I saw Albert's crew installing pavers and artificial turf at a home in my neighborhood. I was very impressed with the quality of their work, so I got his business card from the foreman on the job. Albert provided an estimate for some concrete repair work I needed done at my home. The estimate was excellent. He explained step by step what work would be done. On the day of the job, Albert was there along with his crew to make sure everything was performed as planned. West Coast Concrete did an excellent job, and I couldn't be happier. plumbers repaired and replaced a section of the sewer pipe under the driveway. They filled and compacted the ditch but didn't want to do the concrete work because it is a driveway and requires a concrete professional. so I looked up Yelp and called Albert of west coast concrete. He promptly came by and gave me a quote to which i agreed. Albert and Carlos came on a Sunday morning and I asked him if they are going to use re-bars to reinforce the cement. Carlos drilled holes in the existing concrete and installed the re-bars. In a few hours time he mixed the concrete and poured in the ditch, levelled, finished, and made broom finish and it looks very good. They did a very professional job for a reasonable price and I am very happy with the end result. definitely check with him if I have a concrete job in the future. Good Job Carlos!! read more

Wow Wow Wow!!! If concrete/pavers is what you need, these are the guys to do it!!! You will not regret! I would warn though that you may need to be patient with a bit of phone/text tag and some end of day responses... as I would find reasonably expected for any busy enterprise, if you can deal with that these guys are fantastic! I recently had a home remodel and opened up my whole back wall open concept kitchen to the backyard with bifold doors. Naturally, I needed to create some steps instead of breaking my legs everytime I exited my house. West Coast Concrete Services aka west coast pavers were able to mimic and extend my current paver steps, match the style, and help with a little bit of patchwork leftover work from my prior project. They more than exceeded my high expectations! I'm not a masonry worker, I cannot thoroughly comment on the difficulty or mastery of the trade or handiwork, but it looks great to me. What I can comment on is that I felt comfortable with Albert from the first time I met him and I knew that I could trust his crew to complete the task well. They were always EXTREMELY polite and respectful of our home, property, and wife at home with baby! After the project was completed my backyard was cleaner and more orderly than before the project began. They swept up all the project area, gently arranged and made space for the project, and the leftover bricks were nicely stacked to the side of the yard. There was a small slit of unfinished gap patchwork that I asked them to do on the side of my house that was overlooked and I asked West Coast Concrete (Albert) if they could come back and seal it up. It took a bit of time to come back and patch it but I wasn't in a terrible hurry so I was okay with that. Bottomline: prices very reasonable (shopped multiple estimates) Service: topnotch and trustworthy, they will respect and care for your home as if it were their own! (again, if you can bear with the bit of phone/text tag and less than immediate services, this business will provide you a great service at a reasonable cost! Hired just under a year ago to demo and replace a 35 ft section of wall in my backyard. Albert was friendly and on-time for estimate. Demo took one day, wall build done in two days. Crew was friendly and cleaned up before leaving each day. They arrived back on a fourth day to haul away to broken down concrete from Day 1. Four months after the build, small cracks started to appear in the wall. Didn't think much of them and figured the wall was just settling. It has been 10 months now and cracks are worsening. I'll end up having to patch up and probably replace the wall again in a few years as it continues to tilt. Unfortunately, a short time after the installation I learned that the concrete pad was inferior. I found this out when another contractor come to bid on another project at my home. Per my contract with Westcoast Concrete the pad was supposed to have a 4-inch depth but I found out the actual depth was between 1-3 inches, plus the gravel foundation was crumbling underneath the slab! This is not good since I had told the owner, Albert Alfaro, that I planned to have a shed built on top of it. I called and emailed Albert to let him know the issues. I also sent him photos and a video of the thinness of the concrete and the crumbling foundation. He attempted to defend the quality of his work, but after consulting with a Certified Building Inspector I decided to have the concrete removed at my expense. I emailed Albert Alfaro twice, to request a refund for the pad plus the cost of the removal. I never received a reply to either of my emails. I am exploring my options at this point. read more

There @gmail.comwas a major water leak under some stone pavers. After calling several masonry companies for a quote, I went with the most reasonable that was willing to come the next day after seeing the picture I sent him. They removed the Palos Verdes stone pavers, fixed the leak, which was way more complex due to another broken pipe under the original pipe, then replaced the same stones exactly. They worked into the night until finished. How much? The same amount as the original estimate! I felt they deserved more, so I gave them extra. With that experience, I naturally called them when I had a bigger plumbing problem. After the plumber jackhammered a 4x4 foot hole in my driveway, Al and worker cleaned the edges of the hole, replaced the rebar and cemented the hole even with the rest of the driveway. Albert and his team delivers! I had contracted Albert to build a huge terraced planter and to replace my 60 years old driveway with paver stones. This is a monumental task and I had tried to get it done for years. I had talked to many contractors. They must had thinked the task is too challenging so the prices they quoted were unresonably high. Many of the quotes were sloppy leaving rooms for disputes and they refused to clarify them. When I talked to Albert, he came to my house and took measurements, he did some calculations and gave me a quote right away. I know I had found someone (boss) who can make decisions and not someone (middle man)who took the dimensions and then tried to find someone who wants to do it to quote. When I gave Albert the job, he told me he will make my driveway the most beautiful in the neighborhood. Sure he did, not long after the driveway was done, several of my neighbors came up and asked for who did my driveway and I gave them Albert's name and number. After I posted this I will find out how to upload some photos for you to appreciate. What I like Albert most was that he and his crews worked six days a week unceasingly for over five weeks until the task was completed. As nobody like their driveway broken and no one come to work. But this is very common scenario for other contractors to take breaks from your project as they have more important tasks to complete. Albert's crew members are top notch. They know what to do and do it well. They worked so hard, sometimes I had to stop them and serve them Gatorades and cookies. Albert is honest, and very accommodating and we never had a disagreement. For things not in the fine prints he will fulfill my wishes if he thinks that's the right way to get things done. Other contractors would have nickel and dime me to death and I hated that. For things that is clearly outside of contract, Albert would quote me a fair price and not an outrageous price like many contractors would do to fatten their profit. In conclusion, Albert and his crews not only completed my project as quote, they completed it beautifully. As a result, we are no longer an employer and employees, we became friends. I would not hesitate to use them in my future project and I would highly recommend to anyone to try them. It was a very nice experience for me and I am sure it will be for you too. read more
