We walked inside this restaurant to place an order in the dining room when a lady who appeared to be the manager rudely told us that the dining room was closed due to short staff. There was no sign outside indicating that the inside of the restaurant was closed and there were other patrons inside eating. We went through the drive thru but the order screen was black and no one answered. A staff member took our order when we got to the main window and asked us to wait near the entrance door for them to bring us our food. After waiting for over 15 minutes an employee came out and questioned whether we had paid for our meal and asked that we provide them with the receipt. The employee brought the receipt inside and left us waiting for another 10 minutes before we received our food. When the food finally came out our drinks were missing. Altogether we spent over 45 minutes trying to pick up what is supposed to be some FAST food. We were not offered any apology or compensation for the abysmal treatment we received. This restaurant likely only survives because it is the only drive thru option near the Grand Canyon and one of few restaurants in the area. read more

Where to start... 1. There is a sign that says exact change or card. No change given "sorry" - seems like a scam or laziness to me. There are no banks in town? 2. Ice was on the floor for over 15 minutes before someone was sent out with a mop after multiple complaints. There was over a dozen people including small children trying to use the two fountain machines (1 of which was broken). 3. I ordered a large caramel cold brew lite ice, double with cheese, no onion to go and had to repeat the order three times because the manager taking my order kept getting confused. 4. When I received my order the other manager seemed annoyed when I told him I asked for lite ice (ice filled 2/3 of the cup). 5. I noticed the drink station supplies like lids, napkins and straws was either empty or very low. One of the managers seemed annoyed when this was pointed out to her. 6. I checked my burger at my car and noticed I received a single,not the double I paid for. I had to waste more time for them to get it right. The service here after 6 was absolutely appalling. If I could give this place less than one star, I would. My fiancé and I waited for a half an hour to place an order. This I didn't mind so much, because I figured that they were a little understaffed and the park just emptied... Until we got up to the front and realized that there were six people working at the time, and they were moving at a glacially slow pace. They didn't seem to care at all that there were more than a dozen people in line. Then I try to order a salad combo and the lady tells me that I can't. It says so right on their sign! But apparently not. So I order my salad, fiancé gets his combo... Thank goodness I checked the bag before we left, they didn't put his fries in the bag. And then I get back to our hotel room to discover that my bag contains the worst salad I have ever been served. Lettuce was wilted, and the tomatoes were so past ripe that they had burst. It is only 40 minutes from the closest nearest highway, therefore they must charge you 30% more for your square hamburger. Thank goodness for this Wendy's because there aren't many good options in the Grand Canyon area. You can't go wrong with a burger/sandwich and frosty. The staff were all very nice too. Stopover for a quick brunch and I loveeeeee the salad! It comes with big chunks of strawberries, bacons and chicken meat! Didn't expect to have a pretty looking and yummy bowl of salad here at Wendy! 8/10. The home style chicken burger is very plain, bun with chicken meat and a piece of lettuce that's all. Stopped here on our way out of town and when I opened my mini baconator down the road, a long, curly, blonde or white hair was sticking out of my burger. How they didn't at least notice it while wrapping it up is beyond me. When we brought it back, not one person apologized. They honestly made me feel a little uncomfortable bringing it back, like I was supposed to eat it anyway or something. Just asked if I would like it remade. When you're charging $13 for a burger meal that would cost me several dollars less literally anywhere else in the state, I feel like I can at least bring it back if it has a foot long hair in it and I can at least be apologized to. What if I would have eaten that, pulled it out of my mouth, and gotten sick? I almost didn't even want to eat the remade one because of how little it felt like they cared, but there's not much else around and I didn't want to spend even more money just to eat. Really disappointing and disgusting. We were super hungry after the Grand Canyon and decided to get Wendy's before continuing our roadtrip into the night. It's much more expensive here but kind of makes sense because of the location. What is usually a $17 meal was closer to $30. However, to charge THAT much means the order should at least be right. We got two combos. Spicy chicken nuggets and a single "the Dave" burger, and a jr bacon cheeseburger. They charged for a double burger for the Dave when we ordered a single, but fine, extra meat! No big. But then they served a single we overpaid for. The jr bacon burger did not have bacon. We did get the spicy chicken nuggets, but ONE was a regular chicken nugget, which is pretty funny, actually. Everything tasted good, just wasn't what we ordered. And we know other orders were wrong because a lady walked up to the drive through to correct her order (inside dining closed for Covid, understandable) Yikes. I am surprised by how dead the culinary scene is near the grand canyon. Despite the numerous influx of people flying from all over the world for this American iconic national park, we serve the American people and foreigners complete crap. I've eaten three meals at the strip of restaurants in the grand canyon village and Wendy's is by far the best choice. That should say something, right? The price is not too overpriced like Mcdonalds and the food not too blend like Plaza Bonita. The staff at Wendy's was really nice and brought our food out to us. I ran into one of the Wendys staff in the bathroom and he thought I was waiting for the bathroom stall and offered to let me cut in front of him. Hahah. We stopped here on our way to the GCNP. The options for food were slim, so we caved in and stopped here. I ordered the new mozzarella grilled sandwich, kids had a chicken wrap and hubby had a chicken sandwich as well. My Sprite tasted as if the machine was running out of the syrup that makes the drink. The fries were super, super salty!! My mozzarella sandwich was gross and looked slapped together. I haven't had Wendy's in about 8 years and this just reminded me why. The food is okay, but we had many problems getting it. We came for breakfast, one sandwich we customized asking for a round egg instead of scrambled. Instead of swapping it with the default eggs, they charged us extra for it and put it on the side and told us to put it on instead. I've never heard this before. Next is the sandwiches are advertised with Swiss cheese, we opened all four burgers expecting this, with no cheese to be found. We go back to the window and tell them so they could put a slice on them, only to be told they don't have Swiss cheese they only have cheese sauce. Cheese sauce? It looked like they put the tiniest bit of mayonnaise on it and that's it. I don't know how they pass that off as the Swiss cheese on their breakfast sandwiches. For several very basic reasons I rarely write Yelp reviews on Wendy's, McD's and their ilk. First, it has been at least 3 years since I've eaten in a burger chain location. Second, there usually isn't a dime's worth of difference between a Wendy's location in Fort Lauderdale, versus one in Seattle-- or on Jupiter for that matter. Finally, the dining experience rarely justifies the pixels lost in the name of a digital review. The Tuscayan Wendy's property likely changes that paradigm. It may very well be the closest eatery to a "fine dining" standard in this high-traffic tourist town. (Pausing for a moment to digest just how sad a commentary this realization represents.) Although the food quality is (well) Wendy's, location and limited alternatives conspire to make this a more-expensive-than-normal Wendy's. Further, their menu is considerably limited. More typically Wendy's, we found the counter help to be "slow," and their service to be slower. The chicken club sandwich was eatable, if not completely palatable, and there didn't seem to be anything wrong with the fountain Diet Coke. I'm obviously grateful for small favors here. As with so much of this area, unless you walk through the door with the mindset of your "happy place--" something that the Grand Canyon provides in abundance-- you're not likely to leave here satisfied with your dinner. read more

