We pulled into Wendy's with four kids who had officially crossed into hangry territory. At that point, this wasn't about options. It was about speed. I don't usually do Wendy's, but this was exactly the kind of situation it's built for. Order, wait a few minutes, feed everyone, restore order to the group. Inside was what you'd expect. Nothing remarkable, nothing off-putting. It was reasonably clean, the line moved, and the staff kept things moving without any issues. Food came out right, no mix-ups, which is really all you can ask for when you've got a small crowd and zero patience left. The food itself was standard. It did the job. Nobody's talking about it afterward, but nobody's complaining either. The kids were happy, which was the whole point. Three stars feels right. I stopped by this Wendy's (Tusayan, Arizona) for lunch with my daughter while we were on our way to the Grand Canyon, and we had a "very good" experience while we were here. My daughter and I had just left the McDonald's across the street, and she was disappointed there because she could not find any food items on their menu that were gluten free. After arriving at this Wendy's, we found the landscaping to be beautiful, clean, and well kept. The entrance was inviting as well. After entering this location, we glanced through their menu on one of their kiosks and my daughter was happy to find a few options available for her. She ordered a large Parmesan Caesar salad with chicken, a baked potato and a caramel vanilla frosty. I ordered a junior cheeseburger meal deal with a junior cheeseburger, junior fries, 4-piece chicken nuggets, and a Dr. Pepper. I looked around in the dining area while I waited for our order. The inside was well decorated and extremely clean, and the windows allowed for a pleasant amount of natural light inside. The menus above the cashiers were nicely displayed for customers that would prefer to order without the kiosk. All the employees here appeared to be working efficiently and professionally. Our order was ready in just a few minutes. We decided to dine inside, and I'm glad we did because of how pleasant the dining area was. There were only a small number of customers inside while we were here so the ambient noise in the dining area was low for my daughter and I to have a nice conversation while we ate. Most importantly, our meals were delicious. If you're in the area and ready for a meal, Wendy's is economical with lots of great options. This is the standard Wendy's menu. Burgers are good. If you want a quick lunch Wendy's is sooo much better than the Mc no employees across the street. I walked into Wendy's and two cashiers were there along with a third counter person waiting to help me. Last night we got into the drive thru line at 7:45. By the time we got to the window. They said they were closed. Extremely rude staff and bunch of hungry kids unfed leaving us with very little choices in the area to eat. Someone should have cut the drive thru line off but instead telling us after waiting for an extreme amount of time in the drive thru line is absolutely unacceptable. When I was an elementary school kiddo I could eat my grandma's saimin. She was a nurse but could sure cook. Hubs is like that for hamburgers so he was happy to have Wendy's for one out of 14 meals. We don't have Wendy's in our immediate neighborhood so I'm Wendy's deprived. I remember Yelp friend Kathy A post about frosty. When the free red Yelp item popped up we gave that to hubs. During a road trip to the Grand Canyon we stopped in for a quick bite to eat. The food was the same standard and quality as any Wendy's, not bad. We ordered a biggie bag, cheeseburger combo, salad and small chicken sando total was about $33 higher than a regular Wendy's due to the location. The service was warm and friendly, I would stop here again. It's a family friendly establishment with fast food and clean restrooms. read more

We were in a hurry, so swung through this restaurant for a quick meal. Been curious about the new Takis Fuego meal, so decided to try that. Yikes! The chicken sandwich was probably the worst I've ever had in every way - undersized chicken portion, very few topping, overall soggy, AND a long hair running through the middle. My wife got a standard burger meal WITH a long hair running through her fries. (Hair must have been on special this day.) Service was quick and convenient and the price was (relatively) cheap for this area. We wish we would have waited longer for a more expensive meal - which we will do in the future. Got our take out orders wrong 2 out of 2 times, and manager Christian Saucedo is particularly abhorrent to deal with. The first order they forgot my son's milk for his kids meal. The second time they gave my husband the wrong dressing for his salad after I confirmed 3 times about the dressing he should receive due to his allergies. They also left off the pecans from my apple pecan salad, and both of the topping containers they gave us were expired. When I went back for a refund later that night Christian refused to do anything about it, while he said he remembered me from an hour prior and recalled me confirming 3 times about the dressing, without a receipt he would not issue any refund. When I pressed to Talk to a supervisor he took out his phone and said he was calling the police. I was never aggressive or violent, it was an insane response from him. I asked a woman at the cashier booth what his name was to report him to corporate and he pointed his finger in my face and leaned forward in my face and yelled at me "don't you ever speak to my employees again, you are not to ever speak to anyone here!!" There aren't that many food choices near the Grand Canyon. FACTS! So we had to be resourceful and that meant hitting up everyone's friend, Wendy's! Luckily they had fresh salads on their menu. The Southwest Chicken Avocado salad was pretty decently good considering what else is around the area at $7.99. Some pro tips: - Download the Wendy's app because you get $2 off if you order a salad. Only problem was that the store is having problems with their router so they can't accept app coupons. I haggled with the cashier and got 10% off and a free cookie... oh well, I wish I got $2 off but whatever. - Show your Yelp for 1 free junior frostee. I wish I saw this so I could have dessert! Last Wendy experience was not good but not many places this close to Grand Canyon and we where hangry. So we gave this restaurant a try. Used drive through and shared Cobb salad, fry's, and a burger. We were surprised by the hot fresh food and great service. Salad fresh with all the elements of a Cobb salad topped with hot grilled chicken. Burger cooked fresh with nice toppings. This place was just awful. The men's stall lock is busted with a gaping hole, they claim that they take pride in their cleanliness but they're bathrooms trashes were filled and there was paper towels on the ground. They were out of forks, lids, cups, and multiple drink choices. The sprite tasted like their was cigarette butts in them and the normal Coke tasted like crap. I had a fry that was just an uncooked potato wedge and also had an under cooked buffalo chicken nugget. I walked in not expecting much since every Wendy's i've been to is bad but this was way lower than I could've ever expected. It was extremely under whelming even with my previously low expectations. Let's start with the food. For a simple burger they were over cooked and very dry. I'd rather go outback and eat the gravel and sand bet it would be more flavor and somehow not as dry. Although fries were good. Secondly the soda - this soda (dr pepper) was very flat. Thirdly the service - the lady up front wearing no gloves had more dirt under a single fingernail than the whole Grand Canyon had in the bottom of it. Forth - first time I seen a Wendy's without there drive through open. Lastly- the bathroom (women's) was so beyond filthy there was used tampon wrappers every where. The one toilet seat was not even attached. Looks like someone brushed there dog in the sink. Was so bad my girl literally picked because of the filth. I seen the neighboring resultant had awful reviews so figured we just grab something quick at Wendy's. Would have rather left the other place that supposedly did not have editable food than come back here. This place sucks. Do not eat here if you value your own life. Gross. read more

