My appointment was at 2:50 PM, and it's now 3:32. I went to the desk to ask about the delay; they simply said they're running behind. I have been going to Takle Eye Group for 4 years. I will not be going back! I was to pick up a new pair of glasses today. The technician called and told me when to come in. I arrived at the office only to be told that nobody was there to help me. One of the receptionists handed me the case with the glasses and said to come back if I had any problems. They have never been fitted or adjusted. Unacceptable! Buy glasses somewhere else! read more

I had two appointments that were re-scheduled for various reasons by the practice, all were canceled by the practice when I got there. One time was because the doctor was in surgery that day, the employee should have known this when I was called to re-scheduled. The second time was for a cataract consultation, when I got there for the 9:15 AM appt. I waited 40 minutes after appt. time and ask what was taking so long, they said I was next. Two more people were called, at 10:15 I ask the desk why, this is when I found out it was for a "cosmetic" consult. I said it was supposed to be for a cataract consult. At this time I ask them to cancel my appt, I was going back to Clayton Eye Center where they knew what they were doing. I don't believe the employees know what they are doing, it is chaotic. I have to travel from Jonesboro to Locust Grove, it was a waste of my time and gas. This us unacceptable for a practice that was highly recommended. read more

Severed tie after nineteen years. Dr. Takle prescribed medication and it was sent to wrong pharmacy. Called and gave them correct information. Pharmacy texted me that they had contacted them needing a pre-approval but they hadn't responded to 2 faxes. I called and told them . Next message I received from the doctor's office was that it had been sent showed it had been sent to wrong office again. 3rd time same issue. When I went in to talk to them they denied it until I showed them their own messages. I should have left them in 2022 after my insurance questioned how I had a laser procedure and lens replacement in a ten minute time frame on the same day. Went to Griffin and spoke to the billing supervisor and her reply was"Oops " with a grin and " someone made a mistake". To my knowledge this was never rectified. I had an appointment at this office today. It was my first time. T I felt very welcome from the pristine appearance of the building (inside and out). The office staff seemed quite professional overall. I loved the Dr (Dr Sakoury) who examined my eyes and wish I could see her again next year. But based on my check out experience, its questionable if I will return. Here is why: As I was going through the prep phase before seeing the doctor, the technician asked if I would ok with having my eyes dilated. I said yes, as long as the office will have post mydriatic glasses to give me when I am leaving. She said yes. So when I was leaving, I asked the front dest associate for the post mydriatic glasses. The associate said they had none. When I told her that another associate assured me that I could get one upon exiting, she said she did not know why the clinical staff keep telling patients that they can get the glasses at the front desk when they have been out of them for over a day. So here are some of the reasons I consider this experience a red flag: a) an eye doctor's office should never be out of mydriatic glasses because patients need them to protect their eyes from the glare after dilation. And let's even say that for some extenuating situation, they happen to run short one day, that should never continue into a second day. And even though the associate didn't say for how long they were out of them, it sounded like it was for a number of days. b) Then again, let's give them the benefit of the doubt and say that the extenuating circumstance justifies them being completely out, I would expect under that circumstance, I would expect the office to do one of two things: i) call the patient the day before their visit and suggest that they bring with them a pair of sun glasses or ii) patients who do not have sunglasses should be given full disclosure, that they will not receive eye protection glasses when they leave. This way it it sup to the patient to make the decision if they are willing to accept the inconvenience (and potentially safety hazard) of driving without poor mydriatic glasses. c) The 3rd red flag is the poor communication. As I mentioned, the front desk associate seemed surprised that the back office keeps offering to patients a service that the office is not able to offer. if this keeps happening, then the front desk associate has the responsibility of bringing this issue to the office manager, in order for the issue to be resolved. This results in very poor customer service. Needless to say, the ride home was extremely difficult for me, not having glasses to protect my eyes after having them dilated.. PS: For those who are not familiar with the word mydriatic glasses, it it essentially dark sunshades that one wears to protect their eyes after dilation. Waited over a month for my appointment and one hr to see Dr. Tackle, just to find out that he could not see me because I haven't been out of my contact for 2 wks. No one told me this until appointment. They told me that I had to reschedule and come back in 3 weeks. This isn't acceptable because my time is just as valuable as his. Doctors are very nice, as are technicians. However, you are not informed of additional charges until after services have been rendered. This seems underhanded, like they're hiding something. The billing staff and office manager are apathetic and unprofessional. They expect you to know their billing practices as well as they do, which is preposterous since it's their job and you are just a patient. If you make an appointment, make sure you're 100% clear on everything they will bill you for BEFORE your appointment. read more

