We were initially referred to Hector (owner) & his team by our pool builder (JM Pools) to do all the masonry, tile, decking, lighting, plants, etc. In the pool building world, there's so many horror stories about going over budget, prolonged waiting, expectations vs reality, etc. We didn't experience any of that working with Hector. Quite the opposite. We came in exactly on budget, finished earlier than expected, & we are absolutely thrilled with the results. I had a decent idea of what I wanted but Hector gave excellent suggestions on multiple design choices. I'm pretty picky when it comes to details & Hector never steered us wrong. His guys were always on time, very polite, never left work unfinished, & were genuinely talented at their craft. We had them provide an estimate for everything we wanted done: 1) custom cabinets and countertop and shelves for a custom bar in our butlers pantry 2) custom cabinets and countertop in our laundry room 3) custom countertop for a bathroom vanity 4) replacement matching cabinet face for a built in microwave install Justin Veale came over and measured and spoke to us to figure out he quote. Quote came in at a very reasonable cost and lower than a couple other quotes we got. We approved the quote and moved forward. It took about 6 weeks once ordered to be ready for installation. Installation took a half a day. Everything came out just perfect! They even installed my laundry room sink while there for a little extra $$. We would definitely recommend them for any jobs you need done especially if you need to match some existing cabinets. Our new cabinets matched perfectly with what was already there.

The job involved covering up an unused fireplace without destroying it (in case some future owner wants the fp back). At the same time, we were having a new floor installed and getting the whole house painted. Justin began when he said he would, worked with the floor contractor and the painters, and built this beautiful cabinet with extra storage space and a way to hide all the equipment. He and Jay were easy to deal with, responded promptly, and did a terrific job for a very reasonable price. I would recommend VFT to anyone who needs custom cabinetry!

Contrary to his own interests, Mr. French advised us not to do the job as the wood was rotten and it would have been a waste of money. His honesty cost him a job, but we were so impressed with his integrity, we filed his information away just in case we ever needed his services again. In November of this year, to our horror, we discovered a major termite infestation all around our front porch. It was so bad, the structural integrity of our porch was compromised and was going to require a complete rebuild. Remembering the positive experience we had had with Mr. French the year before, we gave him a call to bid the job. Although we had to wait several weeks to get started because of his work load, it turned out to be well worth the wait. Our project could not have gone better. From beginning to end it was smooth and problem free. Mr. French does the work himself along with his son Andrew. They have a wonderful relationship and they clearly enjoyed being able to work together. They showed up like clockwork every day at the same time, and other than their lunch period, worked hard and consistently all day long. There was no wasted time. They didn't have to keep running out to buy supplies they had forgotten. From start to finish, they were very efficient. Their work product was truly amazing and looks better than what the original home builder did when the house was first built. Because of our concern for future termite issues, they engineered my porch in such a way that another infestation will be far less likely. Their solution to a particular problem was genius. We were very impressed. It showed that they weren't here to simply rebuild my porch, but to help us avoid future problems as well. We really appreciate this extra level of service as it went well beyond what one might expect from a contractor. Over the week that our project took to complete we grew to enjoy their company and now view them as our friends. Both Mr. French and his son are honest, ethical and very personable. They are talented, old school craftsmen. In so many projects my wife and I have done in the past, the workers never appreciated it when you brought anything up that you wanted fixed or changed. They just wanted to get in, get their money and get out. Mr. French and his son could not have been more gracious and promptly and enthusiastically addressed every issue that came up. We are not easy people to work for as both my wife and I are perfectionists, but it never became an issue as both Mr. French and his son were so anxious to please us and leave us satisfied with the whole experience. I simply cannot say enough good things about Christopher French Construction. THEY are what you hope to get when you hire a contractor. They did excellent work. Their prices are reasonable. They were neat. They clearly respected our home and possessions. At the end of each day, they did such a thorough cleanup job, you would have never known they were even there. It was as painless a construction experience as we've ever had. Reading this rave review one might think that I am Mr. French's mother, friend or family member, or worse, Mr. French himself, but prior to my first contact with him last year, I had never met any of them before. I had no affiliation with him, his company or his family. Recently a sprinkler pipe burst in my garage that shares a wall with our living room causing water…read moreto severely damage drywall, paint, and flooring in our living room. On a word or mouth recommendation I contact Matt from WhiteHouse Builders and I cannot explain enough how glad I made that call. Within hours of contacting and speaking with Matt directly he showed up with his project manager Tyler and group of guys to quickly assist. He immediately began to take pictures of the damage, take measurements and reading on dry wall saturation, and then quickly got to work and cut out the saturated drywall pieces to mitigate potential greater damage and prevent mold. Matt then explained the entire process of working directly with our insurance company to ensure that restoration caused by the water damage would be taken care of promptly, professionally, and to the highest standards. Matt and his crew were literally with me every step of the way and made it so easy to not have to deal with an adjuster and/or numerous companies and vendors to complete the damage mitigating and restoration. Matt and his team were the only call I had to make; he and his full team were able to address every aspect of getting my home back whole again. The day the adjuster came to our home Matt and Tyler were there to meet and provided the insurance adjuster a detailed assessment and estimate to remove all damaged, and to complete the entire project which included re-painting all downstairs walls to match with new paint, and the removal and installation of new flooring downstairs. Honestly, the Insurance adjuster was impressed and no doubt as a customer it was extremely valuable to have Matt and Tyler there to advocate for us as the homeowner in making sure that corners were not cut and the insurance company was not just going to cover the minimum. When the restoration began the crew was professional, punctual, and workmanship was beyond my expectation; have to see before and after pictures to appreciate the awesome work. My home no doubt was a small project for WhiteHouse Builders, however, I appreciate the attention they gave to my wife and I, which was beyond my expectations. It seems like every day Tyler and/or Matt were checking in on us and giving us updates as the project progressed. Even after the project was complete a cleaning person was sent in to tidy up the dust. Even when all work was complete Matt called us to make sure we were happy with every aspect of the work that had been completed.
