Absolutely terrible experience. The food came out undercooked and raw, which is completely unacceptable. When I tried to bring it up, the staff was rude and dismissive instead of trying to fix the problem. I was at the Sterling, IL location about 30 min ago and used the drive up. The young girl who was on that was extremely quiet and I asked her to repeat herself and I still could not hear her. When I pulled round to the window, she was rude, didn't smile, didn't great me, and was still hard to hear. My food was cold, I had the potato wedges and a bacon and egg sandwich. I came home and reheated it. I typically go to the Dixon location as I work in Dixon and have never had any of those issues. I will not be going to that location again, no matter how convenient it is. I will go out of my way or spend more money to go someplace else. read more

Food wasn't bad but the service and dining room are just awful. There was so much yelling from the kitchen it sounded like a fight making everyone in the dining room uncomfortable. There was actual MOLD growing on the wood on the booths from constant water dripping from the ceiling. There were so many leaks and it wasn't even raining. Part of the ceiling looked as if it was just about to collapse. The health department needs to be called in. That can't be healthy. The ordering line moves very slowly and gets backed up real fast. Parking is horrible, you get trapped by the ever growing drive through line. Getting out on the street again is taking your life in your own hands. read more

I asked for salt and pepper and instead of putting it in the bag he handed it to me through the window of which I dropped inside the car. Top tip: avoid the drive-thru. Of all the fast food places in the area, this one is notorious for mixing and mashing orders. Fries are almost always cold, and the attitudes sting. I would recommend going inside to eat. Service isn't the quickest, but if something is wrong, you can tell them right away. The booths by the windows opposite the front counter fill up the quickest. This fast food restaurant is the worst in the Sterling-Rock Falls area. Twice in the past month we had NEGATIVE experiences. The first time I was not able to get a salad, any salad, because they "didn't have time to make them this morning because we're short." That's nothing new Last weekend, the family placed an order for 2 large Bacinator meals were ordered through the drive-thru. Guess a single patty sandwich and a double patty on the other is the new large. Sadly, the food was cold. I was finally able to get a salad, kind of. The tomatoes in it were rotten! Will not visit again! My kids and I stopped in for a quick bite that turned into 40 minutes of waiting and wrong food. The kids food was ok, but I ordered an original chicken sandwich but when we walked out it was the spicy chicken and it was as hard as a rock. I actually wrote to the company about how horrible my experience has been here. They screwed up my order every time I go there-and I always order the same thing. One time they even forgot to take my money in drive thru, Free food is fine with me. The manager emailed me back to state that he was aware of the issues with his restaurant. Our Fraternal group meets at the Sterling, Il Wendy's on East Lincolnway 3 times a month! We have been doing this for about 4 months in 2018.We started holding activities at Sterling facility, back in 2017. We also meet at other fast food restaurants, but our members appear to enjoy the variety menu selection and afforable prices at this restaurant best! Staff at all facilities that we attend, have always been friendly to our members and guests. Our members range in age from toddlers to youth, adults and elderly. They all have indicated they love the large selection, and a good value price, options for those that like/need a healthier choice, to those of us who like the fast food choices! Staff have always been very friendly an helpful . If there is a miscommunication, they correct it immediately; and with a smile and no attitude. They have a senior lady who keeps the place spick an span, and have seen her bring in decorative items to make it a festive look for everyone to enjoy! We will continue to go to Wendy's on Lincolnway in Sterling, Sometimes we have 20+ up to nearly 100 people attend. We usually attend on weekdays, Mon, Tues, and Wednesdays. We always purchase gift cards to use as door prizes when we attend. Helps both our members and the establishment .
