PetSmart has been a stable in my life as a dog owner. I love their various events that they host throughout holidays, birthdays, etc. Staff here is always quick and friendly. You get to see all types of pets that come in through the day and most of them are pretty friendly. My dog never got grooming done but I been told that their grooming service is pretty spectacular. They're gentle and very loving to your pet which is always a nice sight to see. Best part is that they're informative, professional, friendly, gentle, and quick. I just wanted to take the time to share my experience with one of the associates name Krystal at Petsmart #2465 on Friday, March 27, 2026 around 9:15am I went in looking to purchase a 40 gallon bearded dragon habitat kit, unfortunately there was none on the floor but there was two of them on the overstock shelves, I asked for the assistance and she was more then willing and ready to assist, unfortunately it seemed to be slightly heavier then anticipated and she called for back up but UNFORTUNATELY the guy she radio was "Busy" to come assist neither to say we both got it down safely and secure and I was able to bring the tank home to my nephew. I'm not sure if pet groomer Christina still works there but if she does I hope she reads this review or someone tells her. Our chihuahua Hailey loved Christina every time she did her grooming. Our dog was a senior dog and Christina made sure she was gentle with her. She always left her super clean and smelling good. The bonus was the cute little bandana she would put on Hailey. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE! -- Margarita--your store manager from 3530 Rosemead blvd in Rosemead, CA. She will not sell me the rosy reds fish.. She has a limit of only 20 fish. I will have to return to get more if I want. Will she reimburse me for my time and gasoline for the trip? Other stores don't have this policy. I guess PetSmart does not need my purchases. I was going to buy all sorts of aquarium supplies, including new fish tanks. I was thinking of spending upwards of $1000 to setup my fish room. PetSmart is my go-to place for fish. But, with such a draconian policy, I will go elsewhere, especially Petco.. NO LONGER A CUSTOMER! I took in a manufacturers coupon and it would not scan so the clerk said it would not be accepted. I informed her a manager has input the coupon manually in the past when it does not scan and she called her manager. I reprinted the coupon because the first was a bit blurry and tried to ask them to scan the other but upon seeing the second they found a technicality to not help me at all because it was a duplicated coupon. I informed them I reprinted it because of the blurriness issue, but it wasn't much better, and they said they would not help me. I was trying to save $8 bucks on my $90 cart. They lost that sale and all future sales. Needless to say I will no longer be shopping here ever again and I have canceled my autoship orders. We brought our baby in when her claws had grown a little too long and Dina grinded and trimmed them to perfection in addition to shampooing, brushing and drying. She came out looking and smelling amazing! Thank you! I wanted to give 5 stars but we had a bad experience the last time we came here. We booked for a Saturday afternoon and the email notification we got said it would take 1-2 hours but when we arrived we were told it would be closer to 3-4 hours and we ended up having to cancel reservations for a movie later that night. I bought a bag of dog food that ended up having an infestation of maggots in it, and it's not the entire reason for the review. I got a new food that was more expensive. When I got rung up, a gentleman with glasses and shorter hair helped me out had me sign up for something so I could get a $10 coupon for the purchase. Sweet, offsets the price. It took a while to get set up, but we got there. When I get home, I see the food has maggots or something in it. Stop by again to return the food, and there's a new gentleman, he has long hair and makeup. As I walk to get the new food, he stops to tell me that I need to drop off the old food for the exchange, that I cannot take it further into the store. Fair enough. Dude wasn't the nicest about it, but whatever, I work in retail, I get it. I come back with the food, and I stand while he stocks and talks with a coworker. I am in a rush, but really trying to just be in and out. Takes a while, but he does help me out after a bit He asks me what's wrong with the old food, same attitude as before, and I tell him there's bugs in it. His tone does change, but tells me that they stock it with food that's known to get infested, and it's a known issue. Don't know why you would keep food that's known to have issues with infestation with other food, let alone the more expensive brands, but not relevant. He then scans the two foods and sees that there's a price difference between the two, and I do see the 10-15 dollar difference, that I'm supposed to get money back because of the coupon and the price of the new food was cheaper to begin with. It then goes away and he tells me that it's good, and that it's an even exchange. I ask what the number was about and he tells me that it was the price with the coupon, and it can't be exchanged, and I can't get it back because the coupons don't work that way. I'm already running late and mad at this point, so I just leave. I work retail, I have had weird situations come up, and I have had bad days. If you charge me money to get the terrible customer service, infested dog food, and remove a coupon that you told me about... I give a one star. Won't be coming back. read more

