is peel those slices off. YUCK So I take a bite and realize this is NOT a fresh hamburger. It is old and stale and dark in color and a tough bite. Not the hot and juicy I am used to from the Wendy's in Chicago. We are NOT turning around over an old, stale, hamburger. But I can Yelp it. Glad I didn't get food poisoning. The frys were good. Hope to never see them again. OH and no I didn't get a receipt. I shoved all the change in my pocket and looked for the receipt amongst it when I got home. Not there. My hamburger looked like Brett D's minus the melted cheese. Cuz the cheese they put on it, despite the fact that it was to be a hamburger, didn't even melt cuz the burger wasn't hot enuf. read more

Inside ate lunch 2-6-13. Coke tasted terrible so poured it out in restroom and returned to counter for another. Terrible, too. When I was leaving, the male manager who had been behind the counter complaining about having to "clean-up" after day shift, was refilling kethup containers and complaining that the bag hole was reversed. I mentioned the coke problem and he said, " Oh yeah, someone mixed up the diet with the regular a couple of days ago and it has been a problem ever since." No offer to make it right or apology!!! I am a "local," so I will obviously not return as there are many other choices in our community. We stopped in here during the evening while traveling through the area. The place was reasonably clean as was the men's bathroom. I tried to order a fiesta chicken sandwich--a limited time option that I learned had ended the day before but the signs were still up. So, I was a bit disappointed. We ordered the rest of our food. I have kids with food allergies (severe dairy allergy) so usually we only get a baked potato and chili as these have been reliably safe options. The problem is my daughter doesn't like the chili any more, and fusses about eating it. The place wasn't that busy so we asked for a junior hamburger and to see if they could clear the grill of any cheese. The cashier (who I assume must have been a manager too), was very helpful and asked the cooks to make sure things were clean (grill and tools). When I was ready to pay for the burger, he didn't even charge us for the junior hamburger. The best of all is that my daughter could eat a hamburger, enjoyed it, and didn't have an allergic reaction. I usually dread asking for any special accommodation at a fast food restaurant because of their typical apathy as well as prior bad experiences, but not so here. Overall the food was as good as any other Wendys (we are talking fast food), and the customer service was excellent. read more
