They'll tell you it's in line with the market but if you shop around, you'll find out it's not. It's pure greed. The increases were generally around 40% year over year, which is outrageous. We had a great experience here for many years, Mike is the manager there and he was always very nice professional. We just recently left but only because we were able to our RV stored for free at a family members. If we ever need storage again this will be the first place we go to. read more

My experience with the new manager, Michael Lange was great. I believe he's the new manager there. He's very welcoming and friendly. When he took me to see my storage unit that I would be renting, I took note of how clean the storage facility was. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE! I have rented a large unit 10x30 for several months. A couple of days ago I went to my unit to only find someone's lock on my unit. I made this months payment and I am currently on rent. I paid almost 400 a month. Office was closed and I tried several times to call and get help. Finally I found out the phone system was down. The guy I spoke with said he was new and they had fired the previous guy. I finally got call back from a guy called Phillip who said he was management. I told him I am paid up and up to date with my unit and I can't get into my unit He said I can't help you and I can't give you refund. I said you have rented this unit twice and it's my unit. Please someone help me. I have proof of paying and am current with my rent. read more

I love this place! It's new, clean, and the best self storage in town including all of the Inland Empire. The staff are extremely helpful and easy to talk to. They definitely understand great customer service. They've been working with me awhile in trying to figure out which units are the best for my work items. Tip: One other great thing here is the large units have a light! You no longer have to depend on the hallway light that make it difficult to see your stuff. I highly recommend this place to everyone. I have been with this place since early 2021 and for the most part everything was good. The manager Dave has always been friendly and helpful. They do give a 10 percent discount to military and senior citizens. What I don't like is the fact that they gave us a one month advance notice of a price increase. It wasn't a small price increase, it was a significant price increase. I spoke to the assistant manager, Joe B., about using the option of paying their six month or 12 month plan in advance to lock into the old rates, and was told I had "plenty of time" to decide and that it shouldn't be a problem. Joe B. said he would confirm for me and get back to me with the total cost. I waited for three weeks and it took me two additional calls before I finally decided to come in to get a straight answer. It was just so frustrating to have to chase after the front desk to get a solid answer. When I did come in, Joe B. said he was extremely busy and proceeded to show me a stack of paperwork that he still hadn't gotten to. I politely reminded him that I approached him three weeks prior about paying in advance to lock in my old price and that last time I spoke to him he told me he was going to speak to the boss about it. Joe B. then inputted my info into the computer and said it wouldn't accept the locked in rate. He said he would need to speak to his boss. I told him that I would wait for an answer. I watched Joe B. call the Regional Director, Phil, and he told him that he had been meaning to call him about my issue. I thought that Joe B. would have run it by the Manager, Dave, but it sounds like the regional director runs the show. I then overhead Joe B. and Phil talk about the number of occupied units versus available units and then use a formula to determine the current going rate for my type of unit. Joe B. hung up and told me that he couldn't lock me into my old rate, but could offer me a rate lower than the increased rate. I felt it was a compromise and appreciated Joe B.'s effort. I learned that rate increases occur every March. I understand that a landlord can increase the rent on a month to month term, but if I would of known of the significant rate increase sooner, I could have planned ahead. Based on the conversation I heard between Joe B. and Phil, it is apparent West Coast Storage's priority is profit over customer satisfaction. I just feel that the business owner is being sneaky and that's not fair. I will run out my contract and find another business that is much more organized and transparent. They usually only have one employee at the front desk and once a month I call in to make a payment over the phone. About half of the time I leave a voicemail message and then end up calling back again because no one returns my call. I cannot recommend this place and would recommend using another storage company. read more

I'm over my previous storage place, the big orange guys, and I found this place. Aside from regular units they have indoor climate controlled units which is what I need. The manager was very helpful, didn't pressure me, and even helped make my move easy and stress free. This location is clean and quiet too. I have been with them for about a year and chose them based on their fairly competitive price point per month and being open until 10:30pm. I agreed to pay $139 a month but I just found out they've been charging me $159 for some bogus insurance even though I provided them with renters insurance! As if it couldn't get worse, I just received an email that says their raising the price for my unit by $50 to help with facility costs! They only have 1-3 employees at that recently built facility! What issues can they possibly justify such an increase? Not even a gradual increase either! They're not giving me the time needed to shop for another facility and find time to move which will be when I'm back in California in 2.5 months. I'd respect their answers much more if they were honest about why their doing this as it's obvious. They're using inflation to justify their greed, despite their price increase percentage being much higher than the increase of inflation since 2020. JOKE read more

Been here for around 5 months, and they're raising their prices 40%! The person who works here never returns calls and always has the excuse that they're busy (then why say you'll call back?) have driven down there multiple times only to see no one is in the office. What's the point of the "security" when no one is ever here? Within the first month while putting stuff in storage was approached by someone who was obviously on drugs and was being threatened and yelled at by this person. Had to call the police. Always seeing people moving appliances and when leaving always being stopped trying to be sold these items. The owners of this company are greedy and expect your "locked in" rate to be raised a LARGE amount. Wouldn't recommend this place at all and will be leaving. read more

I moved in early September, and already in January I was informed my rent would increase by about 35%. Absolutely insane. Their solution? Make me wait three weeks, tell me my rate should've been locked in for 10 months and then say that I was misinformed, then offer instead of a $50 increase they can offer $25. Why would I pay more for this unit than I can for one double the size somewhere else? Especially when management is consistently not on property, violent individuals were tenants there, and there are always solicitors inside the lot trying to sell you appliances?! What's the point of the security cameras when Noone is watching? Management will tell you they will get back to you but not do it ever. It is the most ridiculous and greedy company I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Go elsewhere is my recommendation and will continue to be my recommendation. Any company willing to increase a new customers rent that drastically that quickly isn't worthy of anyone's money. Pure greed and absolutely no care in the world for their customers.