Went to this petsmart to adopt a kitten. I went around 8pm and fell in love. The man that was there said If i came back in the morning I could take her home because the adoption team wasn't there. I show up the next day and they gave BOTH kittens away, including the one he said i could take home!! I am so heartbroken I have been coming to this petsmart since I was 5 years old. She brought in the dogs to get groomed for their sheduled appointments on 11/17/25. The ladies at the grooming service were very kind,Jenna J was very nice & professional (5 stars for Jenna only). Her dogs werent canidates for the grooming services she had purchased online therefor she needed to get refunded for the services. The store manager Malachi Peace and their second store manager whom is a female named Jane??... told her that her refund would be expected in 3-5 business days for the $160 grooming service she purchased online this was on 11/17/25. One week later my mom had gone a second time because she has not recieved her refund and spoke with the same female manager Jane?.. told my mom she knows nothing about her claim/isssue and to call her bank. 3rd time 12/09/25 I personally went with my mom to talk to manager Malachi Peace again asked him what was the whole problem with her refund and he seemed just as confused and said corpate had a email on her case etc and that he was actively following up on it...that we just had to be patient etc etc (*BS to get us off their case) . I got his card and corporates number to figure out what is going on. Today 12/15/25 I called corporate spoke with Rodney and they told me that the store managers had to be the ones to refund us the money in store in person and that they had to process the refund throught their POS system, I told them I dont think their managers at rosemead know what they are doing or are compentent to know how to process a refund for online purchase. They had me on hold and they called the same store to walk them through the process and email them instructions on how to do it, and to give them 2 hours. Again we went to the store and spoke with the same female manager who goes by Jane?.. I explained to her what was going on again and she was familiar with our situation and knew I called corporate and all of the sudden knew how to refund my moms money on the spot. I told her how inconvient it was that they were giving us the run around the 3 times we had been there requesting answers about this refund and they didnt seem apologetic they said it was a "system change". I would not recommend anyone to come to this store CLEARLY the managers need more training because all they had to do was a simple call and say they dont know what their doing. I suggested for my daughter to have her goldenddodle (Maui) bathed and brushed by Christina A. At first she stated that there was a PetSmart that was closer to her house. After she compared the Yelp reviews, she thought that it was worth the drive to have their dog bathed and brushed in Rosemead. When she got home from work, she video chatted with me. She wanted me to see how Maui looked. He looked very fluffy. I was highly impressed with Maui's sanitary trim and very clean ears. The groomer that they previously took Maui to did not do a good job with Maui's sanitary trim and ears. Their previous groomer had excuses as to why she did not completely pull or shave the hair within Maui's ears. I am very thankful that Christina A. meticulously cleaned Maui's ears. At least now, Maui will stop scratching his ears. I would highly recommend purchasing PetSmart's Ultimate Savings Package promotion. I purchased 9, and will be getting 3 free. That is a monthly bath and brush for my maltipoo. My daughter also purchased the same Ultimate Savings Package for her goldenddodle. read more

My dog had an appointment at 3 to get groomed. Upon arrival I was told he needed his vaccine record since he was due for a vaccine I wasn't told on the phone when making the appointment. It's so inconvenient now I have to drive back home get his record and drive back?! I don't have time to be driving up and down. This is something that should have been told to me and the worst part is I come to find out it was a manager by the name Emerson. I can't understand how a manager fails to give important information. I'm not upset about them checking vaccine records I completely understand it's for their own safety but the whole miscommunication and me wasting my time is what is very upsetting! Brought my baby girl here for some much needed grooming. She's shy around new people and does not like baths, yet the emloyees here handled her very well. They were friendly and gentle with her. The nail grinding was also done well. After the grooming was finished, I came to pick up my baby girl and received a pet assessment from the employee. I really liked this because it shows what grooming services were done and how my puppy behaved during the visit. The grooming salon is located on your right side once you go through the entrance of PetSmart. This is Richie's second bath and brush visit at this location and it went wonderfully! Jenna was the best! She knew how to handle my precious and shy kitty perfectly and