The second time was for a cataract consultation, when I got there for the 9:15 AM appt. I waited 40 minutes after appt. time and ask what was taking so long, they said I was next. Two more people were called, at 10:15 I ask the desk why, this is when I found out it was for a "cosmetic" consult. I said it was supposed to be for a cataract consult. At this time I ask them to cancel my appt, I was going back to Clayton Eye Center where they knew what they were doing. I don't believe the employees know what they are doing, it is chaotic. I have to travel from Jonesboro to Locust Grove, it was a waste of my time and gas. This us unacceptable for a practice that was highly recommended.

So, over a year ago (sometime in March 2021), I had my last eye appointment…read more "Stephanie" with their front office just called me to say I missed the appointment I made a year ago for today at 1:40pm, and they would have to bill me a $25 "No Show" fee. She went on to say that they called me three days ago (when, on Sunday, or Saturday? Either day, we all know it wasn't 3 days ago...just try getting your eye doctor on the phone on a weekend), but she went on to say my phone number was no good....so, I'll just have to pay the $25 AND if I'd like, I can call back tomorrow if I want to reschedule a visit (but I have to pay the fee first). Says it is "their policy" to bill all patients who don't show up for appointments a "no show" fee. Well, go ahead and bill me...you didn't have any trouble reaching me to tell me I missed the appointment and I owe you $25. When I told I would not pay it, she says - "well I'll have to turn you over to my Practice Manager". Ooooh, that's scary.