This is a place attracting domestic and international tourists alike. And what does Tusayan have to offer these world travelers, as far as culinary delights go? Wendy's. Dear god. After reading the TripAdvisor/Yelp reviews, we knew (sadly) that Wendy's was our best bet. We walked in, only to be faced with the longest line I've ever encountered in a fast food restaurant. We waited in line for 20 minutes to order our spicy-chicken combos. Food was fresh and predictable. Prices were higher than your average Wendy's, but that wasn't a surprise. We actually came back here our second night, much to our chagrin. The line was equally long. This is a popular place. We ordered the chilil. I was actually really surprised how good the chili is! Make sure to order it with cheese and onions, and get the packets of red sauce to throw in there. I can't believe I'm reviewing a Wendy's. However, I would eat there all over again if I ever returned to Tusayan. However, the best Grand Canyon eating options are actually inside the National Park. And there's a pretty damn nice grocery store where we bought cheese, cold cuts, fruit and crackers. read more

You're at the Grand Canyon, and if you've read the Yelp reviews for your other choices, you know they all SUCK. We were craving fresh salads and figured the only place in town that would have decent ones is a major fast food chain with a rock solid distribution network. That meant either Wendy's or McDonald's. We tried Wendy's because it was on the right side of the road. My wife and I were totally shocked. The apple salad we each had, with chicken, blue cheese, pecans, and craisins, was DELICIOUS. Seriously tasty. So tasty in fact we almost came back for dinner too! My only ding was the chicken breast was incredibly salty. Other than that, it was the best salad I ate all week. read more

Well, Wendy's is the best you can do, and considering how immensely often Wendy's has saved my life on the road, I think I have to be eternally grateful. We saw the most beautiful sunset at the Grand Canyon and had a 4 1/2 hour drive in front of us, so we were sufficiently hungry. Wendy's managed to deliver a short line, friendly people and a good meal. Best of all, we wanted a salad and their apple pecan salad felt like nothing less than a revelation. Perhaps I am biased towards sweet salads, but the combination of a bit of lettuce, slightly sour apples, pecans, cranberries and pomegranate vinaigrette was exactly what we needed. As previous reviewers have already said, this place deserves 5 stars not because the food is oh-so-amazing (although it comes quite close for a fast food place) but because people really should eat here when coming out of the Grand Canyon. read more

This is probably one of the few places where you can get food without being ripped off near the Grand Canyon. While the quality of food here (or Wendys in general) alone won't warrant 4 stars, the relatively bleaker options offered by other restaurants in the area plus the Wifi service (if your mobile provider doesn't have a signal here like mine) definitely justifies the higher rating. If you don't trust the restaurants in the area or in the park, then come here. You won't be getting the food and service you'd expect at a 4-5 star restaurant but your experience won't be that different than at most Wendy's around the country. read more

I wasn't feeling well today. We are at a hotel nearly and I wanted a baked potato with sour cream only. My husband went thru the drive through. He said he stressed sour cream but no chives. He ordered a potato with bacon and cheese. He saw the order on the screen correctly written. He just brought my potato with no chives but also no SOUR CREAM! He offered to go back but that's ridiculous. Do I want them to feel bad about it? Pretty much, yes. Sorry Wendy's. Gotta do your job. read more