kept him calm from start to finish! She took her time with him, picked him up carefully, brushed him gently before and after his bath, which I really appreciate. About 1.5 hours later and voila! His nails were nicely trimmed, ears squeaky clean, had a scent of fresh baby powder and my Richie was perfectly groomed! He was also very relaxed when I picked him up which tells me he was handled with care the entire time. Jenna was so amazing that I just had to make our next appointment with her before I left. Disappointed with my visit. I'm really frustrated with my recent trip to this store. I went in specifically to buy red claw crabs, but when I asked for help, the employee in a grey shirt told me I needed to fill out an application. I searched for it online and couldn't find anything. I understand there are policies, but it felt like a waste of my time and gas to be turned away. I b used to take my dog here. He's a bichpoo mix. First off, the "doodle" typical haircut is one they never were able to get and I brought him here for 5-7 years. They raised their prices to an astronomical cost. They never got the cut right. Always just a shave and shampoo - it was more like get him in get him out. They began charging me an extra $10 for handling. Which means he bites them, but no other groomer has this experience with him, and I've taken him to 3 other places. When he began peeing on their floor when I brought him a couple times that's when I had enough. For context, I've had two of his 3 vets that I take him to tell me he's a very sweet boy and one doctor said he was the sweetest dog he'd ever seen. read more

I took my new rescue dog (a 30lb mixed breed) to be groomed for the first time, and Viola was fantastic with her. She gave my dog a bath, brushed her out, trimmed her nails and even gave her the very berry facial. It took about 2 hours, but she called promptly when my dog was ready to be picked up. The price was quite reasonable (about $25) and my dog came out looking fantastic and smelling like sweet berries. She told me what was done for my dog and gave me a copy of her grooming notes in a cute pamphlet. They leave alot of curbside spaces, so I always find a spot. Once you order online, your items are usually ready within an hour. Wonderful! Inside, I was worried about safety in the store. Although staff were wearing masks, they let a man walk around holding his jacket over his mouth. As expected, prices were not cheapest. I love this Petsmart. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The store is clean and organized. They have everything you'd need for your pets. We've been coming to this location since our pup was a tiny one. It so happens that the brand of food we use is sold exclusively at Petsmart so we are here pretty often. It's a smaller store compared to Monrovia or Alhambra but it has everything you need. It is definitely less crowded than the other locations. We used to bring little guy here for his grooming and he loves everyone. They would totally take care of him & he'd be happy to see us when we picked him up. I love that you can make your appointments on the Petsmart app and choose the groomer too. Super convenient! Petsmart offers a Puppy guide that includes a bunch of coupons! It costs $20 but it's worth it because you save on puppy food ($15 off), grooming & supplies (crates, bowls, chews, beds, etc). Parking is easy as there are lots of space in the Target plaza. First time here to try on their grooming and didn't know what to expect. I booked on line with the first availability on Saturday with whoever available and Jackie it's the time slot that fitted my time. It turned out she did a great job on my baby cut with extra brushing. She really took her time to care for my baby and he came out pretty happy. The picture said it all. Most of the place I went before took the easy route out and shaved down my baby every time. Jackie really listened well and took her time to slowly brushed out all the matted and tangles. Grooming salon - our go to groomer is Jessica. She's amazing with what she does and my dog only likes to go with her. She's understanding and will work with you to make your pet look fabulous! Definitely try her out with your pet. Then why 3 stars? Because there's a bad apple working as the the front cashier by the name of Andrew. He's unprofessional and should be retrained on what he does. He was radioing in about a customer when ringing me up and when I was giving him my number for rewards, he didn't catch it all - which is okay because it's tough to hear with the masks on. When provided the number again, he YELLED back every digit I told him because I guess someone was talking to him via radio. I understand it's hard to hear BUT all you had to do was remove your ear piece and asked for it again. He did NOT need to yell. I've been here multiple times for dog grooming. However after todays appointment I won't be coming back. They charged an additional $10 in "handling fees" because my dog pretended to bite a dryer. Previous groomers at this location always said he had great behavior and there was never any issue. Cashier at grooming station tried to suggest it might be because he was "nervous" after not getting groomed in so long. Funny thing is he has been groomed just not at this location so that excuse doesn't work. I got the feeling the cashier really just wanted the extra money. I paid the extra "fee" but didn't tip.
