Sam is one of the most decent and generous guys I have ever met. And his right hand man Zee is an awesome guy as well. I brought my car in for some work and the price he gave me beat everyone around, even another auto body guy that I knew for years and thought was giving me a good price. I had an insurance job (I was rear ended by someone) and was recommended that I go to him...I had a lot more work to do to make the car look as good as new, since I had some previous issues, but that was all coming out of pocket. After he met my family he told me he wanted to make my wife and kids happy, and so he went beyond the call of duty to do just that. I wanted to cry he was so kind, and the work was just A++! After looking around the area I brought my car in after a small fender bender. It's an older convertible, but with super low mileage, and I was worried my insurance would total it out. Sam took great care of me and the car. I'm a car buff, and I have to say the work they did was incredible. I honestly couldn't be happier. The price was under what the USAA suggested body shop said they could do it for as well. I would recommend West Coast Auto Body to anyone. I wish I'd found West Coast Auto Body years ago. I've taken my cars (BMWs and Fords) to a big place recommended by my insurance a few times over the years, and there's always been something that was an attention to detail issue, or just sloppy.. unbuffed paint under the wheel well, scrapes on other parts of the car that weren't there before I took it in, etc. One thing I would note, is there are a few other places with the title "West Coast" in their name. Found myself back at West Coast Auto Body for something I did. 30 years parking in the same spot and this time I hit my passenger side mirror backing into my spot. No one has new mirrors for an Acura RSX-only banged up junkyard finds. Had to go with aftermarket and by the time Z had it painted and installed, I couldn't tell the difference. Also had some new trim pieces for the window put it and had my headlights polished to like new with the UV coating and I couldn't be happier. Highly recommended, as usual. If your going out of pocket do not go here. They quoted me 6500 and after job is done 7500... and guess what its incomplete repair because my steering rack has been clicking and needs repair which they didn't do. Now stuck paying anywhere from another 500 to 1500 to get it fixed. They quote u a lower price so u can go with them and then they hard core screw u on the way. This isn't acceptable. Its not right. They should have test drove car. They kept my car almost 2 months. The people are friendly but are greedy and can't do the job right appearanlty. Im so upset. Im losing so much money caus either wanted to get my car fixed and expected it to be atleast perfect after paying and additional 1k because of their mistake. Its not right. This place goes above and beyond every time. I own my 2002 Jetta and have had some small scratches and areas where the paint has gone bad over the years. Two times I've taken my car here and they always do great work for a great price... however, the last time they did something remarkable. Literally YEARS ago, the car was in an accident and the previous auto body company did something to make the rear passenger's door not quite seal properly. I didn't notice the problem until months went by, and then I didn't have the heart to go back and complain to Sallers (on Ventura Blvd) to fix it. So when I'm at West Coast recently to have some painting done on my trunk and rear bumper... Sam (the owner) notices the rear door issue and I tell him the story of the bad work. We talked for a minute about bad auto-body work... but I didn't think about it after that. Then, literally WEEKS after I get my car back, I put my son into the back of my car and notice that the door closes PERFECTLY?! Sam did the work and didn't even tell me OR charge me for fixing the problem! I will always take my cars here in the future. They're great! read more
