West Coast Cafe is our favorite Italian restaurant in the area. So far, everything that we've tried has been delicious and superior. The staff is amazing and we love the ambiance the restaurant provides.

Comfort food and decent dishes. West Coast Cafe is a solidly average place for food in the area. It's a bit on the expensive side, given the dishes taste averagely OK.

A cozy Italian restaurant located in downtown San Bruno. There are street parking hours enforced so I would check the hours if you park on the street, but the restaurant also has a parking lot behind it which I recommend. We ordered appetizers to share and each got our own dish. Items ordered: - Calamari Sautee: The seafood tasted pretty fresh, not the most fried or crispy if you prefer that. - Insalata Caprese: Comes with 4 pieces and you can cut in half for 8 pieces. Tomatoes were fresh and overall a pleasant appetizer. - Bruschetta: I really enjoyed the bruschetta with diced tomatoes and toppings. Would get again! - Pasta Special: The special included spinach fettuccine, rock shrimp, and clams in a creamy tomato sauce. I really liked the sauce and pasta was well cooked. The rock shrimp was a little harder than I expected.

Want a good cozy place to bring a loved one? This is it. Once again we find ourselves here. Not only is the food good but , you walk into an establishment where you feel like a normal person. You can come dressed up or down. You are just here to enjoy your dinner. Service is always welcome in may I tell you about our specials? Love that. Food always come out hot and fast. We Had a bus person that was on her game today. Refilling water and getting us bread and butter almost instantly. The food was delicious as usual. Dessert we can never pass in the tiramisu. Came with strawberries vs. blueberry's. Whatever is in season.

This restaurant is located right in the heart of Downtown San Bruno. There are plenty of metered parking spots around this establishment. We were greeted and seated by a friendly waiter upon entering the restaurant. He told us about the specials for the day. We ordered the Calamari Saute, West Coast Penne, Fettuccine Alfredo with Prawns, and the Linguine Tuttomare. The calamari saute as a starter was pretty tasty and the calamari wasn't over cooked. The west coast penne had a good amount of chicken, sundried tomatos, and asparagus. The Aurora garlic sauce went well with it. The prawns in the Fettuccine Alfredo were huge. The seafood in the Linguine Tuttomare were fresh and the pomodoro sauce was light. All the pasta were cooked al dente. While we were eating, the waiter came to check up on us a couple of times. We enjoyed the great service and the delicous food. The prices were fairly reasonable and they gave us big portions. We will be back to try their other entrees like the chicken parmesan and their house specialty lasagna.

My wife and I have been going to West Coast Cafe for 2 years. The food is great, and the service is great. We recommend this place to everybody.

One of the days specials was a rib eye steak. And it was special for sure. Great cut of meat and very tender & tasty.

Still giving four stars because on another visit a while back, we were given tiramisu that had gone bad. This was a bit after the pandemic when businesses were still struggling. I assumed they didn't check their premade food's freshness. In any case, we didn't touch the tiramisu after a bite and left it behind. They normally only open for dinner on Saturdays, but they opened specially for our event, which already says a lot about their generosity and flexibility. I chose this restaurant because I had dined here for lunch a few times before, and every experience had been wonderful. The food is consistently delicious, even something as simple as the bread and olive oil stands out. The pricing is very reasonable for the quality. The interior is beautiful, with high ceilings that make the space feel open, elegant, and perfect for a large gathering. The service has always been good, but for an event of this size, I honestly didn't expect the food and service to maintain such a high standard. I was completely wrong in the best way possible. We were given SIX entrée options for our guests to choose from, which is impressive for a large party. Every dish came out hot, well-prepared, and absolutely delicious. They also offered us a very generous price, knowing that we are teachers celebrating our principal's retirement. That level of kindness did not go unnoticed. We brought our own cakes to save on costs and had asked in advance if the cake-cutting fee could be waived if we handled it ourselves. To our surprise, on the day of the event, the servers stepped in and kindly offered to cut and serve the cakes for us anyway. That gesture meant so much and really elevated the entire experience. The owner was incredibly easy to work with and very accommodating throughout the entire planning process. He had quite a few staff members working our event, and every single one of them was friendly, attentive, and helpful. They even offered my principal a complimentary glass of wine, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the celebration feel even more special. It's rare to find a place that delivers exceptional food, a beautiful venue, and such heartfelt service all at once, especially for a group of this size. Great people, great food, great venue, and outstanding service! I am incredibly grateful to the entire team for helping us create such a memorable celebration. Highly, highly recommend for both small meals and large special events.

She said she wrote on the reservation "Birthday" and we were seated promptly. Staff were kind and the location is beautiful. It's been in SSF since 2018 and when I looked at the menu, it was nice to see Cafe Figaro as another sister restaurant with the same owner. I love Cafe Figaro and have had a lot of pleasant experiences there! We ordered some wine to start and eventually ordered the watermelon salad and I got the Linguine fruitti di mare. Initially things seemed okay, we got our wine quickly. Servers were smiling. There were 2 servers. We got a watermelon salad with no utensil to serve it, but the server left SO quickly before we could ask. We had to wait a few minutes and then had to ask another server for a spoon. I think that's when we started noticing that the two servers helping on our side were just walking SO fast. It kind of made the ambiance feel rushed and oddly stressful. Like, we are not rushing to eat. BTW we got a reservation for 745pm but they also accept reservations for 8pm. They close at 9pm...(more on this later). We ate calmly when our food came. The food itself was very delicious. However, the service made the whole experience lackluster and incredibly disappointing. I still didn't like how rushed the servers were walking around. I also felt like they were checking often to see how we were doing or if we were done. I felt like I couldn't really eat in peace (being watched but in an odd, invasive way). It was getting to be 8:55 (which we hadn't noticed the time as much), but we asked for a box for my dish to go. I was barely finishing putting it away in the box and the server already came to try to take my plate. I was like "I'm not even done...". RUSHING US. The main server then just came to drop off a check. At NO point did they ask us if we wanted dessert or even earlier on, to say "Btw the kitchen is closing soon, would you like to order dessert.". He just brought the check. We asked, could we order dessert? The server was like "I don't know. I'd have to ask the kitchen but they may not allow it." We were like "Nvm then." We were already annoyed with the situation. I noticed it was 8:57 and one of the servers was already tearing off all the tablecloths from the table. It was very evident they wanted us all out but I guess in other restaurants, even if it's past 9 (a little past 9), they understand that people may trickle out slowly. It wasn't even 9 yet and it already felt they wanted us all out. Especially how rushed they felt overall. When the server came, he said "next time, desserts on me" and I said "there's not going to be a next time." I explained how stressed and rushed it felt, especially with them rushing from table to table like it was a race, and that it was for a birthday and they didn't even give us a heads up to purchase dessert. He kept saying " I don't think I rushed you" and didn't really apologize. My sister too explained she even wrote this was for a birthday and that they were just making us feel like we needed to hurry. We ended up going to Cochinita next door to get dessert and they were so kind, not rushing. I should have gone there instead for dinner or any other Italian place. If you don't want people there at 9pm, don't accept reservations at 7:30, or 7:45 or 8pm. You will be kicked out 40 minutes within your meal as you will see they are subtly trying to kick you out. Go somewhere else where you won't feel rushed and will have a much more pleasant experience. This was surprising to me because I've been to Cafe Figaro multiple times and I've always had such a good experience. Here felt so odd like I was in a diner or a more informal place where it is more normal for waiters/servers to be rushing from table to table. It was an unpleasant experience and would recommend another spot instead with a more pleasant eating experience.
