It's even handicap accessible. It's next to a little league field and has a walking path around the whole field if you enjoy walking. The only reason I give them 4 stars is because of the bathroom. They don't have a dedicated bathroom for the park, you have to walk a LONG way to the bathroom that's under the snack bar near the baseball fields. Trying to convince a toddler to leave the playground to walk that far is such a battle. If it wasn't for that I'd probably go more regularly. Winston salem needs playgrounds like this!! I enjoyed being there and don't really have any complaints -- overall it was a pretty decent park.

I was always in awe of the experience and wanting to try it. This was my first time camping. The camp grounds were clean. Our group camp site was in an extremely shaded area surrounded by trees. There are many trails here for hiking and I enjoyed this. I found a replica of an old frontier-style schoolhouse. It's what the school looked like 100 years ago. That was interesting. Since this is a camp site nothing about it was luxury of course but the most peaceful aesthetic was nature and the soothing effect the experience had on my nervous system. I brought all the things to be comfy. There were showers and decent bathrooms on the camp ground. This was less about amenities and so much more about embracing slow living. A place where no one is in a rush! The camp ground attendants were awesome. They came around daily collecting our trash. I do recommend this park for camping.

My husband…read moreand I attended the opening show of their free summer concert series, and we were in awe of how well-maintained this park is, and how organized our entire experience was. We arrived around 5:30 PM to claim our seats on the lawn, and thankfully we were able to find a parking spot right near the pedestrian bridge across the street. The city posted a very detailed map of parking options on their Instagram page ... and the amazing thing is, not only is all of that parking free, but there is a free shuttle that will take folks back and forth to their spots if they are unable to walk that far (or even if they just don't want to!) The openers started at 7 PM, and then the main act started around 8:15 PM. This gave the crowd plenty of time to get situated in their spots, grab some snacks, hit the restrooms, or even ride the carousel! This was a family-friendly outdoor concert, and they did a great job of having food/drink/activities for both kids and adults to enjoy. A glass of wine or a can of beer was just $5 each ... which felt like a steal since I'm used to spending more than double that for the same pour at other concert venues. The show itself was awesome ... we saw The Fray and they were everything we wanted them to be and more. The sound and lighting were both great. The layout of the park allowed many folks to stay in their folding chairs for the majority of the show, and still be able to see what was going on on-stage. Five stars all around for Village Park and the city of Kannapolis ... more cities should take note of what a great job they are doing here to engage their community!

This is a great park with plenty to do. Inside Dan Daniel Park you will find soccer fields,…read moresoftball fields, a skate park, a playground for the young tikes, picnic shelters for rent, the Veterans Memorial of Danville, a stretch of the Danville Riverwalk Trail and also you will find the baseball stadium for Danville's minor league baseball team the Danville Braves. The stretch of the Riverwalk Trail is really cool here. The nice paved path runs along the banks of the Dan River where you can take nice stroll on foot or by bike, the have a bike share station where you can rent a bike to ride by downloading an app on your smartphone and by following a few instructions on the app you'll be 2 wheelin' it down by the river in a jiffy. They also allow horseback riding on the Riverwalk Trail. This is a really nice oark to check out.

Safari nation was a HIT!…read more Truly a kids paradise-- Safari Nation has a lot to offer. Today's visit was our first. You're first struck in awe at this gargantuan structure you think they pulled straight out of Richie Rich's mansion. This place is flooded with pure entertainment for toddlers, kids, teenagers (and adults). My 2.5yr old spent quite a bit of time everywhere, to the tune of three hours. The toddler room was a great toe-dip into what would come next, allowing her to set her pace while playing with the rotating stations, alphabet blocks, the seesaw and teddy bear slide. Then came the gigantic playpen, a kids dream. Packing two separate sections, both accommodated with their own unique slide, for endless fun. Three levels of obstacles and circus-like contraptions made our play date one we can't forget. Arcade is modest, just enough to keep the younger children happy. Concession stand had plenty to offer.. we refueled ourselves with some goldfish and choose two flavors of the slushees. We had dinner plans but I would consider having a meal here. The zip line, bumper cars and VR experience looked cool but were not in operation. The staff was super friendly and attentive. We had such a great time, we're even adding them to the candidates for her next birthday party!
