I had a great experience with the staff at extra space in Rialto. We needed two storage units while we were moving from one home to another and had a couple months gap in between. The staff was always kind and answered all of my questions in a timely manner. Please allow me to share my experience. I had been renting a unit for about a year and my monthly payment went up $80 which was almost double my monthly payment. I understand that's associated with cost of living etc. So I went in the office to express my dilema and I was kindly greeted by Shannon. I told him my story and he was able to accommodate me with a new unit just a few feet away from my old one for less under a new contract. That worked out great. I have had a unit for a couple years now and I should've moved out maybe two years ago but the problem is is that what they keep giving me liens because every single time I'm trying to move out I can't get into my damn unit because they didn't send me to the keys they say they didn't change I had been simultaneously renting a second unit that I never ended up using but it was half the price of my unit 2/3s the size. They are very frustrating. I don't have time to be discussing details about this and that. The circular lock was rotated and the key did not open it. From my 06/25-06/26 experiences. Covid-19 has undoubtedly changed the way we all operate, but there are circumstances that sometimes call for us to make judgment calls that may defy the normal protocol and put our necks on the line. As a new lawyer, I have seen countless people do the right thing or make the right judgment call in circumstances where leadership says to behave differently and they usually prevail. In my case, I just moved from DC back to southern California and was setting up my storage unit with my boyfriend. I am currently NINE MONTHS PREGNANT and desperately needed to use the restroom while unloading at my storage unit yesterday and today. I asked Ricardo if I could use their restroom yesterday 06/25, and he refused. A manager at a gas station about ten minutes away made an exception to open their door for me to use their restroom. This was already a disappointment because I spent no money at the gas station and was shown more compassion than a business where I just spent hundreds of dollars. Today, I had to urgently use the restroom again and Ricardo again refused. He said that his neck would be on the line and that the investment group who owns that facility has barred him from allowing anyone from using the restroom under all circumstances. I couldn't believe that an exception could not be made for me in this instance. I asked what investment firm owns his facility that he manages and he said he didn't know (likely untrue, but I will check into this). The review I am writing right now is only my first step because there should at least be medical exceptions where a company can clean the bathroom after letting it air out. This experience says to me compassion, realism, and humanity was not as important as pleasing whoever his (Ricardo's) paycheck comes from. read more

I got this storage 1/5/22 the storage place was very clean and customer service was great! But 5 months later piece increase drastically!! From $235 to now $311!! That's ridiculous went up atleast 30% don't get storage space here unless you are willing for your price to increase drastically within a few months. I use to have public storage and yes the price did increase but not by this much and it would increase after a few years. read more

Constant rent & insurance increases. Rent has gone up 40% in 23 months. They claim supply and demand but things are out of hand. The additional cost of renting a truck to move my stuff is a burden but it's finally time. They are taking advantage of renters. There is also apparently a city well under the property and access to the facility is closed for 3 days every year for maintenance on it. Learned that the hard way. No notice sent out to renters (mail or email), but don't worry your rent increase notice will get to you! Absurd. Great location. Nice property. Unacceptable treatment of customers by price gouging. Will not be doing business w this company again. read more

Stay AWAY from extra space storage they give you a low rate to bring you in then increase your rate a few months after without even telling you !!!! I was paying 210 for a 10x10 unit and not even two months later they increased it to 290$ without even telling me. What if that was all the money I had left for the week and you just took all the extra money I had bc you are scammers and didn't tell me about increasing my rent. Should be illegal to do that!!! How are you guys going to take money out of somebody's account without asking if they're OK with the rent increase and it's not even like it's a few dollars a whole $80 you guys are taking without asking so wrong. The worst part is that nobody in the office is helpful they never tell you this when you're signing the papers for the unit they're all nice in talking to you but not once did he mention that they can increase the rent whenever they feel like it or that your rent will increase after a few months of you being there that's how they get you so be careful. read more
