I typically do not write a post on fast food but if the experience was so awesome or poor then I may note it in which I'm doing here. My recent visit to Wendy's late at night left much to be desired. After ordering a simple chicken sandwich, I was instructed to pull up and wait for what was promised to be a brief 7 minutes. Little did I know, those 7 minutes would stretch into an excruciatingly long 37-minute wait. To their credit, the staff did attempt to compensate for the extended delay by offering me a complimentary large fries. However, no amount of fries could make up for the frustration of waiting nearly 40 minutes for a single sandwich. It's clear that Wendy's needs to improve their efficiency and preparation, ensuring that such lengthy delays are not a common occurrence. While the gesture of offering fries was appreciated, it's ultimately the timely service and quality of food that matter most. Hopefully, steps will be taken to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future. read more

Quick meal while driving? Why not? I don't know about the rest of y'all out there, but I'm getting tired of the fast food drive thru game. I have become too dependent on it over the last year, as I think most of us have. It is convenient and all, but my waist line is telling a very different story here. I pulled up, was greeted by the employee manning the drive thru. I asked for a second to go over the menu so I knew what I wanted and would be car friendly for the drive home. I finally make a decision and order. Pull around, pay, and just wait for my food to be prepared. I have to say, even with the uptick of people using the drive thru, they are truly on top of the game. Very fast, had my order in under ten minutes, and the best part about it all, it was all correct, not a single mistake made. I am a huge fan of Wendy's All Natural Lemonade, could drink that by the gallon. Everything was hot and fresh, including the fries. I basically ate the whole meal while I was driving home. I visited this restaurant on Wednesday at early lunchtime. I was traveling so I decided to stretch my legs and go inside and get my order. Mistake! I've never witnessed any other fast food restaurant so unorganized. It took twenty minutes to get my $5 biggie bag, I had one customer in front of me that ordered nuggets and a drink. Stopped in for a quick bite on the way home and got exactly that. The drive thru had a few people in it, but we zoomed through with no issues. The burgers were delicious, but the fries were starting to go cold. Super close to the turn pike exit so it's easy to get off, grab your meal, and get back on. A welcome change from eating at the repetitive, and often disappointing, chains inside the Turnpike service plazas. read more

We went through the drive-thru and ordered three burgers, two fries, and two drinks. The order was ready within a couple of minutes and was accurate. Prices, of course, are fairly low. The food tasted as expected. I did not like how the employee's mask did not cover her nose, and a customer with no mask walked inside the business. I know that Somerset does not have many cases of COVID-19, but this business is right near the turnpike with out-of-state travelers, so employees should be more careful. I drove through on Thursday before my chiropractor appt. I got a Frosty, French fries, and a large unsweetened tea. Got to the window. Paid. Asked for sweetener. She told me to pull up and wait for it. I said nevermind. It was odd no one was behind me and normally they just grab sweetener? So I pull into a spot and add the sweetener I keep in my purse. I shouldn't have bothered. It was terrible. I couldn't even drink it. Something was seriously wrong with the tea. Wendy's usually has pretty goof tea! Then I tried the frostie. This one was special. It came with lumps. Yuck! Anyway ... the fries were good.. not sure what they had going on. But what a mess! read more

First, we are locals and are not frequent fast food consumers. However, this is our go-to fast food in Somerset. Even with the decline in "fast" food service in recent years, Wendy's never disappoints. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is appealing, fresh, and delicious every time. Service: This Wendy's location was spot on with their service. We came in with around 40 children as we are on a group trip, and they did an excellent job serving us quickly and as kindly as possible. Food Quality: The quality of the food at this location was just like your average Wendy's. Though there is not much to say about it, it was a nice little stop for our group. The fries were okay and my crispy chicken sandwich was slightly sloppy though nothing too much I can complain about. They also did not include as much sauce as I would've liked for my nuggets, but it was enough to get by on. Environment: The environment of the Wendy's was also pretty average for a Wendy's. It was a clean location with decent bathrooms. The only complaint about the bathrooms that one may have is the awkward location for the urinal as well as there only being one of them. The same could be said about the single stall as well. Overall, this was one of the better Wendy's I have been to. Quick, kind workers who take their job as seriously as a fast food worker can, and it was a nice location to settle down and enjoy a cheap meal at. read more

Do NOT eat here- they are horrible- slow, inaccurate service served with a side of mocking. Apparently the girl taking our order- her name is Allison- she has a bad blonde dye job coupled with the most unfortunate black eyeliner- found it funny to mock my order - whilst my daughter witnessed. Nice. Stay away- far away- it's not worth the subpar food to be SERVED by inept personnel. The food was okay, but this establishment is being run down I'm afraid. The young man who took our order gave us kid's size cups instead of small, which isn't that bad because I'm trying to watch my figure. There were no napkins and all of the garbages needed changes, overflowing to the brim! My husband said he thinks the staff were "toasted" as the younguns say, and while we're 420 friendly, it is simply unprofessional. There was garbage all over the floor as well. Nice staff though. Not a bad Wendy's. The service was good as they were very fast getting the whole group in. I was surprised how fast it was actually. The food could have a been a bit better since my burger was very small unlike others before it. The seating was nice as like a typical Wendy's. The bathrooms were some what clean and they were oddly shaped. This was a overall fast a decent Wendy's that I would recommend. read more

