Staff is very unfriendly. I had surgery, which was portrayed to me as simple, but was nothing but simple. I had every complication possible and these complications were poorly addressed. I kept being told to "put these drops in and it will be better tomorrow", which, of course never happened. Possible complications such as hemorrhaging and blurry vision (which both happened to me). were never discussed as possibilities pre-surgery. The anesthesia during surgery was inadequate and when I brought it up with the surgeon afterwards his response was that he "relies on the anesthesiologist." I guess nobody was paying attention when I told them during surgery that I could feel what they were doing and it hurt. Now I am being told I need a second surgery. I cannot, in good conscious, let these people touch my eye again. Horrible experience.

If you live in this area and you need a full doctor medical exam, this is the office you want to go to. Between Dr. Harry Halscheid and his knowledgeable & friendly staff (hi Pam & Debbie), I have been well taken care of for all this time. I have had a long history of issues with my eyes, and was always cautioned to pay attention whenever or if I see bright flashing lights. Thankfully, I didn't travel this Thanksgiving weekend, and I was able to get Dr Reto's attention right away when I was seeing something not right. Through a series of phone calls and text messages we concluded I likely had a retinal tear or detachment. Dr. Reto came in on a Sunday morning after Thanksgiving, and drew his conclusion of a retina tear and put me in touch with an on call retina surgeon (Dr. Saran). Two top notch (no interns here) on call doctors on a Sunday! This tag team surely prevented me from potentially getting a detachment and / or losing the vision in my left eye! I noticed this unassuming shop on my way to my chiropractor and thought I'd see if they could help me out. They could not have been friendlier. I received a second eye exam from them. It was a night and day difference. The optometrist took her time and really made sure the prescription was right. While the other place relied on machines to tell them what to do, these people were old school in their approach and highly skilled. They had a good selection of high quality frames and provided great service at every step. If you want to make sure you're dealing with real professionals, Visionary Eyewear is a great choice. I don't normally write reviews, but this is one of those places you could walk by without even noticing and it was one of my better eye care experiences.

I have eye drops. I am reporting him to my insurance company because the ICD 9 code he used isn't related to my condition. I will go to Philadelphia and see a real doctor next time. Complete waste of time. Then I find out he does mostly old ladies botox injections more than see eye patients. He is at a place called Chester County Eye Care. Make a note.
