I stood at the counter for six or seven very long minutes before anyone acknowledged me, which gave me plenty of time to admire the one-inch-deep lagoon of swampy soap water sloshing across the kitchen floor. I was genuinely waiting for frogs to move in. OSHA would've needed emotional support after seeing it. When someone finally wandered over so I could place my order, I was granted another five-minute intermission while he disappeared to handle drive-thru--because the two employees on duty looked like they were locked in a fierce competition for "Most Miserable Worker Alive." The food? Surprisingly decent. Fries were fine, Frosty carried the whole franchise, and my burger was so pink inside I thought it would stand up, shake my hand, and introduce itself. Cute square shape, not-so-cute mooing. Then came the grand finale. One of the two workers abandoned his station to drag out the loudest, most prehistoric vacuum cleaner on planet Earth. Nothing says "bon appétit" like the sound of a dying vacuum screaming for mercy. And just when I thought the chaos was over, the guy who was working decided it was the perfect moment for a five-minute vape break--right outside the window, directly in front of us. We were literally the only customers in the store, but sure, go ahead and blow blueberry-cloud existential despair in our line of sight. Inspirational. Verdict: Decent food served in an atmosphere that feels like a haunted house staffed by people who lost a bet. Bring patience, boots, ear protection, and apparently a fog machine to blend in. We went in looking for a quick bite, and I was surprised to find no one in line. We expected fresh food from a fast food place, but that wasn't the case. When we asked for a few minutes to decide on our order, the staff member rushed us unnecessarily, despite the fact that there were no customers waiting behind us. The food we received was unacceptable--the fries tasted as if they had absorbed smoke from the kitchen and had an extremely unpleasant flavor. They were overcooked and had the texture of cardboard, clearly sitting in a heater for far too long. There needs to be strict quality control in place, and the staff should know when to discard items that are no longer fit for serving. read more

Hands-down, the worst customer service I have ever had anywhere in my entire life! It's only 1 PM and they have no ice in the drink dispenser? The white lady with brown hair and glasses with an absolute beotch! The young kid at the counter, doesn't even know how to take orders properly when you explain it to him. I watched two orders in front of me where they were so rude and they couldn't get anything right including my order. The girl just throws the food at you. And doesn't even make sure that your order is right and then when you try to get her attention, she ignores you. Wow unbelievable! I am more upset for the two groups of customers that were before me and how they handled them. That's just not right. I should know better though because this location has always given bad service. I would drive across town just to go to the other one in Northport to avoid this location never again. read more

I don't know what has been happening to Wendy's over time. Yes they have accurately reflected real inflation, but (opinion) quality has slipped. This has been ascertained from visiting many Wendy's across the country. I used to really enjoy their large Chicken Sandwich. Today, it seemed to be a scaled up chicken sandwich from the old Dollar Menu plus a tomato slice. Allow me to speculate why the dining rooms are still closed (not why they were originally closed) I predict Wendy's will be one of the first " Fast Food" restaurants to automate their business. read more

Horrible. Waited in line for 30 mins. The guy behind me sped around to the window and they took his order and backed everyone up even more. When I asked the girl at the window why she allowed that she rolled her eyes at me. I asked for the manager. Told the manager who argued that I and the guy who sped around had been in line for 30 mins. Then the order was wrong and had to go back in to get it corrected. Aye, I never seem to have a good experience when it comes to fast food or chain restaurants. We stopped into this location for a quick bite to eat. There was a line of people just waiting for their food. I should've taken this as a sign. The employees working the registers were nowhere to be found. When the girl finally walked up, I saw the emptiness inside the brain. I placed my order for the Apple Pecan Chicken Salad and a Strawberry Lemonade. Now it was hubby's turn. "Spicy chicken sandwich, just chicken cheese & bun." She repeated it back, and he made sure to say 'NO MAYO'. Then he ordered two Jr. Bacon cheeseburgers, just ketchup, and a medium fry. We paid and began our time to wait. The girl was gone for a minute & then kept having to walk back and forth to our receipt because she apparently couldn't remember two items at a time, like "medium fries, medium drink". When we finally get our food, hubby went over to fill his cup and asked me to check his order. So, when I opened the Jr. Bacon Cheeseburgers first, I wasn't sure if it was a pickle on their or undercooked bacon. Ew! But when I opened the chicken sandwich, their was a ton of mayo on it!!! The receipt never showed her inputting the request, so it wasn't the kitchens fault at all. When hubby went up to the counter to fix this issue, the manager wasn't apologetic at al. Just gave him a new one, and the cheese wasn't even melted. Now when it comes to decor and cleanliness, this place definitely could use a visit from the health board. Their was leftover food all over the carpets, and we had an insect crawling along our table (not a roach but still!!!). I definitely will not visit this location ever again and don't recommend anyone else doing the same until the health board and management cleans this place out. read more

Place looked filthy and staff was continually arguing. I will be contacting corporate. According to corporate ALL Wendy's give a 10% military discount. This is one of the worst Wendy's franchises I have ever went to. I typically don't go to fast food but when I do I prefer Wendy's. This one at Cochran Blvd in Port Charlotte is consistently one of the worst. I just sat in drive thru for 20 minutes with only 2 cars ahead of me, I never made it to the actual ordering, I gave up after that waiting too long. When I've been there previously they have never once gotten my order correct unless I go in and take back what is wrong. This Wendy's need a huge overhaul in customer service. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Went inside with my 2 year old daughter and husband, my daughter and I went to the bathroom while my husband stayed behind to order. Much to my surprise there is NO CHANGING area for babies!! Thank goodness my daughter is in pull ups or I would have had to change her in the middle of the restaurant or out in my car. We were in there a good 15 minutes. When we came out, my husband still hadn't had our order taken!! This was at 12:15. There were 2 people ahead of us. I will never eat here again. I'm not ashamed to admit that I come here quite often, and every single time, there's a problem. Whether it's food constantly being made wrong, being cold or just not being in the bag when I get home, they always seem to mess it up in some way. This late trip was a complete deal breaker and I won't be back. Spending twenty dollars on food, then finding out you don't even have half of it when you get home, only to realize what they actually have given you is made incorrectly is a disappointment.
