    Margherita Pizza
    Gigi R.

Ordered the minestrone and the Margarita Pizza. I'm originally from Chicago and I can tell you that this is about as closest to Chicago style and they can get.

Had planned to check this place out when they first opened but they fell off my radar. today after church we were craving pizza from somewhere new and ended up here... thankfully so. They're located in the fairmont shopping center where there is plenty of parking. inside is small but just large enough to feel comfortable and even has a private area for larger parties. we ordered a combo large half chef special and milena with pepperoni extra topping and calamari appetizer. calamari was delicious cooked to perfection and crispy yet tender/moist. the pizza had a good amount of topping and sauce had the right mix of sweetness and tanginess. the dough was light, had a good textue to it w/ the undercarriage and crust having the right amout of bite/crispiness. we really enjoyed this place and will come back to sample more of the items on the menu. we lives literally minutes away so bolare is a nice additional to our regular rotation when we're looking to eat out close by. the staff was also very friendly and attentive.

My business partner and I were in town for just a few hours. Since he's Italian that was going to be our lunch pick for the day . We had to find something fairly close to the SF airport so I relied on my fellow Yelpers for some ideas. The choice was Bolare and it's only about 15 minute drive to SFO. It was late lunch around 2:30 when we arrived. This little mom n' pop restaurant is tucked back in a small strip center. There weren't any other customers there when we arrived. I noticed it's a clean and orderly restaurant when we walked in. Nice addition was the tv's tuned to sports over the bar. We had two cold beers right off the bat. I was impressed with the very cold bottle and just as cold glass. Nice touch. I ordered Caesar salad for an appetizer and he ordered the bruschetta. I really enjoyed my salad. A little pricey but pretty good salad. He liked his bruschetta well. I had the fettuccine with chicken and he ordered gnocchi. The plates came out and looked good. The food was piping hot as well. I enjoyed my lunch. It was good. Nothing extraordinary or life changing. Not sure but didn't taste like homemade pasta. The chicken was slightly over cooked and didn't have a lot of seasonings. My buddy said he enjoyed the gnocchi but it wasn't the best he's ever had. Overall a good place. A little over priced for the quality.

Hidden gem at the gates of Pacifica, right off Hickey Blvd. The pizza here is absolutely delicious! The chicken piccata is also a must-try. Customer service is superb in a warm, family-oriented atmosphere. The owner, Edgar, is a delight and makes you feel right at home. The best pizza in Pacifica.

I was invited to attend a group birthday party at this restaurant. I never been to this location but when I googled the address, it is near the former Rite Aid where I went for my vaccine during pandemic. It is a small Italian restaurant. The main room was decorated with warm & inviting. The flower center tables were decorated beautifully with reserved signs. I heard the celebrants along with the friend hostess decorated the dining room. I heard from the hostess that she had been coming to this restaurant that even had catered her birthday party. The owner, Edgar, and his staff were very nice & accommodating. We had the birthday prix fixe menu of salad, pasta & drinks to choose. We were served first with toasted bread to dip with EVO & balsamic vinegar & a choice of butter spread. I chose Factoria Salad & Pappardelle Pollo for my dinner. I had the Pellegrino sparkling water to drink. The food was delicious. Edgar joined in the singing of birthday song in Spanish which was nice. It was a beautiful birthday party with singing & dancing. We all had fun during the celebration. Towards the end of the party, we had pizzas served but we asked for Togo boxes since we were full from eating & drinking including wines. I ate the thin slices of pizzas at home and they were delish. I forgot what kind of pizzas were served. I may consider dining at this restaurant in the future considering the food, service & ambiance.

Small Italian eatery in the Fairmont Plaza mall, northern Pacifica. Serving pasta and pizzas, amid table-clothed settings with a small alcove for semi-private dining. You're warmly greeted, offered a menu since I was taking out. Ordered: MISTA SALAD. Organic spring mix, carrots, celery, and tomatoes dressed in a balsamic vinaigrette. Basic fresh salad. Would order again. MARGHERITA PIZZA. Mozzarella Cheese, tomato sauce, fresh tomatoes, basil. Not an artisan pizza but hits the spot! BOLARE PIZZA. Their signature pizza w/pepperoni, sausage & olives. Really liked this one! SPAGHETTI & MEATBALLS. This is a litmus test for me in Italian eateries. I was taken aback at the small amount of sauce w/meatballs over a mount of spaghetti. But when I dug in, bite of meatball, spaghetti, sauce it was actually unexpectedly the perfect amount per bite. Who knew? You can probably ask for more sauce if it bothers you. Sauce was good, meatballs light, tasty so win-win as I'll order again. Great spot for a quick lunch or those nights after a long day where the last thing you want to do is cook. Check out Bolare for their salads, tasty pastas and comfy pizzas. Plenty of parking in the mall.

