I contacted the makers and their office wanted to charge me $95 for an office visit with additional charges to clean and replace tubing. I saw on line that Alison was near where I moved my parents. I walked into her office with his hearing aids and explained the situation. She asked me to come back in 30 min. Upon my return, she had cleaned and replaced tubing as well as put in new batteries and charged me under $10. I thank you Alison and highly recommend her. New insurance...new doctor. Sounds like fun, huh?…read more For a couple years I have been going to the Airport Urgent Care in Oxnard and had mixed experiences. When I got my new insurance I had to choose a new doctor and Dr. Alcocer with the Spanish Hills Medical group was recommended by my wife's doctor. I was a little worried when I called in mid January to make an appointment and they had to schedule me in mid February. They explained later on that one of the doctors in the group had just retired and that the other doctors had to make up for all those extra patients. They gave me a call the day before to confirm my appointment and told me to come in a few minutes early to fill out paperwork. I arrived 15 minutes early, filled out a stack of paperwork and then waited to be called. They called me in about 5 minutes later. Woah. 5 minutes...that's awesome. I had an awesome nurse who took all my vitals and got me ready for my appointment and then about 5 minutes later I was visited by Dr. Alcocer. He had an amazing demeanor. He seemed like he was not in a rush at all...he acted like he wanted to know everything about me and what he could do to help me with my regular issues like my asthma. He gave me all the prescriptions that I needed with 6 months of refills so I didn't have to worry about waiting for my pharmacy to call in for authorization. That was such a relief from my previous doctor. All in all the whole appointment took maybe 20 minutes, 30 minutes tops. I was completely impressed with the whole experience and I look forward to having the Spanish Hills Medical Group and Dr. Alcocer on my side when it comes to my health. :0)

What kind of medical professional would decline services to a patient for not being vaccinated? Dr. Neira is a great doctor but unfortunately, I had to switch to another clinic where they are willing to see me in person. This is just ridiculous and inhumane.