The Grand Canyon park has minimal food offerings. Tusayan, located just outside the gates, has grown in recent years. This Wendy's was drive-through only, which was fine by us, and we had extraordinary timing with a short line. Our food was ready when we reached the window. Wow. Doesn't get any worse than my visit to this Wendy's today. I get having to to not have your drive through open because you are short staffed but, what excuse do you have for serving terrible food? I never leave a picture but, after not being able to get half of my Asiago chicken sandwich eaten, I had to. I watched as they messed up the two orders ahead of me and scrambled to fix them. I guess it's hard to get the right baked potato for the right order! The HC ran out while I was waiting. I ordered a large and noticed in my receipt that it said 'medium'. If I hadn't caught it, I would have waited 20 minutes and not have gotten what I wanted. Mine was also the last baked potato they had as they were yelling it back and forth from the register to the kitchen. So unprofessional. Complete fluster 'f'. Please everyone SAVE YOUR MONEY and buy fun snacks to take with you to the Grand Canyon! This Wendy's is the only fast food 5 minutes away from the South Entrance Grand Canyon. Normally a Jr Bacon Cheese Burger is $1.59 in most places, but this inflated Wendy's definitely lemon squeezes anything out of you. It was a little over $3.50 for one measly Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger. Although service was nice, it's just not an ideal place to eat.. You're better off going to the gas station and buying snacks that'll last you throughout the hikes!! read more

In this town, food aint made to be enjoyed. It's made to pick the pockets of the tourists who have no where else to go. That said, this Wendy's is pretty solid. The service was fast and the food tasted like regular fast food. It was marked up to take advantage of the demand, but not nearly as much as McDonalds. To be fair I have not tried many of the other places around town, but I have heard that many of the sub-three star establishments are just as overpriced and low-quality if not worse. Don't judge me! We were looking for some cheap eats. Everything around here is expensive. And this wasn't dinner. Normally I would never eat here. Fries were good. I'll give them that. Still had the skin on, which is how it should be. I did not try the salad, but everyone else seemed to like the Southwest salad. Seemed fresh. The chili was barely adequate. The burger was kinda nasty. Supposed to be fresh 100% beef, and maybe it is. But it still wasn't good. I should have known better. The chicken nuggets would have been a better choice. The craft sodas were good. Real sugar, so they told me. Staff was fine. Helpful and friendly. Compared to other burger places Wendy's is mediocre. So many better choices, though not in Tusayan. Maybe avoid the burger and you'll be ok. I'm giving 3 stars for the sodas, the fresh salad, and the chicken nuggets. A very weak three stars, and also taking into consideration that the only other burger place here is McD's, which doesn't have chili and their fries are skinless. read more

Hot Fresh spicy nuggets with sauce & a spicy chicken sandwich. Drive thru was FAST. They had me pull forward for fresh food & brought it out to the car. Order was correct with napkins & condiments. The -1 star is the tomato in my sandwich had hard parts that I pulled out while chewing but the chicken sandwich itself was really good & fresh. Yes we know this whole area is overpriced but if you don't have a lot of time and there are hungry kids in the car, ones that can't wait over an hour driving out to get food and others who don't want a burger, there's Wendy's in this town right out of Grand Canyon. It serves its purpose even though it's priced couple dollars over what a usual Wendy's would charge however I heard the McDonald's across the street was worse charging triple the amount. Really wish this whole place can be fairer in its price but oh well. People keep coming and they have to eat in or out of the park :/ Cool elk sighting though in front of here. It just crossed the street to go to McDonald's and all traffic stopped to allow it to cross. Other than that nothing too interesting here at Wendy's. Wish I can say more.
