We've been going to this Wendy's for years. Literal years. We'll likely continue to go as well. Sometimes when you're craving a Jr. bacon cheeseburger, nothing else will do. That being said, this location has gone downhill in the last five years. The inside is rarely open. The drive thru is so slow. The last time we were there, the food was cold. Going to give this team props. We went here at almost 9:30 PM on New Year's Day. We ordered a Single with no mayo, a Biggie Bag, and a loaded baked potato. The gentlewoman taking our order apologized that they were out of potatoes, having sold over 75 during the last hour and a half and suggested the Baconator Fries as a substitute. We said sure. A few minutes later after we pulled up to the window, we received our order. Then we were asked if we were the ones wanting a baked potato. We said yes and they handed us one for no further cost. We got home and discovered we lacked butter and sour cream for the potato. A quick trip back and we had both condiments and a small chili. No charge. Those folks seemed almost dead on their feet, so treat them well. Now, I do not know if they give out discounts or freebies to one special group or another. But, if that is a dealbreaker, either grow up or stay home. Restaurants live by extremely thin margins, show some respect for their hard work and tip big. read more

I swore I'd never go back here but when we saw that the place had gone from never having any customers to completely jam packed, we had to pop in and see what was going on and... oh my! This location has been completely overhauled... goodbye 1980s! Seems like they overhauled the staff too, which was VERY much needed after our last experience! The place was clean, well lit, and the employees were not only extremely attentive but seemed (gasp) almost happy! The food was much better and the service was unexpectedly good. First of all, they say they're open until midnight 7 nights a week. They are not. Then when I place an order on the Wendy's app and pull up to the drive-thru at 11:15 pm on Saturday, April 20th (after Thunder Over Louisville) nobody answers at all. I drive around to the window and see people still in there but no one comes to the window. So I knock on the window, I'm still ignored. I knock louder and a couple of teenagers yell for someone. Then a large, pink-haired man comes to the window yelling "we're closed" at me. I said "I've place an order that I've been charged for because it says you're still open" he answers with an excuse that he's worked for 18 days in a row and he's tired. This shouldn't be my problem. Then because he's snapping at me I ask him what his name is; he says "don't worry about it!" Then he slams the window closed and calls me a bitch as he walks away. So by now I'm quite upset and I hollered "hey, pink hair (since he wouldn't give me his name) come back here!" We yelled "f*** you" a couple of times back and forth. He disappeared around the corner and I left. This jerk shouldn't be working with the public. I've never been treated this way at ANY fast food restaurant. I'm hoping this review is read by his boss and Mr. Pink Hair (Remember, he wouldn't give me his name. Otherwise I'd use it.) gets fired. Sad to say, if you care about COVID, avoid this place like the plague. Food workers were unmasked or using masks as chin guards. See sample photos. In fact, EVERY worker I saw through the front Windows was ignoring mask safety. I've lost a close family friend and a cousin to COVID so far. It's no joke. Hoping management sees this review and fixes the problem. Even if you think masks don't work (the latest science proves otherwise), ignoring public perception is dangerous if you want to stay profitable. Reputation lasts long after the pandemic. Train your managers, check on your people from time to time, and people will appreciate the discipline. It's that time of year that I tend to over extend myself with errands. That's o.k. though because it makes a good reason to try out all the local fast food restaurants drive thrus. So yesterday was one of those days. Make a stop at the local high school to drop off clothes, pick up a $5. gift for my husbands work exchange party, get my hair cut, stop at the dollar store for wrapping paper and head out of town for a doctors appointment. Thanks goodness I drove past Wendy's and saw their big sign for 9 items that only cost 99 cents. That's all it took to make me realize I had skipped breakfast and needed some lunch. Five minutes in the drive thru (which had a line long enough I thought it might take 20 minutes) and $3. plus tax and I was headed on my way with a burger, fries and a drink. NO MORE HUNGER PAINS. Literally the worst run Wendy's ever! Pull up to the drive thru, because the dining room still isn't open, we were car 3 in line. Took the order pretty quick, then we sit! Finally pulled up to the first window and the cashier is sitting on the window sill with her legs propped up on the cash register, not wearing anything that says Wendy's at all. Looks real professional!!!! Takes our money and we sit again before getting to the second window, where we sit for another 10 minutes. My wife finally gets her food, the soda is literally 2/3 full of ice, the burger looks like it was made in the morning, and the small fry was half full. 9.54 for a freaking double with cheese, small fry and coke. This was the most disgusting and unsanitary restaurant I've ever been to. Walk in and already you can see an overflowing trash can and literal swarms of flies distributed throughout the whole restaurant. The service was irresponsive to simple tasks like again taking out the trash or even keeping the floors and bathroom clean. Not only that, the drinking fountain machine was almost completely out of drinks, around the machine was wet everywhere, the paper straw wrappers were nearly soaked in fountain drinks. When we went to the counter for our food, we had to swat the flys out of our food while they kept adding the rest of our meal to our tray. The bathrooms were horrendous, pee all over the floor with flies everywhere. Due to the quality of the restaurant we left as soon as we finished our food, which surprisingly wasn't too bad. Well...I don't even know where to begin. First off the cashier had no idea what she was doing. She ended up taking 7 minutes on an order in front of me. Then when it was finally my turn, and I asked for my strawberry lemonade. She proceeded to tell me that they were all out of cups, when I could see a whole stack behind her. Then after me telling her that. And her completing my order, she decides now is the time to tell me they are all out of the dressing for my salad and proceed my recommend a "light ranch" which isn't really even ranch. It is a slightly flavored version of water, who really wants to eat that? Well I learned the hard way...gross. I used to work here, about 2 years ago, no I"M NOT DISGRUNTLED, I promise, when i worked there Tom was the only GM there, they now have two CO-GM's and Tom, and another guy, which I'm pretty sure is the District Managers son. Anyway when I worked there everything was great I would have put it up at a 4 for a fast food restaurant, It had its complaints like any other quick service food restaurant does. Anyhow, last time I went with my girlfriend, her 2 girls and me, It was awful. The Jr. Chicken sandwich is one of the easist sandwiches to make, but they even screwed that up, using old chicken and even using the wrong chicken on most of our sandwiches. Now I want to say you would think the premium chicken would be even better than the cheap, value chicken, however you would be wrong again as was I. Very disappointed, to say the least, and if you doubt my opinion, go ahead go there try for yourself. I nor will anybody else in the car that day be back. I like Wendy's food and a lot of times will go to this location for lunch. Unfortunately, their staff does not seem to have it all together. A few times they have forgotten some of my order or got my drink wrong. I have also had two occasions when my change was wrong, and the ladies working there are often rude. There is one older gentleman that works the drive-thru sometimes and he has a very pleasant attitude. The only reason I give this place 2 stars is because I like the food. The managers really need to speak their employees about being courteous. read more
