Been here a few times for breakfast. The food is generally well prepared and tasty. Cut backs from the old menu are obvious and in honesty one no longer gets that Bob Evan's feeling. I think it's time to reverse the cost saving cuts on quality and quantity and get back to the old approach. Food was cold, my "biscuit" sandwich was cold. The biscuit was too small to even pick up. Our waitress was rude, mumbled under her breath every time we asked for something, had a smart a$$ quip for the few requests that we made. When we could catch her eye, and asked for something, she did at least one, sometimes two things for other people before she came back. Like she was punishing us for asking to be served kindly. This is a very nice Bob Evans. The food was good. It was cooked as requested. It came out quickly, hot. The coffee cup was always full. My water was always full. I mean, what more can you ask for. I think it is just a little bit higher on the price side, but it takes a lot to keep the doors open so I enjoy going back there on a fairly regular basis. read more

We had the worst experience here today - Father's Day of all days - Serena was our server - her attitude and disrespect made me wanna walk out. I used to come here a lot with my parents and grandma. i havent been here in a couple years but thought it would be a nice thing to go back to an old favorite place. WRONG went there and my mom and I paid separately. the waitress came, didn't even ask if we wanted bread or rolls etc. she just automatically brought rolls. my mom told her when she came back that I wanted banana nut bread. My mom had a side of mashed potatoes and a side of fruit and a start. Hers was $16 something. When I had the turkey for lunch with a bowl of potato soup. And a Pepsi Long story short, found a medium/long brown hair in my soup. instead of taking it off she brought salad. When she went back over too the other side she was talking to another worker about something she was so pissed about and started raising her voice The other person tried telling her to calm down she said no she was f'ing tired of it. my order was 25/26$ when it said that it was 13$+3.99. Not to mention having a hair in my food that's just disgusting I ate the turkey that I could see what was on it and the corn. and the mashed potatoes stuffing and gravel rated like they dropped the salt in them. Our family of 3 ordered a meal through DoorDash. One meal was fine (the Cod filet). The burger was small but tasty. My seafood platter, however, was quite sparse for $15.39. It included two small, squishy fish tenders (they called them filets), 3 shrimp (they were fine but I expected more than 3), about 9 rubbery clam strips, about 12 french fries, only half a cup of coleslaw, and 2 biscuits. It came with two servings of tartar sauce and none of the promised cocktail sauce. Their description: "Freshly-fried shrimp, clam strips and flounder filets, piled high alongside French fries and coleslaw. Served with tartar and cocktail sauces." Piled High? Not even close. I was shocked when I opened my seafood container. I am VERY disappointed with Bob Evans. read more

Just OK. They have a "gluten free" menu that had nothing more than the egg dishes minus the eggs. It's a big food factory with nothing special to offer. The coffee was good. They also give huge muffins. Who needs more calories? They have some store items like candles and Tabasco Chocolates. I wasn't impressed with service, place or food. read more

Service was great, Paula our server was great, food was ok I guess. Some young person brought a puppy into the restaurant, a puppy not a service dog. ! Employees were clueless. I was in lady's room in stall, a lady was trying to wash a stain out of her pants. I heard a male voice, as I exited the stall a man was in the ladies room filling the paper towels----- really ? A guy in the ladies room? Who sends a guy into the ladies room when ladies are in there? Bob Evans had never been a place I'd chose but my friend likes it there. I won't go back!! I just stopped in to have lunch & everything was good however the gravy had hair in it. I reviewed it with my server. However she was Awesome. Then I ask for a container to go & when she sat it in front of me it had hairs all in it. The server saw it as I brought it to her attention. She was very apologetic. At that point I asked her to tell the manager and make sure to show him this and let him know it was the second time something happened at the same meal. The manager did not even take the time to come over to see what was going on or ask if everything was okay. This was one of the worst dining experiences that we had!! Our server took over 10 mins to bring us our drinks(which were only soda & water!! Our food took over 30 mins & when it finally arrived I got the wrong food & had to wait an additional 15 mins for my right food to come out!! This is far the best place to go to eat breakfast. The prices is really low while the food is the best. CINDY our server Every Sunday is a hoot. She is a great server , the best around. slightly annoyed that a customer was allowed into the restaurant with a dog. even if it was a service animal which was not marked in anyway, bringing an animal into a place where food is served is not sanitary at all. These days with all the mask requirements and social distancing people who choose to bring their animal into the establishment should be asked to leave or keep the animal at home. read more

This place might be OK for a quick breakfast but if your hungry it's definitely not a place to satisfy most people. The salad (the size of a tea cup) consisted of 1 thin slice of tomato cup up in quarters, 4 pieces of cucumber with maybe 1 piece of lettuce. A joke by anyone's standards. I called in an order for a salad and explained that I DIDN'T WANT ANY BLEU CHEESE ON IT. The person taking the order verified that with me and said he would make sure the order was correct. When I picked up my salad, I said to him, ARE YOU SURE THERE"S NO BLEU CHEESE ON IT?, to which he replied, yes, I told the chef NO BLEU CHEESE. So, like an idiot, I didn't check it till I got home and went to eat it. Guess what??!?!?!? It had BLEU CHEESE ON IT!!! When I called back, they treated as if it were a joke!!! I was in Port Charlotte, Fl for the night and there was a Bob Evans beside the hotel so decided to eat there for the convenience since I have never been disappointed with the chain before. The food was no where near Bob Evans quality, I had their rise & shine breakfast the eggs were barely warm brought the hash browns out after I was half way thru my meal. The coffee was cold so asked for another cup & it was worst than the 1st cup, tasted like luke warm water with a hint of coffee flavor. The man behind me was complaining about the coffee also. Lackluster Service Upon arrival, I noticed the table was not very clean. It looks as though a child had smeared something on the table. I asked our server to wash it for me. He wandered around his station checking on other tables and then returned to wipe the table. I was trying to be nice, so I thanked him and said I was concerned about illness. He was not very pleasant, but that may have been his personality. We ordered our drinks and the server brought them, but he had to be reminded that we wanted lemon. I ordered grilled chicken and mashed potatoes. When my meal came, it was covered with gravy (meat too). I said "I didn't know it came with gravy, but that I'd work around it. I hate to waste food and I was not positive that I hadn't missed the gravy on the menu. What I found disappointing was the server's response of "ok." There was no offer to make it right. I scraped the gravy from the chicken and ate from the edge of the plate. I skipped most of the potatoes. When cashing out our check, the host overheard me say Murdock might be a better store. He then got argumentative. He told us "I can show you the charts- we are the best." We had ordered soup to go and he abruptly told us he needed to check out others first. That was fine, but he was rude about it. When he went to get the soup, he whispered to the manager. The manager never approached us. It is a shame because we live near this, but will probably drive out of our way next time. All of that is negative, but we have had good experiences at this store.
