My very first visit to Hagan-Stone park. I joined a friend and her camping group who've been camping here annually for the last 5 years. I was always in awe of the experience and wanting to try it. This was my first time camping. The camp grounds were clean. Our group camp site was in an extremely shaded area surrounded by trees. There are many trails here for hiking and I enjoyed this. I found a replica of an old frontier-style schoolhouse. It's what the school looked like 100 years ago. That was interesting. Since this is a camp site nothing about it was luxury of course but the most peaceful aesthetic was nature and the soothing effect the experience had on my nervous system. I brought all the things to be comfy. There were showers and decent bathrooms on the camp ground. This was less about amenities and so much more about embracing slow living. A place where no one is in a rush! The camp ground attendants were awesome. They came around daily collecting our trash. I do recommend this park for camping. read more

Was in town to visit another waterpark that closed due to weather. Quck pivot and came here. Pool and splash area with a slide. Cash only snack bar. Bathrooms have dressing areas. 10 minutes til the hour everyone under 18 have to get out so the lifeguards take a break. They di a good job rotating around. This park also has walking trails, picnic areas, and playgrounds. read more

Hagan-stone is a part of the excellent parks system in guilford county and it's a great place to go. It's hard to say which is the best park which is really just a sign of how great most of them are. Hagan-stone does have a lot of amenities but it's also a quiet, away from the city park as well. My kids love the playground and the pools, both of which can get busy on a nice summer day. My dog loves long walks in the woods and by the many ponds here. I haven't tried the camping but it's hugely popular here. read more

Beautiful public park. Cross Country trails. Fishing, pool, tons of picnic shelters. Can be crowded when High School events are running in the spring. Geocaching is also a fun activity in the park. read more

Nothing but good things to say about such a beautiful park as Hagan-Stone! It's not the easiest place to find, but once there, the trails are nice and clean throughout the woods! Love the place, I went here to train my body right before I thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail. I hiked just about every trail full pack. I live roughly 10 min from the park and I have took my nephew to the playground and he loved it. Gets crowded but it's expected. Also had a family reunion here back in 2002, had our on shelter! read more

This park is awesome and they have something for everyone. The children love the playground. It's nice and clean. We all love the pool, that's also nice and clean but it does get crowded. I've gone camping here as well and that was a lot of fun. I keep going back because it's that nice. read more

They have a water park,endless trails to walk on, cookout/picnic areas, a big lake and an assortment of ponds to fish in, 3 play ground areas to choose from and so much more! Lots of places to have a picnic and different trails to take. I really like the main paved road that runs through the park because it has a large shoulder if you would rather walk/jog on that. The main hiking trail is about 3 miles long, the last time I visited it needed some better signage, some forks have nothing and I have gone down the wrong path more than once, it took me about 3 visits to find the right way to do the whole thing. That's why it gets 4 stars from me. (Oh, and it needs a better trail head with a sign in) I have seen a lot of wildlife, including deer crossing in front of me on multiple occasions. Another pro is that there are so many good photo opportunities! It has a lot of old cabins, a little chapel, the ponds, and fields. It would probably be a nice place to host an entire wedding, with all of the camping space too. There are 2 big playgrounds, I don't have kids so I haven't been to them, but there are always families visiting. It seems like a very family friendly place! read more

Really peaceful area off 421. The picnic shelters are large with amazing views and bathrooms are easy to find. The restroom I visited was dated, but clean & well-lit. We found a huge open area near a lake where I walked our dog. Lots of large oak trees covered the area & kept us cool. My husband found a shady picnic table & did some sketching. We can't wait to return. read more

Nice park for cookouts, walks/hiking, family events. Nice lakes & ponds but it's difficult to catch fish, although there are plenty in the lakes. I often leave without catching anything or something too small to keep. I've fished other lakes and caught more and bigger fish. read more

We used to love Hagan Stone but every year it goes downhill. The bath houses are never clean. Now if you have to cancel or reschedule you better do it before 7 days prior because they will not give you a refund OR EVEN CREDIT TOWARDS YOUR NEXT VISIT!!!! So twice we've had to cancel due to family emergencies, and we are just out $100 for the first visit and $75 the second trip. Both times we wanted to reschedule, not cancel and we were told flat out no. The people from the tent camp section constantly cut through the sites if you're in C16-20. Tent campers have also unhooked our water so they can fill stuff, and unplugged our stuff to use the outlets in the pedestals. The sites are never clean. We have to pick up cigarette butts and bottle caps before setting up. Having one water source for every other site is aggravating, especially when other people don't understand that we have to share the water. Its hard to tell which water goes with which site. Over all we have been disappointed more every year. read more

This place is an awesome place to let your kids just run around and be free for a few hours and it's good for handicap children too

Awesome part grew a pair since I was young family loves it loves of things to do with the kids there is also places you can rent out and stay for a while lots of ponds to fish in and I have a jungle gym for the kids read more
