I came here four days ago with a friend. It's at 12463 Broadway right at Three Rod Road in Alden. One of my Tops customers works there and I wanted to support the business because of that. Her name is Jill and she is a great waitress. They have a good looking menu. They serve breakfast anytime. Their breakfast menu items are listed on the back of the menu. I ordered the L.A. Cinnamon Bread. It's thick sliced bread drizzled with sweet sauce and icing. It was awesome. I also ordered a side of hash brown patties. They were perfect. The coffee is good here too. My friend Maryanne ordered the Corned Beef Hash and Eggs. She had corned beef hash, two eggs, hash brown patties, and toast. She enjoyed her breakfast too. Our food came out very quickly. (I guess we came at a good time. I was told they were much busier earlier and the food took awhile.) I enjoyed my food and experience here very much. Drive down Broadway for awhile and check out this hidden gem. read more

Big portions! Good prices! A very friendly staff! This is a small little diner located on broadway and 3 rod. Little drive for me but we do breakfast often and like to try different places. We have been here a few times and the breakfast is always consistent. Never had a bad experience with the food or service. Love how everyone seems to know each other and treat each other as family. My favorite part of the small Mom and Pop shop places. The atmosphere is very simple, it's just a classic diner. This is probably out of the way for a lot of people being in Alden but if your ever heading out to Darien Lake make the stop for breakfast on the way. You won't be disappointed! read more

After a long day driving all over three different counties, I needed some grub. Since this was on the way home we decided to stop here for brunch. Yikes. I hate to give such a bad review but I am hard pressed to find much positive in our experience. We were seated quickly and our waitress came over to clean our table. Despite that, everything was disturbingly sticky and the cleaner she used almost knocked me out with how strongly it smelled. The coffees we ordered came quickly enough but were weak and only luke warm. I can definitely say that the coffee was not fresh either. I ordered the farmers breakfast which was 2 eggs, choice of meat, home fries and toast. I asked for extra crispy home fries, sausage and eggs over medium. My sister got the French toast. First off my eggs were chewy and undercooked. Which is almost impressive to me. The home fries were not extra crispy...over even crispy...or even cooked for that matter. The sausage was the clincher and so weird I don't even know how to describe it besides saying they were gross and turned my stomach almost instantly. My sisters french toast was more or less cooked bread and completely lacked any flavor at all. The rye toast however, was great! Overall, our meal was extremely disappointing and I cannot see myself returning here. I also felt they were overpriced especially considering the quality of our meal. My quest for a good diner not too far from home continues! read more

Love this hometown diner! Consistently good food for both breakfast and lunch, plus friendly service. For breakfast, we each ordered the farmers breakfast (pic attached) and it came out within 5 minutes of ordering. Food was very fresh and good. For lunch, my husband tends to order the BBQ chicken finger melt which comes with fries and is awesome, and I usually go with the chicken finger sub - also great. Highly recommend! read more

First time visit. Rather quaint but great food and quick service. taken aback with portions. we could not (comfortably) finish clearing the plate. I ordered the fish sandwich with fries and coleslaw. It was a full size filet on a small sub roll. Fries were great...no ketchup really required. My wife had chicken Souvlaki with pita....ate the chicken and most of salad. but again could not finish. Desert? gosh no!. However...would recommend Greek salad replacement. Much of the menu consists of sandwich selections vs. dinner style selection. all in all..we will check it out again...if we are out that way. Good Job!! read more

Stopped in for dinner with family. We had a breakfast omelet, chicken finger melt and fish and chips. Friendly people and helpful with questions. The food was home made, great taste and filling. No room for dessert. 15 minute drive but well worth it. Our server "Crystal" was very friendly. We will be back so. read more

After coming here for the first time a week ago for lunch and having excellent food, we decided to try it for breakfast. Well lets say definitely will not return for breakfast! Ordered orange and when that came out it was colored water..told the waitress that it needed to be mixed better..told waitress and she said "oh well I don't drink OJ so I don't know, they just made a fresh batch"; (we had seen her pour it out of a plastic container and it was all settled at the bottom) well she still didn't mix it and after bringing us new ones it was still awful! Also ordered short stack of pancakes (yummy) w/side extra crispy home fries (no flavor,not crispy), extra crispy corned beef hash with poached eggs (hash was good but not crispy), and the farmers breakfast (good, again home fries were not flavorful and not crispy). read more

I ate here a few times and was never impressed. The food is ok, nothing special. The waitresses are friendly but it seemed the cook and a few others act inappropriately toward them (rude, or demeaning comments). And taking a look around the place shows that it really needs to have some updating done, stains on the carpet, dust, etc. In my opinion I will never go back. I'd like to get better qaulity food for my money and not see the waitresses treated so harshly. read more

very very good,,, always, great desserts and sunday pot roast, only complaint is that they need to have some sort of consistency to specials, I call and call about pot roast, which is EPIC and made with REAL MASHED POTATOES which is sooo easy to do and makes all the difference. I ask when they will have it, they always say sundays,, but each sunday I have had an opportunity to go, they don't have it,. god hates me.lol.. but great people , awesome food and good service too..prices are good too btw read more
