I look forward to the Lenten Season when I start seeing the TV ads for McDonald's Filet of Fish, 2 for $6. The best part of the Filet of Fish is McDonald's tartar sauce! The quality of the breaded fish is just average but that ooey gooey dill tartar sauce wins me over everytime. This week was time for my splurge. I went through the drive-thru and ordered my two Filet of Fish burgers. Unfortunately when I got home I got my BIG DISAPPOINTMENT! What! Zero, zip, nada tartar sauce on either Filet of Fish. I opened up the burgers to inspect them and yep the chintzy 1/2 slice of cheese on the fish Filet in the dry buns. I ended up adding my homemade version of dill sauce that was left over from cooking beer battered fish at home. If this review was based on this experience alone McDonald's would have earned a one star. I'm sure it was an oversight or maybe even they ran out of my favorite condiment. We did the drive through and the line wasn't that bad maybe a 5 minutes wait. At the drive thru about 7:30pm. Our first time here and the food was fresh and hot (meaning made to order) and delicious! If Customer Service isn't dying, it's pretty bad off. I ordered a simple cheeseburger, fry and a coke - seems easy enough. When I was paying I asked the Window Guy if I could pay for the car behind me. Window Guy gave me my card and receipt and, did not acknowledge my request and closed the window. I waited a minute or two thinking he would ask me if there was anything else but he never opened the window. Someone missed out on a free lunch and me, my Karmic blessing. When did McD's change their buns? It's was like biting thru wax. Fries where half cooked and the coke didn't have enough ice to make the drink cold. All the while fast food companies and franchisees are perplexed as to why they are contemplating bankruptcy. read more

We popped in the night before Thanksgiving while we were out running last minute errands. The drive-through was packed, so we opted to dine-in. Our order was taken swiftly by a delightful young lady, though when I ordered mine she muttered that she's rung mine up wrong but fixed it. Easy jaunt off I-64, where staff is friendly and facility is clean. I did have to use the giant ordering devise and nailed it on my first try, this begs me to question why the workers around the world can't get it right. Food came quickly and again just as ordered. We stopped here while on our way to take our dog to the vet in Fisherville and we got three sausage biscuits and coffee. The service was quick for our to go order. We each enjoyed our biscuits and they seemed as good and hot as usual for a McDonalds. Would stop at this location again as we were satisfied with the food and the service. read more

Stopped by today for a large fry, regular cheeseburger, and a Latte. The latter took a bit, so we were asked to pull up to the second window. We ended up waiting for about 10 minutes, but, as I get older, I find myself more patient. Eventually, a gentleman arrived at the window with the latte and a full refund for the latte. I said no, no, no, just add it to...And he completed my sentence for me. "I will add this to the Ronald McDonald House funding. Good man! Any place that provides free room and board to parents with children undergoing life-saving care is aces to me. read more

If you love to wait, then this is your place. They do make up for it by advising you, at the pick up window, that they don't actually have your food. So there's that. Then there's the great service. It's McDonalds....what can you say? They seem incapable of getting the order correct...and once you've ordered you get the privilege of waiting...and waiting...and waiting.