I was skeptical about this place before, but after dining here, I now know to trust my instincts. Came here for lunch with a friend, and there wasn't one person. Bad sign. In the 1 hour we were there, still no one and no takeout orders. There's the Mexican flag and Spanish television playing at this Italian restaurant. I don't care about that. What I do care about is the failure to communicate. Our bread was burnt, and it was impossible to get new bread or to get cream and sugar for my coffee. The waitress didn't seem to understand what I was asking for. My coworker's fettuccine Alfredo pasta was just cheap regular Safeway pasta with a weird cream sauce and meatballs. It tastes as bad as it looks. 1 star. After seeing his dish, I ordered the fish. The fish was 3 stars average. The potatoes were undercooked, and the fish was overcooked. The calamari appetizer was just some spicy canned tasting sauce with little calamari. 3 stars. The best thing was the Caesar Salad. It was 4 stars. My coffee didn't taste fresh even though I asked multiple times to please brew a fresh pot and not use the one sitting there. I wanted to trust her, but I could taste the sad burnt flavor. I can't see this place surviving in the future if they don't lower their prices, improve their cooking, and improve on their service.

Had an early dinner here with a group of 10 and everyone loved their dishes. I wasn't too hungry, so I only ordered the minestrone soup, but it was very good. All the other dishes looked amazing, from the pizzas to the pastas. It's a 5 star for me because of the friendliness of the staff and their willingness to help us take group pictures, engage in banter, give complimentary second glasses of wine to the wine drinkers, and fast service in supplying everything our group needed, from extra napkins to refills of water. They even allowed us to have individual checks! Loved all this! I'll have to go back and try some of their pizzas and pastas!

Authentic and absolutely delicious. Best place to get your pasta fix in the Colma area and you can walk it off by the beach in a short drive. Wish I lived closer, might be good that I don't because I would eat wayyyyy too much pasta. I got the pappardelle and my friend the gnocchi, and it was all so legit in flavor and texture. I was very surprised and my Italian heart was elated! Could be a very romantic spot to take your date too or just to get some yumminess to go. The place isn't huge but a good enough size for a medium group or two. Great quick service too with a small but great wine selection. Glad Yelp guided me here! Grazie!

First time in this small, quaint little place! Good service, hard not to fill up on the delicious bread. I got the eggplant parm, piping hot from the oven. Loved the spaghetti on the side. Hubby got the beef shanks, which was full of flavor and tender. Baby enjoyed a cheese slice (not pictured; devoured!). Love the sweet, easygoing atmosphere here. Feels like home!

The owner is SO sweet. Comp'd me a coffee & Madeline while I wait for my pickup order.

Quaint new restaurant in place of the former American Sushi spot. Bolare is a yummy addition to the plaza. Full menu of traditional Italian entrees plus a classic pizzeria menu. Came in for the first time out of curiosity and ordered a whole small pizza for the kids. No leftovers! Eddie made it fresh to order. The crust was crispy but chewy. The owner was super sweet. We had a great encounter despite the language barrier. Lots of smiles exchanged and then a surprising offer of coffee and Madeleines on the house, courtesy of Patricia. Looking forward to our return to explore the menu!

I plan to grab something and head down to Winters. Parking is easy enough and if you go for lunch it's a nice neighborhood for a walk afterward. You're just a few blocks from the seawall. Where this place can improve is by giving us a more "home cooked" touch. It's the difference between good cafeteria food and my friend's Italian Nonna making us dinner. Give us that home-cooked Italian comfort. I would have given 3 stars, but that 4th star is because the prices are a good value, and that is important nowadays. However, I would be willing to pay more for higher quality dishes. Give it a try. On my next visit, I will try the chicken piccata.

I was underwhelmed by their "by the glass" menu and settled on an Orange wine and my husband got a Sauvignon Blanc. We sat in the green velvet couches that felt like sitting in someone's basement. My husband took one sip of his wine and it was terrible, I took a sip and it smelled like it was turning. He went back to get a different glass and the owner reluctantly poured him a Rose. We sat and had two glasses each, about $60. When I went to pay, the owner said that she wanted to be "transparent" and was still charging me for half of the awful first glass we took back. I told her I tasted it and it was terrible. She was extremely rude about it. If you were being "transparent" you would have told me that before pouring another glass. So she charged me $6-7 when I would have tipped $10-12 on the tab and I'll never go back there again. That's just someone that doesn't know how to run a business. Don't go here, like the other reviews stated, it's really just for locals. I overheard the owner saying to someone she got a case of some wine cheap because the labels were misprinted. So they are running a cheap wine shop. If you go here, make sure you taste anything before you buy or you will be charged even if the wine has turned. Although, I wanted to taste the reisling and the owner told me the bottle wasn't opened yet and it was super sweet, she wouldn't let me taste it. Like she was assuming I wouldnt like it. This isn't a wine shop, more like a liquor store.

I think I could've easily just eaten the soup and salad and would have been very happy. The house salad - 8/10 - had a wonderful homemade Italian dressing. This was the best house salad I have ever had. Calamari steak - 7/10 - this was cooked very nicely and was piled high with garlic. The garlic wasn't overpowering at all and mixed well with the tartar sauce. The mash potatoes - 8.5/10 - were amazing and creamy. The menu had a wide variety of dishes.