PSA for all patrons with an infant/toddler: This appears to be a new Wendy's restaurant, but it has NO changing table in the restrooms. Apparently a gas fireplace and "lounge" chairs are more important. read more

This is one of my favorite spots to stop and eat for lunch. I used to work for a different Wendy's store, so I was surprised on how much the food improved. It's not the greatest Wendy's, and it seems they are slow when you are in a hurry. However, the food is good. Some staff need a personality, but considering where they work, it could be worse. read more

Whoever made the Chicken Asiago sandwich medium meal and single s'awesome sandwich meal with the large fry... omg. The best Wendy's I've ever had. So fresh and hot! Delicious! Wouldn't recommend for folks who need a changing table - none onsite, which was very surprising. Too bad, because otherwise it was clean, food was quick, and service friendly. Would be easy enough to install changing tables in both women's and men's bathrooms. read more

We stopped by on the Sunday after Thanksgiving and it was packed! Despite the long lines, orders were taken quickly and food was provided quickly as well. Even more impressive, several staff members were on constant cleanup duty, and wiping down tables as soon as they were vacated. Usually when a fast food restaurant is busy there is trash littered everywhere and it's impossible to find a clean table, but this place was spotless! They also had a young woman dressed as "Wendy" who was not only extremely cheerful in greeting customers. she was also helping out with cleaning up tables and picking up things off the floor. They had me pull up to wait for my food for about a minute and the woman who gave me the food was also very kind. The food was hot and fresh and definitely hit the spot. This Wendy's is not big on accuracy. About a month ago I got three value meals at the drive thru. When I got home I realized I was missing all of the fries. Now I will take responsibility for not checking at the restaurant, but after driving 17 miles to get home, I was not about to drive back. I notified the restaurant. No reply. I notified the corporate office. No reply. I was not asking for or expecting anything free. I just wanted what I paid for. To this day, no reply from their corporate office or the store itself. I think that is extremely poor customer service. I will not go back. Once before I was jipped. Now it has happened twice. I won't be fooled again. Avoid this restaurant or at the very least, inspect your order very carefully, as they will not make it right after the fact. read more

We are frequent traveler's on the Pennsylvania Turnpike and have stopped at this particular store before. It always looks in need of a facelift, but this time I used the bathroom facilities first. No toilet paper in the women's restroom is bad, but no soap in the dispenser (it was completely dry) is just plain disgusting -- employees would have to use this facility as well as customers . We chose (and will continue to choose) to eat elsewhere. read more

Probably one of the OLDEST looking Wendy's I've ever been to. The food was ok, nothing spectacular. One of my pet peeves at Wendy's is when they don't salt their fries enough and this place is a culprit. As other reviewers have said, the bathrooms are very small and not very clean. All of this combined makes me think of an owner who doesn't put back into the business what he/she takes out of it. Even the order/cash registers are the old school "green" letter type (think Oregon Trail if you're old enough to remember that masterpiece). I'd probably avoid this place again. read more

Stopped here for an ice cream and restroom break for the kids during a road trip. I've been in gas station restrooms that are cleaner - these restrooms seriously smelled like urine. A lot. The apathetic teenagers that run the place didn't seem to mind, though. Steer clear. read more

Took the time to put croutons in my vanilla frosty, but could not throw in a couple packets of saltines to bring life to my chili. Appreciate the care given to ensure my frosty had a grotesquely seductive texture, but I would have appreciated that care more if it had been done for my chili. read more

I was brought up believing that Wendy's was a sacred place for friends and family to get together and enjoy life. However, it has become evident that this location has brought nothing but shame and misery to the Wendy's name. To begin with, waiting for your requested food items takes an everlasting eternity. I was able to feel the sands of time slowly picking away at the lives we choose to live as my food was being prepared. The payoff was just as soul-crushing. The sandwich was hastily put together, with only the most minuscule bits of bacon (I had chosen to order the Son of Baconator) and cheese that seems to have been refrigerated for over fifty moons. I was thrust into a state of depression by simply looking at the thing. Aside from the food, there is a complete ignorance of sanitation and cleanliness. It would not be ill-conceived to say that simply setting foot on the floor leaves you vulnerable to a variety of lethal illnesses. Overall, if Wendy wishes to do this world justice, she should look into the removal of this vile location from our world. read more

We've always appreciated the genuinely friendly and conscientious staff at this particular Wendy's and now the building itself is up to the same excellent standards. The entire facility has been updated with a fresh, clean, modern look and feel. Bathrooms are now handicap accessible. There's a Tesla charging station in the rear of the parking lot. What more could you ask for during a trip across the Pennsylvania turnpike? read more

Wendy's has really stepped it up lately. Fresh Cheeseburgers with real Bacon, and fresh vegetables! Their Fries are really good too. I wouldn't even call them Fast Food anymore, and they are the only ones in town that actually have fresh cooked food. I ate there last night and everything was great! read more