They don't care about the patient. I had eye exam for contacts on 5/2 and left eye was adjusted. After 3 days I called to get it tweaked since I can't see the computer. 24 hours later no phone call back. They are all about the Almighty dollar and not the patient. read more

I and my wife both had cataract surgery with great results. The staff were very caring and the procedure was painless. Much effort was made to keep us comfortable. We were given very clear instructions and given a clear description of the various options available. Dr Takle is very professional and a superb surgeon. The other doctors were great with the eye exams as well. To be totally honest the only major negative was with the business in the same space that sells glasses. I was amazed that even after I had two surgeries there that they REFUSED to do a simple PD measurement unless I paid them $10 which I did not do because of principle. Originally came in June of last year for glasses and the process was smooth and easy. I cant remember the staff member that helped me picked my frames, but she was so sweet and helpful. She was engaged and helped me pic a pair of frames that looked better on me than the ones I had selected. I moved to Florida and broke my glasses a little over a month ago. I contacted thm about getting my frames replaced and was told that not only were the frames recently discontinued, but that the warranty didn't cover the kind of damage my glasses had. However, the staff member was nice enough to offer to contact the manufacturer to see if they still might have my frames and ask if they would allow the frames to be warrantied since they were discontinued anyway. The manufacturer agreed! I was very happy. I mailed my old frames and lenses and had my new pair back to me within 2 weeks. I wish I could come here again! read more

Doctors are great. However they changed their procedures. I want to see the doctor who was treating me for 2 years but now they want you to see the eye exam person first and not the doctor. If the eye exam person sees something wrong ----then you have to make an appointment with the doctor. So I guess 2 appointments and 2 payments would be necessary. I don't think so. Now they also will charge you a fee if you want to use your credit card. I know this practice is generally the way a small business operates but a doctors office who bills everday for visits and surgeries, so disappointing. I am suppose to have a free eye exam every year but they charge me and said it's considered medical. Well a year ago, they didn't have one person who only did that process, they assigned me the doctor, not my fault. The person I spoke today was of no help and understanding the billing issue I have. read more

Buyer beware. Most of the staff are pleasant which is the only reason I am giving this business one star instead of none. I was given contacts by the doctor who put them in for me during my first time visit. Over the next few hours my eyesight deteriorated and my eyes became painful. I removed the lenses and went to the manufacturers website which specifically said these particular lenses were NOT made for my condition and the manufacturer did not make a lens that would work for me. I immediately contacted the doctor/owner of Takle by written letter, hand delivered. It has been 2 weeks and NO one from the office has reached out to me. The message is clear...."too bad, so sad, move along." If you want terrible customer service and questionable medical treatment this is the place for you. read more

Purchased my second pair (first pair a year earlier) of Ray Ban prescription glasses. These glasses retail just over $800. I had been in for my eye exam in April and was told that the exam was good for 6 months so there was no rush to get the glasses ordered. Ordered them in early September. When they came in, the distance vision was blurry and worse than my old pair of glasses. I was told to wear them for a bit till I "got used to them". After a week, they were the same. My old glasses were OK with the distance vision so I asked them to remake the lenses using the old prescription for the distance and the new prescription for the near vision. They said "no can do". Told me the prescription was only good for 60 days and I would need another eye exam. Said she would check to see what could be done and call me in an hour or two. Never heard from them. Outrageous! I am through with Takle Eye Clinic. They have lost me for future cataract surgery and lost my wife as a patient also. Think TWICE before doing business with these folks! read more

so I had an appointment at 11:20 this morning and Takle office in Locast Grove called to push it back until 1:00 I get there at 12:45 and check in and at 1:20 I ask if I had been checked in and approximately how long would it be? there was 21 patients sitting in the waiting room at this time. she said at least 2 more patients before me. I do realize short of help, however this is a dr office and this is not professiona! it's actually very disrespectful. I choose to pull my appointment and my records of many years and change Dr. IT only took me 5 mins to call another Dr and get an appointment for tomorrow at 12:40. I know I am only one patient , but my insurance and money now goes to a more organized and respectful business. not only was it an exam, but money for eye glasses and contacts as well. And these business are wondering why they are going under Takle Eye Group you have got to do better!!! read more
